Brian's heart started beating that extra bit faster not only because she was rambling off the names of some of the hottest cars on the planet but also because she claimed she had painted one. "Seriously? Could you give me the details of the car you painted?" His fingers were practically twitching.

"Well unless you can protect my life I can't give much. One was a dark blue Ferrari Enzo, I painted it black. well I painted two of them, one was a dark blue painted black and another was a Red one that I painted an orange. I also painted a Bugatti Veyron, it was a silver metallic color and I painted it a baby blue. I'm waiting on a Pagani and a Koenigsegg CCX. Supposedly some owners here bought them but they're in another country right now. They want them painted when they get here. Is something wrong with them?" BayLeigh raised an eyebrow as she watched Brian. She wasn't sure if she should be telling him anything.

Now she really got him excited. Brian barely trusted his ears. He gently took her by the arm and stepped into the shadow of the large building behind them. Then he lowered his voice. "Listen. This information is crucial to me. My life depends on it. I really need to know everything you can tell me. Were these cars brought in by the same person? When exactly and can you let me meet the owners of the ones that are still coming in? Please, you're not in any danger...but I am."

"You don't know that. The owners never even gave me names nor would they tell me where they got them. I'm not supposed to tell anyone that I painted them. I do however have the cars marked, so yes, I can point out the ones I did when they are out. I don't know if they were bought by the same person, several different people brought the to me, so if they were then the drivers are working with the purchaser. Or they are owned by different people. I don't know when the other two are coming, I was told to have the paint colors asked for by Friday. So I'm guessing they'll be in over the weekend and with me to paint. I have the paints ordered, picking them up tomorrow. " BayLeigh crossed her arms, her thoughts drifted to the owners who had already approached her. She knew they were big, rich people here and she was told not to say anything about the cars. Ever since painting them she wondered if something was wrong with them. She frowned slightly as she watched Brian, she didn't even know yet if she could trust him and here she was telling him all sorts of things. She may work for Nissan here, and may have built a life, but she knew after five years her time was winding down, and at this moment she was pretty sure now that she told Brian all of this she was going to need to prepare to find somewhere else to call home, giving up her position at Nissan.

When she told him that she didn't know any names or adresses Brian's hopes sank. It also sounded a lot like they were brought in by the owners...then again why would they paint new cars and tell her to be quiet about it if nothing sounded suspicious to them. His only chance were the ones still coming in. "I'll pay you if you let me be there on Friday. I'll then follow the owner so they can't trace me back to you." That would probably involve some persuasion...forceful. He could see the suspicion and worry in her eyes. She probably needed a little more to trust him. "C'Mon." He sat down inside of her car and waited for her to get into the driver seat. "I'll tell you why this is so important when nobody can listen."
When the doors were closed he took a deep breath. "I think I need you so I'll tell you what this is all about. I used to be a police officer in charge of recovering stolen cars and preventing theft but during a big case things went south and the people stealing some incredibly expensive , rare cars...maybe the ones you painted, framed me. They made it look like I stole these cars and did some other bad stuff. My partner helped me escape so now our only chance to ever go back to the states is to proof that I'm innocent by finding those cars." When Brian was done he paused his blue eyes fixed on Bayleighs pretty features to figure out whether he had just made a huge mistake.

BayLeigh thought about what Brian was asking her as she got into her car, listening to him. She shook her head as she listened, "I knew you were Brian." She looked outside as she pieced together her thoughts to reply to him. She was kinda surprised at what she was hearing, she wouldn't admit that she knew the cars were stolen. Why else would someone want a car painted, a new one at that, when it arrived in the country? She was pretty good at piecing things together.
She started to speak again as she looked at him, she felt like she recognized those blue eyes, probably from when she did live at home. "You can see them. I'll have them for a week or so, I can only paint one car at a time, and it's not easy to paint quick. Do not tell anyone you will be here, and you better not let them see you. " She looked on, wondering if she was making a mistake doing this. She really wanted to help them though, even if that meant she'd be again among the Japanese when they were cleared.

"What do you mean, you knew I was Brian." With a puzzled look he searched her face. Had they met somewhere before. Had somebody told her his real name...Cole maybe?
Then he added. "No, I need to be there when they bring in the cars so I can see them and follow them." He dug his index finger into the dashboard to stress that it had to be that and no other way.

"When we first met a few nights ago you told me your name was Colton when I mentioned your name. And Brian O'Conner is a cop, he grew up where I did in California. I know how to link things together. Thats not important though. As for the cars," She paused as she grabbed her computer from between the seats. She opened it and turned it on, loading up a private email of hers. "I'm not supposed to go to the docks, but I can if I need to. The boat docks at 9am Friday, they probably won't touch the cars until Saturday when they get them unloaded to bring to me. They have them in wood crates. "

With great interested Brian watched the screen come to life and read the information. "Oh my goodness, this could be it. You could be handing me my life back on a silver platter here." An outbreak of happiness suddenly overcame him and cause him to hug the woman next to him, who was risking her own business for him. "Thank you, I won't forget that." Then he whispered in here ear. "You're right. I'm Brian. Nice to meet you."

BayLeigh's eyes widened as Brian hugged her. She shook her head and set her laptop on the dash. "Just be careful up there. A lot of people come and go from the docks. But the cars will be there. I'm not sure if its the last or not, they usually don't tell me about any more until I get done with the ones they bring me. If they are what you're looking for I can help you and whoever you're with with anything to get them or anything."
