Mia smiled a bit.
Drake saw Mia and drove up in his Impala, Parking next to her attractive Blue Skyline he climbed out of the car and leaned against it. He smiled at Mia and nodded at the men. Then smiled down at the dog. "Howdy Partner, how's it Flyin?" He asked Mia in his southern drawl.
"Everything's going good Drake, What're you doing here? Boss give you a night off?" She asked.
"Nah Miss Mia, He told me teh look after Y'all, Didn' Know there'd be other folks here that you knew too" He said and smiled.
Mia chuckled and smiled back. "Cole, Brian, Meet Drake Delgado, He races part time for me and works more then full time for someone, I don't know who" She said

Obviously he had run into the guy before in LA since he asked him about. Brian nodded and offered him a hand. "Yep. Used to live there until 6 months ago." Then the realization hit him just as the blonde recognized him. With a nod he confimed that he was Brian O'Conner. It really wasn't a big surprise that a street racer from LA would recognise him. "You came second in Mesa Merin in the spring three years ago, didn't you? What's your name?"
The next second his eyes were on his car and started sparkling. "You should have smoked Mia." He grinned.
A second later the roar of an Impala caught his attention and when he turned his head he recognised the guy from Mia's block. He gave off an odd vibe and Brian didn't like the way he put his hand around Mia's hip nor the fact she was supposed to work for his boss, whoever that was. To this guy he didn't offer a hand but simply regarded him with a nod.

Cole took the offered hand. It was a pleasure for him to finally meet Brian, regardless of what he thought of him in the past. At Brian's mention of Mesa Merin, he remembered some of the old memories he had of that race, and when he raced the pro tour. "You mean the spring all-star race? Yes, unfortunatly finished second. My name's Cole Peyton, you may have heard it before." He smiled, "honestly I thought Mia would be easy, but she can drive." He nodded at Mia. "By the way, I know you said something about wanting to race professionally, sometime we'll talk about that later." He winked at her. Mia was impressive to him, and she had what sponsors are looking for, both in talent and looks.
He noticed a big and bulky guy step out of an impala and walk over to Mia, apparently they knew each other, so Cole eased a bit. He nodded at Drake as Mia introduced him. He thought it was quite odd that Mia didn't know where or who he worked for.

Drake leaned next to her, keeping his hands to himself, He didn't want people to think he was dating Miss Mia, Especially since she was older then him. Even though he didn't look younger, especially with the height differance, He smiled at the men, noting Brian's expression. he looked down at the ground shyly and glanced over at Mia a time or two. Mia rolled her eyes, She liked that Cole was being nice to the young man. But she had no Idea why Brian wasn't. She glanced from him back to Brian and Cole and smiled at the Offer. "So when should we come by?" She asked inviting Drake to come along. He helped her out with her car. And she helped him learn along the way. "And where would we come to?" She asked wanting to know where the Pro Race track was. Just so she wouldn't get Lost.

"We'll go to Sebring International Raceway. It's a 4 mile road course thats known to be one of the most challenging in the world." Cole looked over both Mia and Drake. "I'll show both of you how pro's drive. Then after that, I believe there's an SCCA regional event there next weekend. It'll make you a better racer on the streets too." Cole was excited to have the opportunity to raise up a couple of the drivers into the big leagues, maybe it would even open a door for him to race professionally once again. He looked over to Brain. "You could come to, I'm sure someone like you would definitely enjoy it."

"Yeah, that's right." Brian pointed at him shaking his head. "Peyton. Wow, pleased to meet you." Without hesitation he challenged him. "You picked the wrong person to give you a run for your money. She's good but you should race me." It would be so much fun to race a pro on an open street.
Needless to say he wasn't so pleased to meet the boy from Alabama or whereever he was from. If Mia had blown him off to be with a guy, who was barely starting to grow facial hair he'd be seriously pissed. After all she was a grown woman. He couldn't blame her for being into the guy. He was buff, good looking and charming-at least on the surface and according to Brian he was just the type to watch out for.
Stepping a little closer to her he lowered his voice. "Can I talk to you for a second, Mia? Alone?"

Drake smiled. He liked what this guy was saying. They'd get to run a course and learn how to drive better. He looked over at Mia who was also smiling. "Can we bring our own cars or do they have to be one of the ones already there, And who's working on the Cars? I don't want anyone I don't know messing with my Skyline" Mia said. Drake nodded. "Or any of my cars" He said agreeing with Mia on that one. He watched Cole and Brian for a reaction, he didn't like Brian, he could tell he was a cop at some point in his life and he didn't know if he still was one or not. He pet Shadow on the head as she sat next to them.
"I'll be right back, No starting anything Drake" She said and followed Brian. "Yes? What do you want to talk about?" She asked curiously.

Turning his back towards the other two guys Brian tried to block out their conversation. For a moment he wondered how to approach the subject and decided , like usual, to simply say what was on his mind. "Mia, I know you're a big girl and all but that guy, Drake, he's trouble. Trust me. Who's his boss?" He gently touched her arm. "I know you're going to get mad at me but I still care about you. Don't go with him alone...and I don't mean bring your dog!"

"I'm Meeting his boss in a few Days, Whether I go or not, I'm trying to help him get out of touble Bri. That's all and if it means I have to do the same work he is I will." Mia said to him quietly. "He's like the baby brother I never had Brian and I really want to help him. and I know you aren't going to like it but I trust him. He's not going to hurt me" She said and watched for his reaction, He should know all about helping people. After all he'd tried to help out her family. "I'm not bringing you because they've probbably heard you were in town and looked you up, But how about I bring Cole." She asked looking up at him.

Cole responded. "We can run our cars when we practice. For the race though, we're going to need something a little more substantial. In fact, they won't even let us race these cars, they're not track legal." Cole pulled out a picture of the car he used to race and passed it around. "Thats the car I used to race, it's a Porsche 997 GT3 cup race car. We're gonna need something like that to actually compete." He was proud of that picture, it was what defined him back in the day. He smiled at Brian's challenge. "Once I change cams in my car, we'll race. Should be a good one." He was very much looking foward to it. (That took place before Brian pulled Mia aside to talk)

Brian didn't like her determination one bit but knowing the stubborn Torettos he was well aware that any other word was simply a waste of time. "Hm, they looked me up meaning that I'm a cop...so you know this is illegal...wonderful, Mia. Just wonderful." He huffed but nodded. "Take Cole. You've just met the guy. Is he really going to help you?" Then another thought crossed his mind. "Take my girlfriend. They won't get suspicious of her but she can protect you." Without waiting for her approval he put his arm around her shoulder and returned to the others. "I wish I could come to that mysterious job. Make a few extra bucks, do a little driving." To Cole he added. "Don't forget that offer. I'll hold you to it. I'd even give the track a try." Meeting an actual pro was an opportunity Brian had been waiting for a long time. His home was the street but he wouldn't mind giving the legal version a try. "I'll invite your girl even though I know she really doesn't like me. and I know you don't trust Drake, Because you don't know him and all But trust that I know what I'm doing, I'm not going unarmed." Mia said smiling at Brian. She walked over to her car and leaned against it again and put her hands in her pockets and nudged Drake with her shoulder. "He's from Texas by the way, I know you were having trouble placing his accent and all" Mia said to Brian with a chuckle.
Drake nodded at Cole as he continued to listen to him talk about the racetrack that they were going to and the rules that went with it. He glanced at Mia and smiled at her nudge to his side then pulled her into a playful headlock and gave her nouggies. laughing.
Mia laughed as Drake gave her nouggies. playfully struggling against him even though he wasn't hurting her.

Cole looked questionly over at Brian then at Mia. After they disbanded and Mia walked back over to them, he asked Mia. "What'd you and Brian discuss?" Then realizing it really wasn't any of his business, he corrected himself. "Nevermind." It looked like whatever they were discussing was serious, he couldn't help but be intrigued.

"I gotta go," Mia said slipping out of Drake's grip. "I'll see you in the fast lane" She said winking to Cole flirtatiously, He'd caught her attention. She climbed into her car and heard Drake climb into his beside her then they drove away. Mia drove down the street casting glances to her rearview mirror She saw Drake's car behind her and continued driving. She phoned Brian's cell and heard it ring and waited for him to answer.

For some reason Brian didn't approve of Mia flirting with Cole either. At least not right in front of his eyes. Did she do that on purpose to tease him? Silently he wonder how much he had really moved on. He was happy with Mira but seeing his ex flirt with others wasn't enjoyable, especially because she was more than just any ex. Brian had pictured his future with her. She apparently didn't.
Frowning he stepped next to Cole. "I don't like that guy. I hope she knows what she's getting herself into." Then he clapped the guy on the shoulder. "Gotta go. Give me a call." Quickly he pulled a pen out of his pocket and scribbled his number on a dollar bill.
Then he turned on his heel, climbed in his Skyline and sped off. The night was done and he was about to head home when his phone rang. "Yeah?"

To him, Drake was the type of guy who could come off as a great person but then turn around and stab you in the back, so he could understand Brian's concern. However, Drake hadn't given Cole too much of a reason to be concerned, so he figured that until he did, he'd be friendly towards him. He did think it was suspicious that Mia was hanging around this guy, especially since it didn't appear they were dating, but there must've been some good reason.
Did it appear that Mia was really flirting with him? That'd seem to be totally crazy. He wasn't even 20 yet and he thought she appeared to be in her late 20's. Either way, he decided he might as well enjoy it while it lasted. Cole checked the number Brian had given him on a dollar bill. "Weird way to give someone your number." He thought, shoving the dollar in his pocket.
Since everyone appeared to either be leaving or getting ready too, Cole thought he should probably leave too. The problem was, he still had that RX-8 he had won of some fool earlier, and he couldn't drive too cars at once. Since he didn't really want the RX-8, he figured he try to make some easy cash off of it. He looked around to see if the guy he took the car off of was still around. Indeed he was, trying to hitch a ride home with someone else. He thought it may be a little risky to approach this guy, but eh, what the heck. He walked over to him and got straight to the point. "You can have your toy car back for 20 grand." The former owner looked at him like he was nuts. "You have a lot of balls to come over here kid." He sneered. "So is that a no?" Cole asked, already annoyed. The guy looked like he was about to start cussing him out when a tall, toned, well dressed man with slicked back hair strolled over and said. "I'll take the car off your hands, with a race." Cole stood for a minute and looked this dude over, he appeared to be the typical mafia wannabe who has a big bark but no bite. "What are the conditions?" Cole asked, he hardly ever turns down a challenge. "Circuit race, just like you had a little while ago with miss daisy. I win, and I take both your cars. You win, you get my car." He said in a almost threatening tone. Cole laughed at the guys seriousness. "And what makes your car so special that it's worth both of mine?" He could hardly believe this guys ignorance, until he pointed to a matte black Nissan GT-R. "That car is what I'll be racing with." He said with a sly smile. Now he had Cole's attention. "Alright then, lets race." Cole was concerned he was making a huge mistake, but you only live once. And if he did beat this guy, that GT-R would make a nice addition. So much for trying to sell his RX-8 though.
As Cole drove to the starting line in his black evo, he remembered his camshaft issue that had to be resolved. It's not that they were malfunctioning, just that the range of power they were providing were not suiting the evo's rpm level best. At least not for circuit racing. He would need to drive like he hadn't ever before if he was going to beat that GT-R. Hopefully his competitor, like most everyone else, couldn't drive for a damn, but he couldn't rely on that. He did something right to get a car like that. The start girl walked across the two imports and motioned for each driver to signal they were ready. Both cars revved there engines to the redline as she raised her arms high. Cole was determined to get a perfect launch this time, unlike when he raced Mia. He revved his car to 8000 rpm and started coming off the clutch in anticipation. The girl dropped her arms and so did Cole's left foot, this time without bogging the car and shooting off the line even with the GT-R. Even with a perfect launch, it's hard to outdo the GT-R's computer controlled launch system. Cole hit 2nd, then 3rd gear as they approached the first corner. He dived in to the corner in an attempt to outbreak the GT-R, even though the car was trying to spin out, he put the power back down and pointed his car at the apex, managing to pull a car length on the GT-R. Through the next several corners, Cole remained in the lead. He could tell the GT-R was getting antsy, and as the pulled on to the next straight, the GT-R managed to pull up to the evo's fender. Then, without warning the GT-R turned directly into the evo's right rear fender. Cole quickly put the car in neutral to avoid stalling and guided the car to a 360 degree spin. Still going at a pretty decent speed, he grabbed 2nd gear and went after in pursuit of the GT-R. "SON OF A BITCH!" Cole exclaimed. "F**ker cant drive so he cheats. I see how it is." Cole was pissed beyond belief, as most would be in his situation. He always drove better when he was angry, and he was more than determined to beat this idiot now. There weren't that many corner's left where he could maximize his car's cornering ability, so he'd have to make each one count. Steadily but surely he was gaining ground on his opponent. Approaching the last corner, he was right on the GT-R's bumper. The GT-R aggressively blocked his attempt to pass under braking. Realizing he was about to lose the race, Cole had one option left, he rammed the back of the GT-R hard, sending the GT-R into a tailspin. The GT-R's driver, unable to control the slide, overcorrected and slammed head on into a guardrail. "Ah crap, that's not gonna go over well." Cole told himself as he crossed the finish line, taking the win. He didn't mean for the violent accident to happen, but he felt like that guy got what he deserved. There was no way in hell he was gonna lose his car to a cheater. He rolled his evo into a surprisingly cheering crowd and climbed out, accepting his third winners card. Thinking he'd better get out of there before the GT-R owner made his way back, he started to get back into his car, but he was too late. He felt strong arms spin him around and then a solid fist to the face that knocked him to the ground. He caught a glimpse of his attacker, sure enough, the GT-R owner. Before he could say anything or get back up he was kicked in the face, which just about knocked him out. He was then picked up and pinned on the hood of his own car. Still in a daze from the previous hit, Cole hardly understood what the guy was saying. "If I see your face around here again, it'll become part of the asphalt." In a menacing tone The mafia wannabe then dropped the GT-R's keys on Cole's chest. "Have fun taking that wreckage home."
Cole started to regain his composure as a few people were looking him over, probably making sure he wasn't in a coma. This is one good reason to start hitting the gym, he thought. He got up and grabbed the keys to the GT-R, assuring everybody he was fine, even though there was blood all over his face and his nose was obviously broken. He had no idea what to do with the destroyed GT-R. Then he remembered, he had Brian O'Conner's number, who he knew was a Nissan fan. Maybe he'd know what we could do with it. He pulled out the dollar Brian wrote his number on and called it, getting a busy signal he left a message. "Hey Brian, this is Cole Peyton. I've got a wrecked Nissan R35 GT-R here, long story, not pretty. Anyways, it's not drivable so I was wondering if you knew of a guy with a tow truck or something. Maybe we could salvage it, give me a call back at this number."

Just when the call with Mia ended another message popped up. Almost annoyed Brian listened to it but the magical letters G T R chased every bit of sour feelings away and brought a smile on his face. "Sure do." He muttered to himself before he called Cole back. "Don't tell me you won another car tonight. I know a garage owner with a tow truck. She can pick it up tomorrow. Where are you? I wanna see the thing."
The illegal U-turn was just the first traffic offense on his way back to where the races had been happening tonight. Most people were already gone only a few hung around since the cops didn't break up the show tonight.
Sure enough Brian found Cole near a matte black 'piece of art', that was now shortened by about two feet. "Awe, what did you do?" Brian jump out rubbing holding his hands over his eyes. Then he noticed Cole's beaten up face and raised his brows. "Did you drive the GT-R? Are you okay?"
He couldn't take his eyes off the car for long though. If it wasn't in such bad state he would love to own that kind of car, put a little work into it and take it to the streets.

Cole knew Brian liked GTR's but he didn't know he liked them so much that he'd be back to the scene that quick. He figured he'd better clarify. "Like I said, not a pretty story. Basically the previous owner of this car challenged me to race for slips. I accepted, and I was ahead of him until he decided to spin me out. I managed to catch him again, but through the last corner he completely blocked any path I had to pass. I was not about to lose to that guy, so I decided to return the favor to him. He couldn't hold on to the car, and the result was this. He decided to beat me up after." Cole chuckled even though it really wasn't funny. "So the good news is, we got a GT-R. The bad news, it looks like that." Cole pointed to the front end of the car. "And for the record, I'm offended that you think I was driving this." He winked at Brian.

"Man, reckless...I would have done the same thing." He smirked at Cole. "I like how you say 'we' got a GT-R cause I sure like this baby. If the cassis isn't completely bent to hell my friend can fix her up. No worries, bro." Like a cat he sneaked around the 'mouse' and inspected what he could see without popping the hood. Then Brian turned around and clapped Cole on the shoulder before he pulled out his phone. "Hey Diablo, yeah, don'tz hate me, I know it's 3 am but I need your tow truck...can I come by?...Thanks, babe, go back to sleep." To Cole he stated. "Let's get this baby off the street before the cops put it in their yard." Motioning for his bleeding nose he added. "Don't tilt your head back. Pinch it closed. Stops the bleeding."
