Walter sat outside the parking garage with his dark shades on, he was dressed in a cut sleeve camo jacket, faded blue jeans and a light tan ball cap. He drummed the fingers of his left hand on the roof of the dark blue Chevelle. His right hand was resting on the clutch flipping it between idle and first impatiently. The ride along was late, he wasn't sure how the kid was suppose to be the fall guy he wasn't sure how he was going to ride it off or even what the package was, the trunk was welded shut and the end was dragging ass on turns.
Any half brained cop could tell there was something heavy in the back. Walter was a bit worried but knew the car had the power to haul if needed. He was a bit happy that Carter's goons were easy to spot in the Guido beater a block behind him. Walter was thinking about calling in some favors, fuck the NSA and fuck this mission. He could feel the familiar sinking sensation of a mission going bad. He bit back the feeling and checked his watch for the tenth time. Where was this mook?

Jack jogged the last part toward the parking garage where he was supposed to have been at minutes ago. Even now, when things really mattered, he was fucking late and he could only curse himself under his breath for it. If he had already screwed up, he was sure as hell he was not going to be able to live with the consequences of his actions this time.
He let out a relieved breath when the parked dark blue Chevelle came in to view, his step slowing only barely. There were no illusions on what he was about to do, digging his own grave, but he was more than ready for it. The only questions that remained now, were how deep it would end up to be or if he'd come out in one piece, alive.
With one last silent prayer to whatever tuned-in god or deity, he opened the passengers-side door and without one word, slid in to the seat. He rested his head back against the headrest, briefly closing his eyes as he mouthed a 'fuck' before he finally looked sideways at the driver and his brow furrowed.
"You look.. vaguely familiar.."

'Shit.' Walter thought to himself as he quickly brought the car into gear and began to cruise down the drive slowly watching the goons in the rearview. "Don't look at me, keep your eyes strait ahead and buckle in tight." He demanded gruffly, "Faye's fine Jack." he said calmly as he reached into his vest and unclipped the silenced .45 tucked in the shoulder harness. He looked over at his ride along. "When we get out of this I'll tell you were she is." He revved the engine up loudly and began to pick up speed taking the main roads to the freeway. The tail was good when he tried to change lanes they would work their way over and push him back on course. They were herding him, he would just need to bide his time.
As he began taking longer streets with more turns he waited for jack's response in silence. What had this kid done to warrant the ride along?

Jack buckled himself up and glanced in his side mirror while he snorted at Walter's words. It had taken him a few seconds too long for his own likings, but he had finally remembered the name that went with the face and the 'G.I Joe' bastard definitely had guts lying straight to his face.
"I'm sure this might sound strange to you, but I seem to be having some trouble believing that. Especially after I saw what I'm guessing you did to her." He snarled when he turned his attention back on Walter. Not failing to notice the firearm, the muscles in his jaws tensed under the effort of keeping himself from doing something stupid. He didn't quite have getting his ass capped by this guy on his agenda just yet, but the day was still young..
"She fucking trusted you, Walter."

"Call Brian if you don't believe me. If I wanted to really torture her it wouldn't have been that bloody and I would have left her tied up in your front yard. I used movie props. Did you notice I did nothing to her torso and only hit her once?" Walter said calmly and continued onto the freeway. He maintained the right speed switching lanes and testing how much attention their escort was paying. "Verone had to see the tape so I needed it to look real, she's at a safehouse on fifteenth and arrowhead blvd. She hates me and might have to see a councilor but it's better then dead." Walter kept shifting his gaze from the mirror to the street and back.
"In a bit we are going to pull off the side of the road, you are going to drive I need to see what's in the trunk without these clowns knowing. Carter has us sighted up right now and I want to know why. Never had a trunk wielded shut before, probably not a good thing."

The pacing, sitting around, shooting at random things in his own backyard and trying to calm down a baby missing his mother had Brian completely on edge. Hours he had spent carrying Tyler around, more hours wondering what was happening to Mia and what could be done. Three packs of cigarettes lay empty on the kitchen floor even though he usually didn't smoke and his eyes were red rimmed from balling his eyes out for 2 minutes every three hours. This was it. Brian couldn't handle it any longer and out of desperation decided that it was time to do something. So he dialled Walter's number and hoped the man would answer the phone. Biting his finger nails he listened to the annoying long ringing.

Walter flipped open his phone as it vibrated, "Well speak of the devil," he said into the receiver, "Joker's city morgue you stab em we slab em." He said sarcasticly and shot a glance at Jack. "You will never guess who I have in my passenger seat right now bro." He shot another nervous glance towards the tag along car.

"Who do you have in your passenger seat?" Brian said witzh little interest and added a little annoyed. "Shove your morgue jokes.!" That was a topic he really didn't appreciate right now." In the background he could hear the sounds of a driving car.

"Your brother has been set up for the fall, I got two goons on our trail and I'm sure that they will try to gun us down after the delivery." He shifted his glance to the younger O'conner and took a short breath, "Any word on Mia?" He asked with a concerned tone. He was more then 100% sure Carter had her and if these goons decided to pop off after the drop Walter was already set for war.

Brian's next breath got stuck in his throat when he heard about his younger brother being in a car with Walter, on a THE job for Verone and about to become either the fall guy or a sieve. "How could you let him get into this? Jack's...he doesn't know how to react. They'll kill him!" His anxiety, that had already reached unknown peaks, was going up two notches. "No, nothing on Mia...do you know where she is? Where are you right now?"

Walters voice had an eery humor to it. "Eh, you know just out on a nice afternoon drive. Wind in my hair, insane over paid hitmen following me...don't worry about your brother I'll make sure he lives, honestly didn't even know he was getting set up for the fall. I'm going to call you in a bit once I get off the freeway, I'm hauling something heavy and my trunks weilded shut." He down shifted and dropped his speed falling down two lanes. "Wanna talk to Jack? He doesn't believe me that Faye is alive and well."

"Oh no." Brian muttered. Walters humour in this situation was killing him. Not only was Mia gone, now his brother was about to be shot at. "Just freaking tell me the exit. I'll be there asap." He noticed that his hand was shaking. Did he really care that much about Jack or could he blame it on the stress. "Mia-where IS SHE?"

"Brian calm your ass down," Walter said sternly, his humor stressed. "We'll find her if I have to ask one of these guys myself. They'll talk they always do, in the mean time I hope you are prepared to do whatever you need to get her back. And I do mean whatever, I have a plan and you may not like it too much." He looked at Jack and then back out the front window quietly, "Call your friend Dom up, I want you and him to meet me at my house in an hour, that should be enough time for Jack and I to get things settled out here. Be prepared to open fire if things get hot."

"Oh shit." Brian rubbed his eyes with his index finger and thumb. Obviously Walter wanted to deal with Veron's thugs by himself as he wasn't giving away their location. "I'm prepared alright. I'll be there with Dom...what's the plan?"

"Well...I don't know about you but I'm planning on killing these goons, killing anyone Carter has on his pay roll, lighting his house on fire and then knee capping him and leaving him to Dom and your mercy, havn't got much farther then that yet. But I am probably going to go out on a limb here and say he know's who I am by now...and I don't like that..." He quickly slammed the break down and shoved the car into reverse skidding backwards past the trailing car and between several ticked off passengers.
He shifted gears and hauled down the offramp chirping and drifting the full round about and down into an ally. "Hey Brian, I'm going to have to let you go. I'll call back after I figure out what that loud thud in the trunk was." He clicked the phone closed and pulled off into a construction site. "Jack your brother says hi." He smiled and parked while quickly jumping out. In a flash he was on the other side of the car with a large knife in his hand, "You drive, i'm getting in the back seat and seeing if I can get through it into the back, this stinks to high hell." He said, all traces of humor and humility was gone from the scarred maw now. "Hurry man, they will catch up with us soon."

"Yeah, well fuck him." He muttered as he got out of the passenger's and exchanged it for the driver's one, leaving the 'and fuck you, too.' unspoken.. for now. This whole gig was becoming more and more 'interesting' in an unpleasant way. Brian had known all this time Faye was safe, keeping him in the dark. Now he was most likely going to get shot at.. and for what? So Walter could play the damn hero?
He could feel the back of the car drag ass right from the take off, but none of that was any of his concerns now when he shifted gears once more, picking up on speed. Stupid and reckless came to mind when he threw one quick glance in the rear-view mirror. No sight of the goons just yet.. Good.
He shifted down and with one quick yank on both the e-brake and the wheel, the car took a sharp turn for the wrong direction the moment they left the construction site. Walter hadn't been too bright to give him the driver's seat after telling him the location to Faye's safe-house. As long as he made sure he'd loose the flunky-squad on the way over there, he'd at least be able to see with his own eyes she was still alive and breathing.
If he was going to get his ass killed by whoever today, he might as well do it 'Jack'-style.

Walter looked out the back window from where he was busy prying the seat away. "Hey Fuck-o, you know seeing your girl right now might not be such the brightest idea? The car may be tracable and you will be leading a lot of people with a lot of guns right to her. If you want to get her killed do it without me around." He drove his fist through the back panal of the car with a satisfying crunch finaly through the padding the cusions, the smell of sulfer and gasoline filled the car. Whatever was in the metal cannisters in the back could not be good.
Walter stopped moving, his eyes wide in shock. He shot a look at Jack then back into the small hole he made. "Jack we need to get heading to the beach now..." His voice was barely a whisper as if he was afraid the sound would set off the dirty bomb. "Somone wants to make a statement here...and that statement is going to be a crater." He looked at the wiring leading from one cannister to another and the metal and reinforced tubing that lead through them. It wasn't sophistcated but it was big, he went over the directions again and were the drop off point was going to be. He calculated it between the parking lot where it was suppose to be stopped and anything important. "Shit." He said and repeated it again. "Fuck that, get us out of town now, I need to see if there is a timer release on this or remote detonation."
He feverently went at the backing again trying to tear a larger hole in the car.

Completely unaware of the hot luggage Walter and Jack had in their trunk Brian was mostly concered with getting Mia back. Nervously he pushed Dom's number on speed dial and waited for him to answer. When he finally heard the familiar rumble he simply commanded. "Bro, shit's hitting the fan. Meet me at 39 Winston Place in 15 minutes and bring your guns." While he was talking to Dom he made his way to the basement where he had stashed his own stuff, unlocked an old wardrobe and pulled out his vest, a box with guns, a rifle and two boxes of amo. he briefly put the phone down and slipped the vest over his vest, then closed the velcro on the bottom. Clapping his hand on his chest he muttered. "Game on."

"Fuck, fuck, fuck!" He yelled as he frustratingly pounded one fist on the wheel. The car traceable, not something he had thought of when he'd decided to take a run for the money. He wasn't cut out for this bullshit, the toying and the manipulating, but maybe that was why he'd been such an easy pull-in for Verone's dirty work.
His eyes moved to the rear-view mirror again before he just resorted to looking over his shoulder when he heard the rest of Walter's words. "What do you mean a 'crater'? It's a fucking bomb?!" Now there was enough to get the fair amount of adrenaline pumpin, he truly was in over his head and way, waaay beyond that.
He turned his focus back in front of him again, continuing his silent but more than profound string of curses while he took the first exit that would lead to a high-way out of the city limits, this time without taking sharp cut corners. He was not going to be the one to set the damned thing off, going out with a 'big bang' didn't sound so fun now that the chance was present and quite.. literally at that.
"Tell me you'll be able to defuse it without blowing us... me! to smithereens."

"Like I said, depends on if it's a remote detonator or timed. If it's timed...I can defuse it, Carter gave us a deadline but he sent other's to follow us so I'm going to go with remote detonator." He began flinging parts of the old back seat out the window and into the road to make room. As soon as he could he began rotating the explosive around in front of him, not text book style but if he screwed up they wouldn't be around for the consiquences. He carefully began to examine the wiring and stumbled across a wired and rigged cellphone. It was a cheap pay as you go type and Walter had an idea, he moved his hand over his belt till he found the multi-tool he was looking for. "Jack, listen to me carefully, I need you to pull over slowly once we are out of town." He began working the plastic away making sure to keep away from the wires leading from it. Finally he got to the his mark, the small plastic sim card that gave the phone it's number. 'Bingo' he mouthed and came out of the trunk smiling. "Let's get these shits to follow us down to the desert, if they wanted to see an explosion they will get one." He dropped the SIM card on his seat and sat back to stabilize the explosive until Jack was able to stop moving. "I'm guessing the radius is going to be about a quarter mile in all directions from where the car was suppose to be marked. Both a school and a hospital were on that block..." He looked up at the rearview mirror and then back out the window. "You know how to fire a pistol?"
