Angel heard their conversation before it trailed off, she snorted under one hand and looked at the two cars debating on which to start first, the oil change was cut and dry and she had more then enough experience with a transmission to have that one fixed by the time they got back at the longest. Finally having made a decision she opened the folder and sighed at the near illegible chicken scratch, and the thrown together contents.
She took a deep breath and grabbed the folder spreading the contents out on the table top to locate the two sheets of information she needed. Once she found them she went to work on the transmission. Angel worked quickly and efficiently, the transmission had a loose piece which was causing it to rattle, quickly tightening it she grabbed the keys and started the car up, listening to the engine, "Come on baby talk to me, you need anything else?" she purred softly as she made her way around the front of the car to the running motor.
She looked the engine block over with a critical eye before nodded and walking around turning the engine off once more. Angel knew the car would run fine without any more fine tuning, it wasn't in bad shape for being an older model, cars that looked like this meant that their owners put a lot of love into them. Just like she did.
Closing down the hood Angel clipped the keys to the paperwork on the car, gathering all the paperwork on that car together and found a spare paperclip before she set it next to the computer where the phone was. Humming absently she picked up the other set of information and glanced that one over, now for the long job.
As Angel began to work she found herself singing in german, one of the Rammenstein songs that her garage played late at night when the four of her old crew were working late to get ready for racewars. She was smiling softly with the memories, she had hated to give it up, but she pulled back fast when things had spun out of her careful control.

Joker smiled and rolled a coin between his fingers. "The paper's on your desk and their cash is waiting to be delivered. Pay enough cash and nobody asks questions." He smiled and walked over to the main doors. He slipped a key into the lock and popped it open, quickly he moved through the garage opening each door manually as he went, "And brother man, I know you're leg isn't that jacked up so stop milking it for shits sake!" He laughed as he launched the last door open revealing the equipment still in there as well as parts he had already moved in from his previous garage, "Already started packing things in, that's why I said a week. Also, have the security system from hell ready to be installed, so like I said. Hire the chica, nothing we can't handle and you can use the money especially since you're still worried about the suddenly appearing credit to your name...which by the way is clean man." Walter leaned against the garage door and looked out across the beach his mind falling back into memory.

"Shut up, I'm not milking nothing, man!" He laughed. The place was awesome and Brian could picture everything already. He wandered from corner to corner and contemplated what they could do with the garage. "Hm, so you've basically made up my mind for me, what can I do against that?" Knowing that not too long ago he wasn't able to support his family and had to turn over each penny he snuk up behind Walter enjoying the view. "I'm in."

"Sonofa!" Joker popped up for a second and fell over off the garage onto the dirt, "Don't do that!" He laughed and pushed himself up, he dusted himself off and snickered. "So let's get back before Diablo burns down your current jobs." He winked, "Also, you're driving back." deftly he pressed the auto start button on the keys.

He laughed at Walters display on the ground but when he handed him the car keys he shook his head. "Ah, no." He handed them back. "Last time I drove somebody elses car I wrecked it. So if you like it drive yourself." It was pretty sad to see that Brian O'Conner, Mr. No Car is Fast Enough; was handing back a key.

Joker looked him up and down, "You are driving or I'm tossing you off the cliff." He pointed at the ocean. "It's a hundred foot drop into the soup, how's your five and a half gainer?" His face was serious, "I trust you man, you just need to get yourself out of your hole. I've been there man, it's all in your head just get over it." He grabbed Brian's hand and shoved the keys in. "You need this man, and that car...It's not like I can't fix it as long as it isn't totaled, and fer fecks sake man," His accent came out. "It's a car, it can be made over and customized up and down again. Material item's can be made up, it's whats in here, and here that matter!" He tapped Brian on the head and over his heart. "Your family, your friends, we hate seeing you like this. I haven't talked to her but Mia has got to hate all this comming off you," He stepped back and exhasperatly motioned over his body, "You radiate anguish, you emit this...this constant pity me look!" He looked at the car and then back at Brian. "NOW GET YO ASS IN THE CAR!"

On one hand Joker talking business was straight forward and appreciated. On the other hand it bothered Brian that the guy was getting into his personal issues, even his attitude, which pissed him off slightly and when he started threatening him Brian replied. "Hey, I appreciate your concern and your honesty but it's really none of your business. So take your key and drive...please." Brian was still torn between actually appreciating that Joker offered his car and valued Brian's mental health so highly but it was also kind of offending to be called slack.

Joker sneered for a moment and shook his head, he pointed a finger at Brian as he walked. "You have got to cut this shit out man. It's a real downer, talk to Mia, talk to Rome. Talk to your brother, you just went through the hardest test of your life. Rise to it, look at me and tell me you don't appreciate your wife, your child, more then you ever have before. Tell me you went home and didn't question why you started working for the Feds?" He sat in the car, "I asked myself the same question every time I went home to my wife...I thought about dropping everything for her and starting a nice life..." He reached up and grabbed the door pulling it closed hard enough to rock the car.

"Been there, done that, way before this last experience." He followed him into the car and cleared his throat. "And cut what shit? What the fuck are you talking about?" He became louder. "I know what I love and I've quit the job with the Feds for a reason but don't.." He pointed his finger at Walters face. "..talk about Mia, like you know anything about her." Mia was a really sore topic. If Brian couldn't understand her, how could Walter. Damn it.

Angel cracked her neck finally cleaning her hands off, the second car finished. Bending over once her hands were clean she pulled her hair into one mass at the back of her head before she tied it off and sighed, the two men had been gone for almost an hour. Angel didn't know if this was a good thing or a bad thing, they could easily be deciding her fate and deciding on the garage, or getting laid.
Angel let the short laugh slip from her lips, yeah the last possibility wasn't very probable, neither men struck her as the permanently needy kind. Walking silently across the garage she gathered the paperwork of the second car and stapled it all together and set it next to the phone. She glanced at the messy stack on inventory slips and nodded, she was bored with nothing else to do and her temp boss could use a hand with organization.
Cracking her knuckles Angel opened Excel and then quickly opened her old business account before pulling up her own inventory excel sheets, "You had better love me when I'm done organizing you Brian..." she muttered using the word love loosely.
Her fingers tapped against the keys as she clicked the mouse and double checked the inventory lists sitting in the stack. Angel didn't know how long this would stay organized but it was better then the system he was using now.

"Fine you got me dead to rights there bro, but you need to fix your shit before you loose it." Walter put the car in gear and began drifting the bluff road down towards town, "It's because you're car is gone isn't it?" Walter said as they drew closer to the lot. He really hated seeing Brian still limping around it was an insult to him daily, he had failed to keep everyone safe and Brian was still in therapy. Every day he forced himself to remember that by showing up at the garage and each night he would wake up at the same time remembering the twin 7.62 rounds tearing into his shoulders. He slammed the brake as they got near the lot and turned the wheel slidding the car sideways through the garage and out the back door he saluted Diablo as they blew past.

"What's because my car's gone. Stop being so dramatic!" He watched Walter abuse the roads as if traffic rules and police didn't exist. "Why do you care?" He wondered before Walter slid across the yard and killed the engine.

Walter closed his eyes and leaned his head back against the seat, "Because I don't like ruining lives...not anyone in this country anyways..." He took a deep breath, "I fucked up and you got hurt...a lot of people got hurt and damn near killed. What if that hadn't been your knee he was aiming at, what if he had that gun in your stomache or arm? Do you realize how lucky you are? Those bone shards could have blown an artery open, you could have been shot up worse then my truck. And now you have that freaking limp and I just want to see you looking happy for once, I think everyone would be elated to see you back to your bouncy ass self." He said all this calmly still keeping his eyes shut and his hands resting on his legs. "And me...I walked away from that scott free with enough money to buy and sell the empire state building several times over. None of this shit is fair Brian, I just want everyone to have a normal life. Earn a decent living and get home safe to a nice house."

Oh goodness." Brian sighed and rubbed his hand over his face. "I think I need to straighten out your picture." He waited until Walter was fully paying attention. "Number one: You recall that I was a cop, right. Verone was after me with or without you. I would have been in trouble anyway. Numbver two: He did not kill me, he did not shoot me in the stomach, no arteries were ripped, I'm alive, okay? And just for your information: I'm determined to get rid of that limp. What the fuck, man? Since when have you been such a softy?"
he grabbed Walters neck and looked him in the eye. "Stop blaming yourself. I don't. In my book you saved my ass, okay? Start seeing it my way. And if that's the only reason you're giving me money and hang around here, I don't want it!" He slapped him on the forehead. "Idiot!"

Angel rolled her eyes at the computer screen as they drifted through the garage and out the back, "Amateurs..." she muttered as she continued plinking away on the keyboard in front of her.
She let her head tip back as she glanced up at the ceiling for a moment trying to recall a moment when there wasn't a time where she wasn't surrounded by showy males. Making a thinking face at the ceiling she shook her head, nope, there wasn't an instant when she was awake when she wasn't surrounded by showing guys.
Angel's head snapped back in place as she continued working on the excel sheet. Sadly that's when she noticed the calender pinned to the back wall finally. Sure it was the normal girls in sexy poses half naked with cars calender, but she remembered that shoot. Angel was there for that shoot, alarm shot through her, she was in that calender. Angel covered her eyes with a groan, of course it was that calender. What other kind would she have expected to see in a male dominated garage, puppies and kitties?
She stood slowly and placed both hands on the counter surrounding the monitor, she leaned forward ample chest brushing the machine as she glanced at the two men who were still talking in the monster truck. They seemed decently distracted she decided before she pulled back quickly and slipped around the counter with ease moving towards the calender. The only thing Angel didn't remember about that particular shoot was the month they had placed her on.
She flipped the calender up and glanced at the upside down images, and almost swore, her picture with a black and purple RX-8 was up for the next month. Angel let her eyes close as she dropped the calender back in place thinking 'it was bound to happen eventually with my track record.'

Joker was slapped back into reality, litterally. "Okay..I'll shut up man. I'm sorry." Silently he popped the door open and stepped out of the car. He slowly shut the door and looked at Brian's garage, as Brian stepped from his car. "I'm not doing any of this out of regret, I need a job and it supplies me with one. Can't very well go back to the one I was trained for can I?" He shook his head, "I need us in better conditions if we are going to make real money." He looked at the half burnt cigar in his chest pocket and tossed it into a drainage pipe. "Let's see how she did with the projects we were gone a few hours." He sowly walked towards the garage in silence.

Brian was satisfied with the result. At least Joker didn't to the mercy trip on him. "Hey, you're not pouting now, are you?" He joked. "I like working with you. Trained or not, I guess that makes two of us. Maybe we'd be better off being rent-a-cops but damn me, if I go back to that kind of shit. Getting my hands smeared in grease is much better." He looked at the two cars and Angel at the computer when he stepped inside and his eyes had adjusted. "Hey, grease mama, howzit going?"
He came up behind her and put his arm around her shoulders. "Good news, I've decided that you're ex can't scare me away from you if you do a decent job, so let#s see it."

Angel was glad she had made it back to the computer before they noticed her slightly annoyed glances at the calender.
She lifted an eyebrow at Brian, "Grease mama? Really Brian, really?" Angel said shaking her head before continuing as she went back to finishing up the excel inventory list for his garage, "Glad my ex's are still deciding my fate," she said without bitterness, "Anyways, um let's see finished both jobs, you can check them over if you feel so inclined. I put all of their paperwork together," she stressed the word glancing at the blue eyed man, "so that all organized with their keys attached to the corresponding paperwork. So that was done about... an hour ago, so I took it upon myself, since you left me nothing else to do, to organize your inventory into an Excel sheet. As in your chick scratch notes that was sitting in that once extremely messy pile in now in the same excel set up as it was in my garage. That was you can be a semblance of organized if you decide to give me the boot, I swear the system in self explanatory. All you have to do is find the part on this side and type here," she said pointing at two columns over from the names, "How many you used. The next column shows you how many are left and the row will turn bright red when your out. That way when you need to order parts you look down this column and you can order exactly what you need."
Angel glanced at him hoping that he was following her still, "And because I am an awesome person, if you click to the next sheet there is a tracked record of everything you sold/ used before you reordered stuff. Then you can see what things you may need to buy more of because you used a lot of them," She said tipping her head up to look at him, "You get all that grease daddy," she asked her voice going childish as she looked at him innocently, she was good at teasing.

Joker stepped into the room a moment later, "Can you do me a favor and set up a miscilanious file as well so we can work on private jobs as well without it effecting overall income-expenses chart? Some times you got to work on under the table stuff too as we all know." His mind was going a mile a minute as he tried to regain any symblism of professionalism. Brian was right, his own brain was off the wall so he had no room to talk about how Brian was acting, he needed to get busy and fast.

Angel nodded, "Yep gimme a sec. Hoping that I'm staying long term I can split the thing into three or four sections, on for each of us and the other business partner. I mean I have a 2 year backlog of engine requests I haven't had anywhere to work on, so if you let we stay," her voice chipper as she straightened still under Brian's arm as she grinned widely at them, "We can be making money during the whole moving process, and good money too. My engines normally run around the 4 grand range."
She looked at Joker quizzically for a moment before shaking her head, "You still need more equipment assuming you are taking the new place? Cause I got a storage unit filled of my old garage you can use, I mean it's not like I can use it right now anyway."
