Walter slid his across the pinstripe suit smoothing it out and also ensuring the pistol remained hidden under his left armpit. In the reflection of the tinted window he admired how the outfit draped on him. His eyes adverted to the large gourmet restaurant that laid before him. The Irishman had left a personalized note for Jack the previous day giving him a time and place to meet to discuss the deal with his employer. Jack owed several cars and was running late on his most recent delivery, his boss didn't like that and it was his job to make sure the message was clear, "No more delays."Â
With a cocksure stride Walter moved through the front door and into the faculty not even bothering to stop at the waiting desk, he knew the table he already has set and the owners knee better then to stop him whether he had been seen by them before or just the hair on their necks scared stiff by his cold demeanor it didn't matter to him. He took his seat and waited patiently for the waiters and even mor so for O'Conner. Â Â

Jack looked from the piece of paper in his hand up to the restaurant in front of him. Yeah, this was the right place all right and fancy as hell. Not even the best dress shirt and decent pants he owned could disguise the fact he didn't belong here. It made him all the more aware of his situation and the people he was playing with, or were playing with him, but at least here he didn't have to worry about getting the barrel of a gun shoved down his throat.. not yet anyway.
With a snort at his own thoughts, he walked in to the building and stopped at the waiting desk. He told the woman behind it his last name, and it didn't take long before he was lead towards the designated table. It was too late to turn back and run now, and so the only small reassurance he kept in the back of his mind, was that he had showed Brian the note before hand. He had told his brother he could do whatever he wanted with it, just as long as he didn't do anything stupid. It weren't his intentions to get his ass maimed just so Brian could get a lead on the top gun behind this all.
He shoved his hands in his pockets and cleared his throat to get the attention of the man sitting at the table. The man didn't look anything like he had expected, but than again.. no one ever really did. Either way, it was showtime...

"Mr. O'conner. Please sit." Walter motioned to the seat in front of him. The case file for Jack had been dead on, gambling, petty theft, even attempted and successful grand theft auto right out of high school. He looked every bit the part that he had imagined. "You are behind on your deliveries this week, are you aware of that?" Walter snapped his finger causing several waiters to nervously look his way before one shuffled slowly towards the table. He ordered water and a small pasta dish before turning to Jack. "Please, order what ever. It's on me." He waited patiently with his hands clasped together on the table in front of him.

Jack sat down on the appointed seat and drummed his fingers on the table top. He was somewhat nervous and it showed. He knew he was behind on his deliveries and knew it was exactly what this bullshit was about. "I'm aware." He mumbled and watched the man snap his fingers. It was none to his surprise the guy was catered to his every whim without saying much when a waiter came over to the table.
"Just a straight Vodka for me." He ordered soon after. He was going to need it. He turned his eyes back on the man and slouched back in his chair. Shit.. this was like being in a fucking old school gangster movie. The scene this guy had picked and the theatrics he was putting up, it was dead on. Of course.. he kept that thought to himself. If there was one moment in his life where he'd rather not open his big mouth, it was now. And thus he waited, albeit not patiently, for the man to continue.

Jack had notified him about a 'meeting'. That alone had Brian alert because Jack obviously thought that they might rough him up a little to remind him to keep his schedule. So Brian didn't want to let him down and drove to the upscale restaurant 15 minutes after Jack. He was dressed in nice pants and a shirt since he had been to the place once before and knew that there was a dress code.
At the bar he ordered a coke and let his gaze wander over to the restaurant area for a moment. Jack and a guy with his back to him were seated on a table in the far corner. The waiter were basically on standby for the guy which meant he was some big shot around here. Brian turned and nursed his coke for a while shooting the occasional look in the mirror just to make sure they were still there but not attract any attention.

"So, you know that you're late. What are you planning on doing about it for me?" Walter sipped on his water slowly and leaned forwards, "I also know that you alerted someone about our meeting, I'm going to go on a limb and guess your brother...Brian is it? Federal Agent, on and off?" He raised his eyebrow studied the man's reaction. "I honestly don't care which car on the list you bring in but I'd bring one in soon. I, like you. work for them so let's try to be on a simular page." He pulled out a peice of paper and slid it across the table. "Location of a 1975 GTO, seaform green with black pinstripes on the angles. Only one with the specs made, I was cheated out of it in a race two years ago. Find it and bring it back to me by sun up tomorrow and I will buy you time. One night for two weeks, fair trade?"

His eyes briefly flickered towards Brian sitting by the bar at the other side of the place before they turned back on the man in front of him. He guessed there was no use denying the fact he had indeed told his brother. He shrugged and downed the Vodka all at once without giving any reaction to the bitter taste and burn in his throat.
He snorted as he set the glass back down. "And which page is that?" He asked before he pulled the piece of paper closer to him and looked over the writing. He let a smile slide over his lips reading the location and nodded his head slowly before he looked back up at the man. "Tell me. What's in this for you? Why buy time for me with this car in particular, when I'm sure you are capable enough in getting it yourself?" He leaned back in his chair once more as he studied the man much in the same way as he was being studied. Sure, they say curiosity killed the cat, but he wasn't the type of guy to care about such futilities. "Don't get me wrong. The trade sounds fair enough. But the short notice..? Makes a little more difficult, doesn't it? And please, don't give me that bullshit line of 'that's your problem', because I'm already aware of that."

"I want to know you can operate under stress, this will test that and it will show something for your efforts to your employer. A sense of heart if you would." He smiled as the plate was put in front of him, delicately he took the fork and began to twirl it in the pasta. He brought it to his mouth. "It's a simple enough job, the garage it's in is lightly secured, few camera's electronic lock on the garage itself. Fair enough for you? You get me my car, I get you a two week window to get all your cars or affairs in order. Your employer hired me and their customers will probably hire someone close or worse then me, and no one wants that." He set his fork down.

Jack snorted at the man's words. A sense of heart. Right. He didn't think these people even knew what a heart was, let alone had one. But the job sounded easy enough, and the deal good enough not to pass up. He could use the two extra weeks.
He drummed his fingers on the table top a bit as he made some quick calculations in his head before he nodded. "Alright. You'll have your car by sun up, and I'll have my two extra weeks." He pushed his empty glass forward a bit as he snorted again, this time at the semi hidden threat. Yeah, yeah, he got the freakin' message already..
"I take it we're done here?" He asked rhetorically, and thus he didn't wait for an answer as he stood up. "Enjoy the rest of your meal." He shoved the piece of paper in his pocket before he walked towards the exit of the restaurant.

Walter watched Jack go and continued to eat in silence, wondering if Brian would approach him or not and if Faye had told Jqck of their reunion yet. He had already started the dominos falling and this was just another stack tipping. Unfortunately given his current position he too was just another tab about to fall.
