Angel took one look at him and wrapped her arms around him, "No offense but you look like crap," she said smiling softly, "And you looked like you needed a hug," she offered before letting go and taking a step back from him.
She moved back to give him some more space as the deathly quite of the garage hit her, "We need to get you some speakers or something. You could hold a funeral in here with as quiet as it is," she teased, "Sorry if you could hear my music... It's the only way I can stay awake when I'm driving in the early morning. So how's your son?" she asked sitting on the counter next to him her legs swinging back and forth slightly.

Brian held his breath when Angel wrapped her arms around him. What was this girl doing in the early morning? After a brief moment he relaxed and enjoyed the hug. "Wow, ...thanks." He smiled a little awkwardly. "Thank you. Yeah, me and Mia are having some issues...but Tyler is good. He's growing so fast, learning so many things. It's awesome. He's becoming a little boy. He'll be one soon." Hopefully Mia and him managed tio work their problems out by then.
Brian looked around and pointed to the small old radio. "What, you don't like my sound system?"

Angel laughed, "He sounds like your whole life," she said smiling warmly, "Wish I had had a dad like you. Well..." she trailed off teasingly.
She looked at the radio before looking back at him, "I can bring in my old stereo system if you like. All it's doing is taking up room in my apartment. So boss man what's on the agenda for today? Hopefully no more brake systems and maybe I'm get to meet your other employees, you had said there was another guy, but yeah..."

"Tyler is really important, probably the most important person in my life...but not the only one." He turned around quickly and stepped around the counter. "Nah, don't worry about it. I'll go and buy one tonight. My partner lent me some cash." Brian didn't say how much cash it was exactly. "Today you can call the customer with the breaks and we'll check out how your customer service skills are. I have to finish up my brothers car...he'll have my head if I don't."

Angel perked up suddenly, "Oh you have a brother do you? Is he single? And before you give me the are you nuts look, I like guys and taking the assumption he's like you, as in a racer, I need a 'partner in crime' if I wanna race," she said giving air quotes to Brian.
She slipped down off the counter and flipped through the records sitting next to the phone finding the one with the Black Ford in for a brakes issue, "No offense, but you need better book keeping, and I swear I will stop ragging on you about the little stuff," she said holding up her hands and smiling at him as she lifted the phone up.
Angel glanced over the notes, seeing that Brian had checked her brake system and checked it as good to go. She dialed the number and listened to it ring when the owner finally picked up she spoke up biting back both the urge to call herself Diablo, and the one to say she was from Diablo de Sangre Customs.
Angel nodded to the phone, telling them what the problem had been, and how much it cost to fix it. When then went up in arms about the price Angel calmly explained the repairs, giving them prices of the parts that had needed to be replaced and the work they had done to make sure everything was in working condition. She smiled when they seemed to calm down, and thanked her before she told them the car was ready to be picked up when ever they wanted to come by.

Joker chewed the end of his cigar as he pulled the overly large semi onto the back of the lot. The gutted remains of a beaten up Skyline and spare parts were stacked in the back and his own project, a '69 Mach 1 towed behind it. He blasted the horn before stepping from the rig. He dusted his hat off and threw the butt to the ground. "Hola boils and ghouls!" He shouted and looked at the new female, and addressed Brian as he walked in "I'm gone for a couple of weeks and you replace me? Damn, well at least she looks better then me." He roared in laughter, his skin was tanned deeply and he wasn't walking odd for once. Popping his neck as he sat down he nodded at the Skyline, "A present from a friend in Miami, he pulled the chasis from the polices demo lot about a month after I left," He smiled, "Recognize the color and after market fenders?" Walter had gone through a large deal of money tracking down Brian's old car. It was going to take some work but he was sure they could rebuild the thing. He reached into the mini fridge and pulled out three beers laying them out on the table. "A toast is in order I believe."

"My brother is taken and pure trouble...so no good partner in crime." He sponded. Her customer service skills were great. Angel was calm, polite, yet didn't let people give her shit. He liked it. She would make a good employee if Brian could afford her.
The roar of the pick up was hard to miss. So Brian made his way out back and looked at what Walter was bringing in this morning. Walter was looking more and more like a redneck each day with his hat, cigar and huge truck. "What' you got there, bro?" At first Brian didn't see what car was on the back nor did he recognise the banged up body until his friend pointed it out. The second second the ex-cop was running around the truck like a loonie, jumping up and down completely forgetting about his knee and screaming for joy. "No way, no freaking way, you rock, you are THE man, Walter! How did you get that???" In front of him were the remains of his silver Nissan Skyline GTR 34 with the blue stripes on the hood.

"Eh, couple miracles and I owe a lot of people a lot of money..." He shook his head and smiled, "I got parts and other stuff to pull up from my garage, I think I can foot the bill for a few extra spots in the garage for painting and customizations...or we can buy a new place closer to the mainway...bigger place more customers." Walter smiled and popped his brew, he nursed the first few sips before chugging the rest. "So whose the chica?" He asked smirking and shooting a glance to her.

Angel laughed both her hands covering her mouth as she leaned on the counter for support, as Brian about did a happy dance around what was left of his old car, "My gods Brian, your like a kid on Christmas morning," when her sides started aching from her laughing she stretched back and took a deep breath to slow the laughter as she looked the other male over with one eye open.
She could understand Brian's concerns over not wanting his brother to be her partner in crime, that and if he was taken she would be asking his bro anyway. There were girls out there more vicious then she was, which meant that it was too much effort on Angel's part to worry about. Angel smiled at the new guy a slight smirk at the end of her smile, of course she was better looking then him, she had some confidence in that even with all of her hair piled on her head in a pull through bun.
She walked around the counter and held her hand out to him, "Diablo. Brian was kind enough to gimme a week to show off my talents before him and his business partner decided to keep me around part time or not. I would assume your the actual guy who works here then?"

"Name's Joker." He took her hand and smiled before kissing her knuckles, "Supply, worker, and auctioneer apparently. Been gone for a few days what has he had you working on?" Walter eyed her up and down, she had a tough sultry look to her and he thought to himself, 'This aughta be fun.'

Diablo smirked softly as he kissed her knuckles, "It's nice to meet you Joker. Brian wanted to see my customer service skills before he let me do anything else. I finished the Civic and a break system for the Ford yesterday," she said conversationally seeing as Brian was still gushing over the car, "His old car? He was lamenting over it yesterday when I drove him home."
Angel liked him almost instantly, he had this secretively warm personality about him. They would get along probably fine if Brian wanted to keep her. It wasn't as if she couldn't bring him more customers, just spread a few rumors Diablo had space in a garage again and bingo, Brian would be set.

"Yeah...our last job kinda...damaged him and the car." He left it at that, "But on the bright side I think both can be repaired given enough time." Walter smiled and leaned against the wall spinning the can around in his hand. "What about it Bri, new tools and parte here or we close up for a week and have a gran reopening at a different store. I can get supplies and equipment moved in withen a few days."

Still giddy as a school girl Brian came back to the others with a large grin plastered on his face. "Thank you so much, man." He hugged Walter.
Then he looked at both of them. "Sorry, forgot. That's Angel, she's trying out for a week and..." He cut himself off. "What are you talking about?"

Angel snorted, "Geez Bri, way to blow my street cred out of the water. I think he's talking about helping you get a bigger shop, which wouldn't be a bad plan if you decide you wanna keep me around. I can help bring in business if you want, and I can help with the paperwork seeing as you need help in that department."
She licked her lips looking between the two men waiting for the end result.

"Are you two serious?" He wondered with sparkling eyes. "So you want to stick your heads together and blow up my garage." He put his hands together and then let them drift apart. "How big are we talking? And Walt you know what my bank account looks like, r..." he cut himself off remembering the money that was suddenly in there. Brian still hadn't decided whether he wanted to keep it. Everything inside of him screamed no. So he would put some money towards a bigger garage and then tell joker to retransfer the rest. "I mean...sounds like an idea."

"Serious as a ten g blown engine," Angel said grinning, "I have some equipment in a storage container you can throw in the new garage if you decide to go through with it. I have everything from my old garage, and I had a pretty good business going, which I'm sure my customers will be more then happy to give you business. Working out of my living room ain't to conducive to building anything but prototypes."
She really didn't know if she was overstepping her bounds, but she wanted to keep her job, and if she managed to pull Brian back into the shallow end with her then she would still have one. Given that Brian and his business partner had enough to buy a new place for the garage.

For a moment Brian thought about his options. "Right now I can barely keep this place going. My brother Jack dropped out a couple months ago and I've been on a three month sick leave which put us back at 0." His gaze wandered over to Walter, who seemed pretty serious about being Brian's saint. "I don't know. How ...I mean, are you really sure you can bring in enough customers? I'd hate to give up this little garage, which I can basically run by myself, and start up a big one, that doesn't go anywhere and then start over from scratch."

Angel looked at him very seriously, "I used to run Diablo de Sangre customs in San Fran, I left a lot of customers scrambling to find people who could tune my customs. Trust me when I say if I start spreading the word I'm working in a garage again, you aren't going to be left high an' dry. Grant it you may have to learn a thing or two about the custom work I did, but I tried to keep things as simple as possible so anyone could fix it if something went wrong."
She was a very serious business owner; she still had the separate e-mail account with all of her custom records on it, with all the information and some new customers she tried to refer to other custom builders since there wasn't any where to work.
Angel hoped that if Brian agreed she'd have somewhere to work and business would be booming for him. She absolutely didn't mind working under someone after having her own shop, between the garage and the modeling there wasn't much time to run another business anyway. Angel glanced Brian over and waited for Joker to either help her or help the smaller garage, he would probably be the swing vote after Brian's business partner.

"Do you mind me asking why you gave up your booming garage? " It usually wasn't his business but if it was coming to starting a new garage he needed to ask. "I know Rome's going to be all over it like flies on a monkey...the bigger..the better for him."

Angel snorted at the Wizard of Oz reference, "I do mind but I'll tell you anyway..." she glanced to the floor trying to think of the right wording to use with the two men here.
"... When I..." she paused sighing heavily closing her eyes, "When I was in San Fran I was seeing someone who I had met at a customs show in Seattle. Things were great for a while, but he... he uh... had some bad habits and I couldn't take it anymore," she licked her lips and opened her eyes, "So I left him... but he... he didn't leave me. He quickly jumped from the pleading ex into a stalker and the cops weren't doing anything because he wasn't hurting me. Cause you know someone stalking you has to hurt you before they become a 'real' stalker," Angel nearly snarled her voice laced with the Diablo persona she had made for street cred, "So I left, I left before something did happen to me."
Angel hadn't even put any mind to it this morning but the package that was under her car suddenly came to mind making her eyes close as a tremble slipped through her, "That's why I sold my garage. I had to get away from San Fran, ignoring the fact I didn't go far, it's just far enough away for me to be comfortable."
