It was a complete mystery to Faye on how she actually made it out of her house….Jack’s house and over to Brian’s and managed to remain composed when every part of her being was threatening to break down, her heart…she was crushed, her hand shaking as she held onto the wheel, her lower lip trembling as she tried to hold onto her composure, she couldn’t loose it yet, if she did….
Heaving in a trembling breath she tried to see through the rain covered windshield…she didn’t even know when the sun had decided to go in and the heavens to open, but it was raining cats and dogs, and she could hardly see anything, despite her wipers moving back and fourth.
Her engine died outside Brian’s house and she just sat there, her hands clenching and unclenching around the wheel, her heart hammering beneath her chest. She hadn’t even bothered to grab a coat, was simple in the jeans and tee she had on when she had left Jack’s her bag was sat on the passenger seat, a few essentials, her mind hadn’t been fully working and she was sure she was missing vital things.
It took her a moment to get her body responding to her mind, and she realized she had been sat outside of Brians for nearly five minuets before she stepped into the rain. She became instantly soaked but she hardly felt it.
By the time she was at the front door and Brian answered it, she was soaked to the core, her hair mattered around her head, she was shivering and tears were streaming down her face. Her dark eyes locked with Brians. “Can I stop here tonight” She questioned hoarsely.

Brian shouldn't even be here. He had waited for Mia to go to work so they wouldn't meet. She hadn't called him and Brian wanted to give her and him the time they needed to calm down. So he chose a time when she was at the night shift to pick up a few clean shirts. The downside was that he also didn't get to see Tyler. It was heart wrenching but all Brian could hope for was that Mia saw how hard he was trying to do whatever she wanted from him.
When it knocked on the door Brian had no idea who it was so he pushed the curtain aside and spotted Fayes car on the other side of the road through the pouring rain. Quickly he opened up and saw her outside. Under the dim light of the outside lamp he could see that she was soaking wet. "Faye? What are you d..." The tears streaming down her face left red marks on her cheeks. Without hesitation Brian closed the distance between them and took her in his arms. It didn't matter that her trembling body soaked his long sleeve shirt as well. Whatever had happened had to be aweful. Brian shot a brief glance at the road behind her but there was nobody there, not even another car, so he pulled her inside and asked. "What happened, Faye? Why are you crying?"

His arms were tight, warm, exactly what she needed, yet it didn’t stop the ache in her chest. She had never thought that Jack would have hurt her, she had been waiting for it but never actually thought he would, never thought in a million years he would actually go through with it. Her hand lifted, bag dropping to the floor at her side, and small fingers curled into his shirt tightly.
She pulled away finally, his question causing her to frown, and fresh waves of pain to cross through her body, heaving in a breath she licked her lips, biting the inside of her lip she brushed a hand over her face realizing just how much of a wreck she must have looked, not that, at the moment she really cared. “Jack” She muttered, she couldn’t bring herself to finish the rest of the sentence, didn’t want to utter the words, the very thought of them left a bitter taste in her mouth.
Her body was trembling from the rain, water dripping down her face and into her eyes, droplets of water running over her lip, “I didn’t wanna go to Lee’s” She muttered softly.

Trying to comfort her Brian kept running his palm down her back and quietly said. "Hey, hey, easy. It's okay." When she simply stated Jack Brian stared past her. Again: Jack. How could he keep hurting her. Didn't he love her? Angrily he asked. "What has that little fucker done this time? I'll go and kick his ass right now!" Jack had always been a screw up but lately he was screwing up with the few people who actually cared for him. It seemed like the knock on the head had turned his brain sideways.

Faye swallowed, fresh tears returnign to her eyes, this was the exact reason she hadnt gone to her brother, she didnt want to hear the anger in his voice. Trembling slightly she lened into his comforting touch, it was exactly what she needed, wanted, craved...just comeing from a man she didnt want it from.
"He ended things" She muttered so softly she had difficulty hearing the words herself, her voice cracked and she clenched her jaw, trying to stop the fresh tears from falling, they were doing nothing but making her feel ill.

Brian hugged her tight again when her body started shaking again and the tears were soaking his shirt. He couldn't beleive what she said next. Jack had ended it. It made Brians gutts drop and he could only imagine how bad Faye felt. Stepping back slightly he looked in her face. "Oh Faye, I'm so sorry. I have no idea why he's such an idiot." His arms wrapped around her again. Her small frame fit right under his chin. "He has no idea what he's loosing."

Faye just stayed there, resting agaisnt his chest, neither of them had mvoed from the front door, and she had no intention of doign so, not yet, she was just loving the comforting feel Brian was offering her. When he pulled away she tried to compose herself.
"He said he couldnt keep seeing thefear and distust" Shaking her head she shrugged, she couldnt beleive she had gone home with the intent of making everything okay. Heaving in a breath she looked at Brian, dark eyes watering.
"He said we didnt belong together....that we never had" Biting the inside of her lip she scoffed, "How stupid could i have been"

At first Brian had to laughed slightly. "Sorry but isn't it weared that we both get the boot for not getting over something?" He became serious quickly. "Nah. You're not the one who's stupid." Not knowing what else to say he simply whispered. "Come here." and kissed her on top of her head. "He's lying. He knows you belong together. Maybe he just got hit a little too hard on his pretty head. I can go and knock some sense into him, if you want me to...tighten a few loose screws."

Faye glared at the man in front of her, did he hoestly think this was a laughing matter, she ahd been ready to face it, Jack hadnt. Licking her lips she looked over at him, with slightly furrowed brow. Once more he pulled her to him, kissing the top of her head and she let out a soft sigh.
"No" She muttered shaking her head, "Jack's madehis mind up" She muttered softly, heaving in a soft breath she looked at Brian..."Can i stip here tonght" She questioned softly.

"Er, I',m sure you could but I'm not staying here. I've been staying at the small apartment on top of the new garage for the past three days. Do you want to come there? there's a sofa and you can have my bed." He wiped at her tears.

Faye swallowed, her brows furrowed as she looked at him. How selfish could she be, she knew Mia and Brian were having troubles, but far enough for Mia to have kicked him out. Heaving in a breath she brushed a hand through her hair. "She hasnt lightened up" She questioned softly, her dark eyes showing conern for the man in front of her.
Shaking her head she let out a soft breath and slowly nodded her head, "Please" She whispered, she didnt want to be alone, and for some reason she really didnt want to be in the company of another woman going through similiar problems as her.

Brian nodded. "Of course, Faye. I'd like your company." He took her hand in his. "After all you've been holding my hand the other day- embarassing- so now I can return the favour." He grabbed the bag she had just dropped and put his own backback on his shoulders. "Let's go."

Faye smiled softy, her dark gaze flicking over towards him. "Oh it wasnt that bad" She muttered, already she was feeling ligther, but she knew when she was left alone it would hit her again. Heaving in a trembling breath she looked over towards her car.
"You thinki can leave her here" She stated, she really didnt wanna have to drive her car, not in the state she was in, and added with the rain it wasjust a bad idea.

At first Brian didn't think it was the best of ideas but he didn't want to hastle Faye to move her car when she could barely hold back her tears. "Ride with me." He walked her down the steps- this time with a less of a hobble than only a couple of days ago. Jogging over to the car he opened the door for her so she could hop in and didn't have to stand in the pouring rain, then loaded the trunk and got in. His hair stuck to his forehead. "Whoa, that's heavy rain." When she had buckled up he drove off. "Let's get out of here. I'll show you my new garage."

Brian kept his eyes on the wet road. The wipers of the old car were going as fast as they could. "Don't worry, as I said. I like your company and I like returning the favour." His hand rested on her arm. Briefly he looked over at her. She looked like a picture of mistery. It was sad, Brian wished he could cheer her up. "Should we go by Burger King or the Liquor Store?"

Faye smiled, it seemed that what happened three months ago had torn her and Jack apart, and maybe Brian and Mia but it had oddly brought her and Brian closer then they had ever been before. With a smile she turned her gaze over towards him, slowly nodding her head. “Both sound amazing” She stated softly, comfort food and hard liquor, it sounded like the perfect night, a perfect way to forget her misery.
With a breath she rested her head on her arm, patting his hand for a moment before turning her gaze back to the wet road. “Are you and Mia no closer to sorting things out” She questioned softly.

Oh no, Faye was changing topics to a very unpleasant one. A frown suddenly appeared on his face as he simply stated. "No." He pulled onto the main road. The cars were sitting in the first lane at minimum speed and only a few people were going a little faster in the second lane. "People here don't know how to drive in the rain. Get out of my lane!" he growled at a truck. "Mia prefers to grill me by not talking to me."

Faye bit her lip, she knew the topic change was a bad one and she felt guilty for asking it, reaching over sh pressed her hand agaisnt his leg, "You'll be fine" She whispered, but she no longer knew if they would, because her and Jack wernt, and she always thought they would.
Asoft laugh fell from her lips at his angry words, but it fell on her lips, her body curled into herself a sigh falling from her lips.

Brian sped up when he could finally get into the second lane. He was finally driving like usually even though the car was a lame nighmare compared to his Skyline. Swirfing around the other cars he rolled down the ramp when he saw a Wendys sign and rolled onto the parking lot sliding around the corner on the wet pavement and coming to perfect halt in front of the drive through speaker. "2 Big Papa Burgers, fries, coke and ...?"
