Jack had to keep himself from gritting his teeth and coming off as aggressive when he swiped Brian's finger out of his face. Was Brian really questioning him, pegging him as that big of an asshole. He knew he wasn't the best brother in the world, but damn.
"You know I do give a shit about you. You're my brother, man! I'd take a fucking bullet for you any day!" He stared right back at his brother. The words that had come out of his mouth sounded kinda weird considering his actions these past few days, but in the end those were the truth. Not the ones where he said he didn't care.
"I told you I wasn't myself, I was piss fucking drunk because Faye was gone thanks to these god damn pictures... I don't even know why I went to the garage of all places." He paused his rambling, turning his gaze away for a moment while the muscles of his jaws tensed, his voice lowering before he finally continued. "And you, you were just convenient, something that would hit me back... I'm fucking sorry, ok? Shit got out of hand."

Jack's rambling might have sounded like some sort of a lame excuse to anybody else but they did make sense to Brian and instantly made him feel a little better. So he hadn't been that wrong about the younger one after all. "That's what I figured." He nodded. Surprising himself he gave Jack a friendly slap on the shoulder. With a bit of smirk he mumbled. "Count on me to hit you back, huh? What kind of bull is that?"

Jack rolled his eyes, though the slight smile appearing on his face made it clear the gesture wasn't purely made out of annoyance alone. He knew he had gone too far, both four days ago, as well as today with his attitude. His big mouth always did have the tendency to speak before he actually knew what he was saying, and he was glad that Brian didn't peg his apology as utter bullshit, his usual way to weasel himself out of any kind of mess he might have created.
"It came out of my mouth, didn't it? So obviously it's my kind of bull." He mumbled, a slight smirk pulling at the corner of his mouth. Someday they would laugh at this, maybe anyway, though his already lacking bank account probably wouldn't be laughing for a long time, not with his ever building financial debt to his brother...
"By the way.. you really really should learn to hit like a man, instead of a little girl." The smirk grew visibly while he clapped Brian on the shoulder. Just like that he was taking the piss out of his brother again. Whether it was inappropriate or not, he never did learn to refrain from it, nor did he want to.

The words as well as Jack's hint of a smirk let him know that he was easing up. Obviously he appreciated that they were trying to ment things. It looked like that anyway. The Jack once again tried to jank his chain. With a slight roll of his eyes Brian took in the bruises on his brothers face. They told a different story. A little sour he added. "At least you managed to hit like a man this time, eh?" It was one thing to punch your brother, it was another to use a wrench. He couldn't help but give him the eye. In an attempt not to ruin the mood he added: "You and your smart remarks are going to bite you in the ass big time one day."

Faye stepped into the kitchen, her hair freashly dry, she had changed, her white tee for a black one, tight skinny jeans, coverng her previously bare legs, her hair flowed around her shoulders in soft curls, with sligh make up, with a breath she hesitated at the door, trying to figure out what was being said outside, all she could get though was that Brian and Jack had gotten into a fight, she didnt know why and she wanted to, yet she wasnt going to question either of them.
Shaking her head she pushed open the door, sunlight hitting her eyes, looking over at the two men she offered them a bright smile. "You two want anything to drink, eat"She questioned, hip resting agasint the door keeping it from closeing on her.

Jack had to contain a roll of his eyes, knowing damn well Brian had ever right to, ironically, beat him over the head with what he had done, yet he couldn't stop the slight huff that did manage to escape from his lips at Brian's next comment. There already had been plenty of times that his big mouth had managed to get him in to more trouble than he could afford, but would he ever admit to that? Fuck no, he was still too damn stubborn for something like that and the day he actually would deliberately keep his mouth shut and refrain from making any type of remark, would probably be the day hell froze over.
"I'm sure one day it will, bro. Also pretty damn sure that day is not today, though." He shot Brian a wink, a slight smile forming on his face along with it. Even if it might seem it, he wasn't out to provoke his brother though. Not this time. It hadn't gotten passed him that he should be glad he could still say he had a brother after what he had done or even said. None of it had been too pretty, either.
His attention moved from Brian to Faye when she appeared in the kitchen door, glad for the, hopefully, change of subject and not to mention the chance he was looking for to get out of this conversation. He never handled guilt well. Always hid it behind a joke or..well, simply ran from it.
"Yeah, I'll get us a beer." He mumbled, placing a quick kiss on Faye's lips before he moved past her, heading inside.

It was probably a good thing that Faye had stepped outside before Brian got the chance to become angry again and maybe ruin their chance of a reunion. He watched jack walk away out of the corner of his eye and gave faye a quick look. Then he turned to sit on one of the old garden chairs. With his elbows on his knees he put his head in his hands for a moment. If he really told Jack how sour he still was he would probably just get a snoody answer. Maybe it was better to swallow it. It seemed like his brother understood that he'd gone too far. Somehow Brian expected a little more of an apology for almost blowing his lights out though. "What's up, Faye?" He asked absentmindedly. It didn't make sense that she was here in the first place. After all her leaving made Jack snap.

Faye nodded her head as Jack past her, his lips lingering agasint hers for a moment, with a breath she turned towards Brian, steppign over towards him, with gaze locked on his she smiled. "Hey" SHe mummbled, running her hand through her hair, swallowing and shifting her foot nervously.
"Far, far to much Brian" SHe shrugged her shoulder, moving to sit next to her brother inlaw to be, she smiled over at him, eyes sparkling, "Im sorry Jack beat the crap out of you" She mummbled, knowing it had been herfault for leaving.

A little surprised about her apology he searched her face. "How do you kow it was him?" The question might sound stupid. even brian realized that and tried to joke in order to look less stupid. "You should have seen Jack..." When the words left his mouth he realized that they sounded ever more stupid. Brian looked away wondering what had actually happened to make Jack act the way he did. "You don't need to apologize, Faye. It's not like it was you! He responsible for his actions."

Faye lowered her gaze and let out a sigh, she couldnt begin to imagine the way Jack had been when he had arrived home from work to find her gone, but she ahd a pretty good idea, she had been broken herself, lost and so confused. With a sigh she ran a hand through her hair and flicked her gaze over to Brian.
Shaking her head she licked her lips and nodded her head, "I should have stuck around and let him explain" She muttered, not sure how much Jack had told his brother.

"That doesn't make him any less responsible but maybe it would have helped." he smiled slightly at her. "You two have been through a lot in a short time. It'll break you up or make you be really close. Either way. You've changed him." Brian chewed his lip and motioned for her to sit down. "I vagely remember something about pictures. Do you want to tell me what happened?"

Faye smiled nodding her head, yes she could have stayed, allowed him to explain, maybe things wouldnt have gone the way they did, with a small shake of her head she stepped towards him, dropping down onto the seat next to him, her eyes shining as she looked over at him.
"There were pictures of him, with another girl kissing, then pictures showing him going to the bathroom and her following and then him leaving adjusting himself, then she left" She sighed shaking her head, as she looked over at him, she should have known he wold have never done anything like that, but, she shoook her head, lowering her gaze.

"With the way things are between you two I doubt he would have done anything and I know him pretty well...for hem. twentysomething years." He looked at Faye and saw the hurt that was still in her eyes. "It could have been a coincidence. I zip up my pants after I pee, too! was there actually anything else in the photos? Cause I've received one hell of a spanking over these damn pics and i knwo for sure that i wasn't in them...was it even Jack and who gave you the pictures?"

Faye smiled nodding her head, she was more then aware of how things were between her and Jack, but she was also aware of how they had gotten together, licking her lips she shook her head and let out a breath.
"I'd think i know Jack when i saw him" She stated slightly ofended that Brian would have said something like that, with a breath she ran a hand through her hair once more, tugging at the endes of her hair, "THe fact he was kissing her Brian was good enough for me" She stated, licking her lips she sighed, shrugging her shoulders, "it just said thought you'd like to know what Jack was up to behind your back, your friend"

Brian hid his shock well. So Jack had kissed her. "A friend? What if the friend wasn't a friend. Maybe Jack was set up by somebody. Jack's in love with you and I know one thing about him...he's a fuck up but not a lier." A quick glance towards the house confirmed he was still inside..probably evading any further discussions with the big brother.

Faye shook her head "I didnt let myself think about anything Brian, i get i fucked up as much as him by leaving, but if i had stayed, let him explain to me, there would be no us" She admitted, with a small shake of her head, she sighed, biting the inside of her lip.
"But we're good now"She stated "Or at least i hope we are"

Brian suddenly hugged her. "Faye. You got me all wrong. I'm not blaming you for anything. I'm just saying you might have been set up." For a moment he waited whether she'd pull away. "If I know one thing it's that you need to do a lot of forgiving and forgetting with my brother." He motioned up at his head. gently he ran his hand over her hair. "I think you two will be okay.

Faye was shocked when Brian suddenly pulled her to him, with a sigh she slowly nodded her head, but allowed herself to be comforted by his embrace, with a small chuckle she nodded her head, yes, Jack was the forgiving and forgetting type, "Yea"She mummbled pulling away from him, she smiled, nodding her head, more then aware that they would be okay, after all he had asked ehr to marry him, something she hadnt expected him to do any time soon.
"Thanks, i just...who the hell would play with us like this i mean Nate's out of the picture now,"

"I have no idea. We haven't made many friends lately." he dropped his hand because he didn't want to look too comfortable with her in case Jack got back. "I'm sure you know people who can run the pictures for prints." he winked.

Faye laughed "I would if Jack didnt burn them" She stated softly, with a shake of her head, "There hasnt been anythign else so, maybe someone got the wrong idea" She licked her lips, twisting to see what was taking Jack so long getting the drinks, she smiled and turned back towards BRian.
"SO how is Tyler"She questioned with a raised brow, realizing that involuntarily, since the little boy had been born she hadnt really paid much attention, more to do with the fact it hurt to think of such things then actually because she didnt care.
