Ever since they had left port, Cole was standing at the end of the ship, making sure no police boats were coming. It didn't really hit him that he was going to a foreign country until they actually left. Who knows how long it would be before he'd be back home? Even though he really had no family to go back to, the thought of leaving the U.S was a little intimidating. He wasn't really sure what they were going to do when they got to Tokyo, but he heard the racing scene was intense down there, so checking it out was number 1 on his list of things to do. He figured he should go check on Brian, so he starting walking back over to the storage entrance.

The dark waves under a cloudy night sky perfectly mirror his mood. Brian was absorbed in staring at them when he noticed some movement out of the corner of his eye and tensed up. Turning his head to see who it was he spotted Coles lanky figure. It took him by surprise to see him aboard the ship. "Cole?"

Seeing Brian awake was both surprising and a relief. "Hey Brian, how are you feeling?" He leaned against the deck railing. "You chose a great time to blackout, we had quite the adventure with the police." He chuckled

How was he feeling. "Pretty shaky on my legs." Brian admitted leaving out all the other bad stuff including the oncoming seasickness. Instead he narrowed his eyes and thought about Coles words. "Damn, I missed the best part...so you helped me escape?" A smile crossed his lips. "I guess thank you isn't enough."

Cole shook his head. "Mira did most of the work, I was just a backup." Cole was silent for a few seconds. "Running from the whole damn police department sure gives you a rush, I'm not sure your blood-depleted body could have handled it." He laughed.

"I'm tougher than I look." Brian joked and drew the blanket closer around himself while the cold wind ruffled his hair. "The whole police department? And you two lost them all? I would have paid to see that." He suddenly turned around and scanned hte waves and the night sky for any signs of cops. "Where's your cell?"

Mira, who had been talking and paying the captain, finally walked down the stairs and onto the deck. She hated boats almost as much as she hated air planes. She leaned over the railing and watched the water. Well their lives sure were taking an interesting turn of events. They were now on their way to Tokyo and she was eight months away from being a mom. She kept staring down at the water feeling like she was gonna throw up, though she wasn't sure if it was because she was morning sickness or sea sickness.

Footsteps on metal could be heard over the sound of the engine, which made Brian turn his attention back to the boat. The night was so dark and the only light came from a bit further up where he couldn't see. The main deck had to be that way. Suddenly alarm bells went off. Why was only Cole around. Where was Mira? "Where's Mira? Is she on this ship?" He wondered while started walking towards the metal stairs that led up. With his right arm clutched to his body and the blanket wrapped around him it was quite hard to actually walk up.

Subconsciously he started looking around them to see if Mira was around. "I know she's somewhere on the boat, I just don't know where, probably on the downstairs deck or something." He shrugged.

Mira heard Cole and Brian but didn't move from her spot on the railing. "I'm over here...." She rested her head against the cool steel. So far things were going pretty smoothly. Now all that lay ahead was getting to Tokyo and getting the cars back. At least they had a few days on the ship to rest and especially for Brain, to heal.

It was good to hear that she was on board and Brian didn't want to wait any longer to see her. Briefly he told Cole to get his phone. "Your and any other phone you can find." Deep down he was still a cop and knew how to play the game. Then he turned to climb the last few steps. Not too far away he spotted the familiar blonde with her back towards him leaning over the reiling. From his position he commented. "It looks a little cold for a bath."

Mira didn't lift her head when she heard him. "To bad I really wanted to go for a swim." She stood up and walked over to him. "Next time there is a plan to live the country by anything other then a car...leave me out off it." She smiled a little and hugged him. Even though she was pretty miserable right now, having him right there with her made it all worth it. "How are you feeling?" She looked up at him and gave him a light kiss on the lips.

"Super." He lied flat out. His shoulder was throbbing, he was still dizzy, cold and a little sea sick. His knees were so wobbly he could actually be the one going for an unintentional swim. Yet it wasn't a complete lie because as soon as he looked into her face and felt her silk like lips on his he was great. All the worried from before, all the pain and fear and dispaired seemed to dissapear. Wrapping her in his arm he held Mira as tight as he could and made the kiss last as long as it possibly could. "How are you? Both of you?" Gently he ran his hand over her barely existent belly. Then he said what he had wanted to say for a while...from the bottom of his heart. "I love you!"

"Well besides for the morning sickness... were great." A blush spread a crossed her face. "I love you too." She leaned up and kissed him again. hearing those words made the last few days of hell worth it. Hopefully now everything would go their way and they would get to raise their baby together. "So we are on the way to Tokyo, which is were that f*ckface took the cars." She rested her head against his good shoulder. "So you have a few days to rest and heal cause I know you aren't feeling to good right now."

"Hey don't talk like that around the baby." He tried to joke but the thought of Walter made him frown nevertheless. "Tokio, huh? How do you know?" Mira was good as cop. Much better than Brian would give her credit for.
Shivering he admitted. "You're right. But first we have to make sure they can't find us...where's your phone?" Before she could answer he pulled her into a tight embrace again. "Mira...I don't know how to say this..." He looked down into her pretty face with the gorgeous eyes. "Thank you so much...you left everything for me. You saved my life."

"At the bottom of the ocean." Mira laughed a little. His next words made her feel so guilty. She turned her head and looked away. "Don't thank me... Its my fault a lot of this happened...If I hadn't of shot you..." She closed her eyes. It was kinda true she was the one that shot him and the one that didn't go with him right away that night. She blamed herself for what had happen even though it was Walter's fault.

"What?" Gently he lifted her chin. "Don't you do that, Mira. Don't blame yourself. It's not your fault. Walter set us up, okay? Look at me?" He waited until she actually looked him in the eyes. "I'm not blaming you, Mira. Don't do that to yourself. You got me out, that's all that matters. We're going to be together and we'll raise our kid, okay?" His expression told her that he meant every word he said. Brian tried to lighten the mood by choking. "Who needs a shoulder anyway...they keep getting in the way all the time..." Another kiss on the forehead followed, then he urged her to go inside. "Hey, you wouldn't happen to have a hoodie somewhere. I caught myself a little infection while I was trying to buy you some time. I'm freezing." Once again his gaze fell onto her slender stomach. Was there the hint of a bump?

"O-Okay." Mira reached up and brushed away a single tear. She set her hand on her stomach with her shirt covering it was almost impossible to tell she was pregnant but when she took it off or someone had their hand there they could tell there was a small bump. She took his hand. "Yeah I have a bag of your clothes in the room you Cole and I are sharing. I also have some pain meds for you." She lead him down the stairs to a small room with a pull out couch and an air mattress. In the corner of the room was a guitar case along with Mira's gun case and two duffel bags and in the opposite corner was another bag. "Its not much but its all we got for now." She walked over and pulled a sweatshirt out of one of the two bags and handed it to him.

"Thank you." Brian dropped the fleece blanket and looked around. She had brought her guitar. "It's better than a prison cell." With caution he pulled the sweater over his head. There were so many things that needed to be taken care of. "Did you get rid of all cell phones, gave nobody our real name? You'll have to change your appearance, too...." The list went on and on but Brian was to weak to actually keep going and the small berth suddenly looked really good so he sat down on it still shaking a little from exhaustion and cold. "Come here." Carefully he laid down and waited for Mira to join him before he pulled the blanket over them. "I just want to feel you close." He allowed his eyes to close in the dimly lit room and his hand slipped to her midsection.

Cole walked down to the dark cargo bay to get his cell out of his car. All the days thoughts came back to him. He could hardly believe what he had just done, and why he had just done what he did. For all he knew, maybe the accusations against Brian were true...no...that wasn't it true, there's no way that could be true. Nonetheless the thoughts haunted him. Now he was mixed in with what sounded to be a personal issue between Brian and Mira and this Walter guy. As he grabbed his phone, he realized that it could probably be tracked. He shut it off and took the battery out, as if it made any difference, and put it in his pocket. When he got back to the deck, he saw nobody there. He saw down on the deck and continued his train of thought. He needed a game plan for when he got to Tokyo, separate from Brian and Mira. He needed to make sure his own ground was firm before he got involved in whatever his two friends were up to.
