Walter shot a 'Can I kill him?' Look to Brian before smiling widely. "Don't worry, if you make it showy enough people will pop in, plus if all else fails we can just have a wet T-Shirt contest with the girly here." He jerked his thumb towards Angel before laughing loudly. "I'm kidden. On a more serious note as long as we don't have much of a down time between switching out we should be able to pass by with a few more bucks to our name. Hell I can hire some help to refit the new garage while we work out of here, that way we can just pop the doors closed on here and transfer our projects over there in about..." He closed his eyes and began calculating how long it would take to get the current projects done then anything else started over there. "Two weeks..." He said as he opened them, "Also, you know that gift I gave you was legit right?" Walter reached forwards and tapped the computer monitor, "I was just part of my final pay check." He smirked.

Brian didn't want to talk about the 'gift' in front of Angel. That one time in prison had scared him enough to never want to go back there. He took a deep breath and a wide smile grew on his face. He looked from Angel to Walter and back. Then he dramatically nodded and stated. "Let's do it! Where do we start?"

"Well, let's see." Walter stood up and walked out the door and withen a few minutes was back through with a back pack, he pulled out a large folder and began sorting papers on the table, "Pretty much sign where there is an X." He had already been planning this and had prepared for Brian to say yes. "Pretty much I would have already bought it but they need paperwork that won't be...I mean they need the owner to sign, not a representative." Walter coughed to catch himself.

Brian's eyes met Walters. "Are you shitting me?" The big folder in front of him said no. Carefully he turned page after page. It was a contract to purchase a property. He turned his head sideways and looked at his friend out of the corner of his eye. "How long have you been brooding over this?"
Then he closed the folder and pulled Walter aside. "Why are you doing this? Is it going to be an investment for you but simply not in your name or what? I don't get all this charity?"

Angel shook her head and looked at the two men as they stepped aside to talk privately. She had a good feeling about the new garage as she ran her fingers lightly over her cell phone, debating wether to start letting her old crew know she was working in a garage again and might need some help bringing people in.
She rubbed her temples as she threw up a silent plea that the sudden come back wouldn't trigger her ex into finding her again. But that look Joker had sent to Brian let her knew, if she asked the redneck he would probably wouldn't mind putting his foot through her ex.

Joker smiled, "I owe you, what can I say man? I don't need the money you should see the zeroes in my account. My only concern is..." he nodded at Angel, "I don't mind killing again if it calls for it, but I can't just whoop his ass if he sees my face." Joker's smile faded as he patted his pockets, he didn't carry anything so much as a knife any more and it still felt weird. "What do you think bro...I'm in your debt up and down so you tell me what to do and I do it."

"Hang on a second." Brian stopped dead in his tracks and put his hand on Jokers shoulder." First of all, why are you in my debt? You safed my life." He knitted his brow because he had no clue why the man still felt he owed him. "And what are you talking about? Who do you need to kill, who are you talking about here?"

Angel glanced at the two men as Brian's voice lifted in confusion, it didn't take her a moment to piece together the look from before and the question, "Joker's talking about my ex. He's probably thinking the same thing I am. If Diablo comes back then there's a chance he will too. Sorry I didn't mean to over hear but..." she paused shaking her head, "Don't worry about me Joker, I've got a good aim and when I'm D I'm another kind of crazy... but I know when to ask when I get tossed in the deep end without warning."
Angel rubbed her red dragon tattoo subconsciously, the pair on her arms meaning strength and courage. She had a habit of rubbing them separately when she needed one or the other, when she was just plain Angel, the model trying to make ends meet. Ironically she rubbed the red dragon, Courage, more then she rubbed the black dragon, Strength, even when times were tough she didn't need the strength to make it she needed the courage to at least try.
It was the same here, she needed the courage to try and make things work out. When things started moving she would need the strength not to give up in the middle.

Joker smiled again, "Lass don't worry, I tend to think the darkest thoughts some times. Old habit, so we are in agreement then? Start a new place, if this clown shows I'll rough him up a bit and send him on his way. Brian knows I'm good at that." He smirked and pointed to the papers. "Now sign that shit boy!" He clapped Brian on the shoulder.

Angels words reminded Brian very much of what had happened to his family more than once. He automatically tensed up. Right now he was simply glad all the bad boys were gone from his life and he didn't feel the need to look over his shoulder.
He looked at Angel. "Shit, really? That sucks."
How would he break the next thing to her? "Angel, listen. I've not always owned a garage. I used to work for the LAPD and the FBI and had a couple of bad guys come after me and my family. It's a pretty dark chapter of my history. You asked about my knee...the whole story is that my kidnapper tried to squeeze some information out of me by shooting me in the knee. If this guy here hadn't come crashing in and saved me I'd be six feet under now." The memory made him shudder and he paused looking over at Joker. "I don't ever want to get into that kind of trouble again. I hope you understand that."
He saw the disappointment in her face but didn't want to put his life or family in jeopardy again.

"Hey now let's not jump to conclusions, we don't know if this guy will show and if he does." Joker had to think for a moment, "If he shows then I'll show him to the door and inform him that we have the right to refuse service...might have to explain it in braille but I think he'll get the point." He smiled widely and pulled both into a close hug, "I think this is gunna be the beginning to a very valuable friendship."

Angel felt her heart drop, she wanted to be apart of this awesome dynamic, but she understood, "It's fine Brian, I can understand," she smiled at him softly, "Family always comes first," she didn't mind, in a way it was a way of allowing her to find someplace else, some place to start up again. It wouldn't have been the same as the first time, there would just be her, no one else.
She was taken aback when the redneck pulled her into a hug with Brian, she could smell the cigar smoke clinging around him. Angel put a hand against his chest and pushed back slightly, "Look Joker, I'm not going to put trouble on you guys. It's sounds like you've been through enough as it is. When I take care of things I can always hit you guys up on the garage space, cause it doesn't seem like Brian wants to put himself anywhere near danger and I don't blame him. I..." Angel trailed off looking at the back of her hand as it rested on the chest she could feel was rippling in muscle, she knew not all scars were visible and she didn't want to reopen the ones Brian had just because she wanted to be apart of a garage again.

The disapointment was evident even though Angel hid it well. Brian instantly felt bad. The woman knew a lot about cars and would be a great asset plus she was easy to get along with. Her understanding made things worse for Brian. He felt guilty. For some reason he couldn't say no to a nice girl. "Hey, hang on. I didn't mean it like that. I mean, let me think about it for a night, okay?" Jokers enthusiastic hug made Brian smile but also a little uneasy. Things were rolling a little too fast for his taste. "How about you show me the place first?"

Angel blinked, the Diablo version of her nearly beaming, manipulation hadn't been the idea, but it somehow worked out like that.
"Are you sure Brian? I really don't want to put you guys in my troubles..." Angel could almost read into his panic but he could use a leap of faith.
Angel easily slipped out from under Joker's arm her messy bun finally slipping free from itself, sending still slightly damp waves of hip length dark brown hair cascading down her shoulders. She wrinkled her nose a moment still being able to smell the shampoo in the cold damp waves, hair was a hassle but she knew it would be worse if she ever cut it.

"Sure." he nodded glad that she was smiling a little now. He clapped Joker on the shoulder. "C'mon, let's take your biest and check out that other property." Brian was curious where that new place would be. Hopefully Walter knew what he was doing.

"I can stay here and look after things if you like," Angel said smiling slightly, "Just tell me what needs to get finished."
She was more then happy to help out when there was still a chance that she would have a garage job by the end of the week. That alone was enough to keep her hopeful and ready to show him everything she could do so she could keep here, well here as in a garage with these two guys.

The offer was nice and showed that she tried to proof herself. "Okay, sounds good." He looked around at the two cars still sitting there. "Okay, this one needs the transmission checked out and that one over there needs and oil and filter change plus and aircondition service. Which one do you prefer. You can find all the info in the folder." With a few fast steps he was out of the garage. In the backyard he stopped Joker and nodded towards the garage. "What do you think?"

Joker spun the keys around his finger, "Depends Mr. Playboy. Keep your mind on your wife and she could be a great ass," He pulled his eyes away from her as they walked, "set...anyways we have the money to pay her so what's the worst that can happen. Her past can't be nearly as destructive as mine." He nodded at the contruction going on in the distance. He walked past the truck to his car, smiling he popped both the suicide doors with the wireless entry. "I think my next project will be the bat mobile." He laughed and slid into the drivers seat. "Let's show you the place I think you'll be happy with it man. Great view." As soon as Brian was buckled in he slammed the gas down and jerked the wheel hard to the left fishtailing it out of the lot and perfectly between two cars before tearing it down the road. The car switched gears smoothly and was nearly soundless, he pulled up the see through screen he'd installed in the center consol and swept his fingers over the display changing the options. Eventually he double tapped the screen and a heavy techno beat started.
Withen the four minute song Joker had lead them through the older part of town and up past the bluffs that faced the ocean, pulling to a stop in front of a large closed white building he stopped the car and got out. "The previous owners cleared out about a month ago, asking price was too high and it's a bit out of the way. Figure with all this space we can start a towing service, custom store, and repairs. There is plenty of room for just about everything...and even a managers apartment in the back. I haven't moved back in with Ree, so I figured I'd just live at the shop. We could have me on call twenty four seven." He smiled and closed his door. "Let's go look."

"Good point." Brian agreed when Walter mentioned his own shady past. He had already let Walter in and what could be worst the the government enemies he had. "Yeah, maybe I shouldn't hang out with you so much, you'll get me killed or imprisoned one day, Mr. Nobody."
The Brina admired the car for a moment, slid in the passenger seat and looked back at the garage. "True, she has a great ass." He laughed. "That can only work to out advantage...cusomerwise. Two good hands and one fine ass!"

The ride in Walters car was exhilerating. The gadgets like the sound system mind blowing and the engine ourred like a pussy cat. Brian wished he could afford anything remotely as nice. "Holy hell, I love your car, did you customize it yourself?" Brian was impressed but even more impressed when they arrived at the location. From the building you could actually get a glimpse of the ocean and it was huge. His heart skipped a beat or two when he imagined all the possibibilities while they were touring the premises. His pale blue eyes started to sparkle like a school boys at Christmas. "No way, this is freaking insane." His pace got faster and faster while he hobbled around the area growing more excited by the minute. "You've already bought this? Reserved it? I don't care, where do I sign?"
