It had been a day since she had found the pictures of Jack at that chick, that little slut, and she had refused to go home, left her phone of the hook, she couldnt bare to see his name flashing on the screen, Leon had questioned her, wanted to know what had happened when she had turned up on his door step, but she hadnt told him, just said something had happened, the last thing she needed was him freaking out, especailly when he had told her what had happened with Jack and Brian at the garage.
With a sigh she sent the message to Jeremy, she had told him he could have one date, and she would send the address when she knew where she was stopping. Part of her was actually looking forward to it, in the short time she had know him she had enjoyed his company, but at the same time she was worried she would end up hurting her. With a sigh she let out a breath and pulled the brush through her hair once more.
She had no idea where they were going so she had stuck to a simple black flowing dress which wold be suitable for anything they did. SHe ignored the look Leon shot her as she stepped into the living room and over to the door where Jeremy was waitig, with a smile she looked up at him. "Hey"

Jeremy wasn't exactly expecting the place he showed up at and he wasn't excepting to recognize the guy watching them from further inside, "Hey yourself... You look amazing," he said taking her hand lightly in his own kissing the back of her knuckles, "You ready to head out?"
He was dressed in a nice red button shirt with black slacks, and black shoes. It wasn't an snooty restaurant but he wanted to treat her at least somewhat nice, on the only date he was ever allowed to have with the beautiful woman he was looking slightly down at.

Leon furrowed her brow as he watched the guy who was stood in his doorway, with furrowed brow he watched with interest, he was sure he knew him, he just couldnt place wheere.
With a breath Faye smiled up at the man in front of her, she still couldnt help wishing she had met him long befoer Jack, she could more then see herself with him. Licking her lips she blushed softly as he kissed her knuckles. Dropping her gaze she heaved in a breath, her dar eyes wondering over his form.
"You look pretty fine yourself" She addmited as she stepped outside the apartment, her gaze shiting over to Leon, before shepulled the door closed.
"So where are we going" She questioned with an interested raised brow.

"Athenea Bar and Grill," Jeremy said holding her door open for her, "It's the price I pay for not knowing what kinds of things you like. That and I used to play there when I was still playing guitar as a side job. I promise it's good food and a pretty laid back environment, just like the beach," he said with a heart breaker smile.
He wanted to pleasse her, wanted to make this single date with her worth something. Especially when there was no chance he would ever have her at his side like this again. She was engaged and he would play the douting friend whenever he could, because she deserved it.

Faye smiled as she rested agaisnt the open door for a moment, her dark eyes locked upon his features, with a small nod of her head she draw her lower lip between her teeth. "Sounds good" She stated softly, her eyes twinkling before she lowered herself into the car.
Once they were moving she turned her gaze over to him, wind blowing in her hair ever so slightly, "How about i help you out with the not knowing me" She stated, "Ask anything you want" Honestly she would just be grateful for to keep her mind of Jack, and Jeremy really was excellent company.

Jeremy laughed softly as his grinned, "Alright then... What's your favorite food? I figure keep it simple till I can figure how personal I can get with you. That is unless your favorite food is too personal," he said glancing at her as he drove.
He wanted to know her, really he needed to know her, Jeremy was selfish in one major way, he needed connections with people. Sure he could charm his way in and out of any situation, but that kind of thing lead him to a lot of false connections. Those false connections weren't good when he did what he did, it made him need paranoia to get him through every thing.

Faye let out a soft laugh, she adored that about him, how easily he could make her relax, make her laugh. Licking her lips she flicked her own gaze over to him her dark eyes sparkling, "Hmm, Bolognaise" She stated softly, "Its probarly the only thing i can cook without burning" She smiled over at him and let out a soft breath, her figners brushing through her hair ever so slightly.
"When i said anything though i meant anything" Letting out a breath she smiled brighter still "Get as personal as you want, i promise i wont get offended" Letting out a breath she draw her lower lip between her teeth. "I mean as long as i can as well" A soft breath fell from her lips and she turned her gaze to him once more.

Jeremy nodded, "You can ask me anything you like. If it's too personal I'll let you know, there are somethings I not comfortable to discuss with anyone," he meant that, there were parts of his life he never talked about with anyone.
"Alright let's see... Why Jack? Not saying that there is anything wrong with him I'm just curious as to why him and not anyone else."

Faye smiled over at him, she knew all to well that some things couldn’t be said, especially when it came to the past, with a small smile she nodded her head. His question though caught her of guard, furrowing her brow and pursing her lips she turned her gaze over towards him.
“I dunno ya know” She shrugged her shoulders, she had never fully thought of why she had chosen Jack, it had just happened, with the shit they had gone through they had gravitated towards each other. “He makes me feel safe” She smiled, saying it out loud it stupid, but she loved him, for more then just that.
“What about you, how does a good looking and amazing guy not have a girlfriend”

Jeremy nodded his acceptance to her response before laughing softly at her question, "hm... I suppose that I've got too many secrets for girls to stick around. Though when I do have someone they try to find out all my secrets and most of the time they don't like what they find. You combine that with my night job and there is plenty in the dating department left to be desired," he said trying not to make it seem like one night stands was all he was good for.
Though there had been more then enough of those in his life, he needed something more, more then he had at the moment, "Alright here is another hard one... if you could redo anything, what would it be? I don't need reasons just curious."

Faye nodded her head at his words, it seemed a valid reason for why he didn’t have a girl, someone he could come home to “Secrets and woman don’t really go” She licked her lips, letting out a small sigh “In less said woman has just as many” She stated, she didn’t bother asking what he did, just left it at that.
Her eyes became haunted for a moment, before she pushed them away, with a tight smile she stared out over the window, “Would have listened to my brother about everything, then I’d have gotten out of Miami” Drawing her lower lip between her teeth she allowed her smile to relax.
“You don’t seem like a guy who would have regrets, but im wrong, often” She chuckled softly, “So tell me, what goes on inside that head of yours, do you regret anything” She questioned, tilting her head, the light of the street lights reflecting of her face.

Jeremy laughed bitterly looked at the odometer before returning his eyes to the road, "I regret not going to the grocery story with my parents..." he couldn't shake off the tremble of regret that slipped through his hands before he tightened his grip on the steeling wheel.
He had fought with his parents the night they had died, ranted and screamed at them that they hated him before he locked himself in his room. Jeremy remembered watching bitterly as the drove off, how he walked out of his room to drown his anger in a carton of chocolate ice-cream, the scream of sirens driving past the house, the scream of sirens and flashing lights that pulled into the driveway. The terror in thinking he had gotten busted for boosting the motorcycle hidden in the tool shed, and the relief to know that he hadn't been caught, but it was his parents that were now gone.
Jeremy couldn't say anything else as his throat closed with regrets, he had a life time of them... regrets about women, about drinking, about smoking, about boosting, about the life he was living, hell he even regretted not going professional with his guitar playing.
He slowed to a stop in front of the restaurant, the trip not seeming long enough, but that could have been due to his lead foot.

Faye swallowed, apparently it wasn’t only her with memories she would rather never remember, she also regretted asking the question, even if it meant she had more in common with him then first realized. Her question had obviously brought about his own pain. All to soon they were pulling up outside the restaurant and he was stopping the car.
Slowly she exhaled, shifting in her seat so that she could look at him, she had the sudden urge to reach out to him, the look in his eyes struck at the chords in her heart, slowly her hand lifted and she gently pulled his hand of the wheel. His hands were slightly rough, obviously from his days playing the guitar, smiling softly, her fingers smoothed over his knuckles, it was a movement she wasn’t fully aware of doing.
“Im sorry” She stated softly, her dark eyes sparkling as her gaze locked with his own deep dark eyes. It was as if all the air had been sucked from the car, her gaze was so focused on his, she couldn’t be sure if it was the recent heartbreak, or something much, much more. Her breath hitched in her throat, and her gaze drifted down to his lips, before lifting once more, suddenly realizing how close they had actually gotten. “We should er, head in”

Jeremy cleared his throat his eyes resting on her hands for a moment before her looked at her, "It's not your fault," he said softly as he moved forward and placed a soft kiss on her cheek, "Regrets hurt everyone, but it makes us stronger people," he said pulling back smiling softly at her.
He nodded and kissed her knuckles softly once more, "Yeah got to wine and dine you, take both our minds off the past," Jeremy pushed the memories away, he could be a responsible adult for one night, then when he went home to that lonely ass apartment of his he could be the irresponsible idiot that wanted to escape from reality for a few short hours.
"Come on," he said in a whisper, more to coax himself to move then her.

When he moved towards her she thought he was going to kiss her, she wanted him to kiss her, she wanted to feel it, to know what if felt like to have those lips on hers, yet she was glad he didn’t, that he simply pressed a kiss to her cheek instead. “I wouldn’t count on it” She stated softly, her own past hadn’t made her stronger, she was still the same insecure girl she was growing up, and back in Miami.
Finally he pulled away fro her, and she could breath once more, licking her lips she slipped from the car and waited for him to come to her side before turning her gaze to hi, “Wining and dining sounds good” She stated softly, her dark eyes sparkling as she looked at him. She had never felt so close and connected to a guy as she did with him, with hi, it was something different, as it was with Jack. Letting out a soft breath she let out a breath as they enterered the restaurant.
Once they were seated she looked at him, with a raised brow, “So what is it you do” She questioned, she had only ever seen him at the beach, more often then not playing music for her.

Jeremy rubbed the back of his neck, "Um... I uh...," he was stuck without a good way to respond and walk around the question she had asked.
There was a sick feeling building in his gut, the same one that always came just before everything came crashing down around him. He took a deep breath and closed his eyes for a moment focusing on crushing that feeling before he looked at Faye, the beautiful woman sitting across from him, the one he liked and he couldn't have because she was someone else's.
He started again mind doing double time to work around her question, "Well other then playing guitar and working on my car. I'm a business man, I mainly work on imports at night when the other side of the world is just waking up a day ahead of us," he said hoping that quelled any other questions about his work, not that that had ever worked on a woman before.

He seemed uncomfortable with the question, so she simply left it, she had lived with her brother long enough, Nate to, and when they were uncomfortable it meant they were doing something they shouldn’t be, something that was more then likely Illegal. With a smile she licked her lips, her dark eyes sparkling. “Imports, like cars and stuff” She questioned soflty.
A waitress came over to take their drink orders and she simply ordered a white wine, she was glad when it arrived, it allowed her to quench her thirst, and her suddenly dry lips. Letting out a soft breath she lifted her hand soothing it through her dark locks.

"Yeah cars and everything in them are always on the list for my employers," Jeremy said focusing on her knowing the telltale signs like the paranoid freak he was, she knew, somehow she knew what ever else he was doing was illegal, and it was. Hell have the time the cars weren't even street legal.
He smiled at the waitress as she delivered his beer, Killigans. Jeremy glanced at Faye as she ran a hand through her hair.
"Did I mention how absolutely amazing you look tonight?" he asked flashing a heart breaker grin at her, he really did love how that dress fitted her.

Faye nodded her head with a smile, he had obviously told the lie very often, bt it also meant whatever he was doing it really did have something to do with cars, but hell it had nothing to do with her, so she wasn’t going to push, maybe later, when he was more comfortable with her. “You’d er get along with my brother, he’s into all that crap” She stated with a soft laughing leaving her lips.
His comment caught her of guard and her glass hung half way between her lips and the table, her dark eyes shone for a moment a soft blush creeping up and over her cheeks, “Thank you” She stated softly, her gaze dropping for a moment, heaving in a soft breath she finally allowed herself to lift her gaze and look at him once more. “It means a lot Jer, I er, don’t trust people often, hell at all, I still don’t trust Jack, not completely” She smiled, suddenly nervous, which showed as she draw her lower lip between her teeth “But you er, you make me feel special, safe”

Jeremy shrugged, "Your brother didn't seem to like me all that much when I showed up at the apartment. I think I've met him at a bar before, I don't really remember it was a while ago, but he looked familiar."
He looked at her and smiled softly one of his true smiles, "Thank you... You need at least one person to make you feel like the amazing woman you are," he grinned impishly to let her know that the next words were in jest, "Though between you and me, if you ever decide Jack isn't right for you, you come find me. I'll sweep you off your feet into Neverland."
Jeremy kept smiling that soft smile, some where between the beginning and the end of his last statement was the truth, he would try and sweep her off her feet if anything bad happened to her in her 'committed' relationship. Even if he knew it was wrong, he knew that she would always need him to at least talk, and he was completely okay with that.
