BayLeigh sighed as she looked outside the back door, Her G35 and R34 were sitting in the garage of her friends house. She struggled to get the R34 into the U.S., she pretty much had to take some things off and ship them to the house to keep them with the car. After the struggle she now was back on U.S. soil, something she didn't think would actually happen.
When she made the plans to come back she only had one friend who she could get a hold of. She couldn't even get a hold of her parents, who as far as she knew still resided in their house in Barstow. She shook her head as she walked back through the house, going straight to her room she was using. She needed to figure something out to get out. She felt out of place here, maybe because it had been so long since she was here. She kinda missed home, as well as her job. Auto shows were coming up soon, so her job let her come back to bide time until she had to start going to them to introduce future cars, concept cars, and other ideas from Nissan. Since she was American they though she'd do great here.
At the moment she didn't feel so great being here. She grabbed her keys from the desk and walked outside to her G35. She got in it, cranking it up. Once it was warmed up she pulled out of the garage, closing the door behind her and heading out on to the road, driving around to explore a place that was strange to her, but at the same time it was familiar.

After some driving Bayleigh pulled into the parking lot of a Jack in the box. As she got out and walked to the door she saw a red Mitsubishi Lancer. Even though it was just a base model it reminded her of Cole. She couldn't get out a Japan sooner and she wondered where he made it to. She pulled out her phone as she placed her order at the counter. She started a new text, "Hey Cole, its Bayleigh. I'm in California, I thought i'd let you know in case you were here." She hit the send button and smiled as she paid for her order. She slide the phone into her pocked and grabbed her cup, walking over to the machine and filling it with coca cola. By time she was done her food was ready. She grabbed the tray and walked over to a table, sitting down and eating while she contemplated what to do next.

It was the day after Cole got out of his "dinner" with the mob. Up to this point in the day he basically sat at Jack's in silence contemplating what to do if things got ugly, how he should conduct himself, and tried to learn more about the mob inner workings on the internet. His phone suddenly vibrated and his first thought was Stephano wanted him. He pulled it out and studied the message. 'What are the odds.' He thought to himself and punched back a response. "Hey good to hear from you, I'm in cali as well, which city are you in?"

BayLeigh smiled as she got back in her car. Her phone vibrated and Cole's picture showed on the screen. Once in her car she read his text then hit he reply button. "Just outside of L.A. I'm staying with a friend. Its so nice to hear from you! Where are you? If you can tell me." She sent the text then pulled out of the parking lot, heading into town. She jammed along to the music, kinda missing the Japanese bands on the radio mixed with the other bands.

Cole found himself starring at the phone waiting for the response. He never expected to hear from Bayleigh ever since they left Japan, to say this was a surprise was an understatement. "I'm west-side L.A on the far outskirts. I heard there's a small drift meet tonight just outside of LAX...wanna go?"

BayLeigh stopped at a gas station with all fuels and started to fill up. She heard her phone and left the handle in the gas tank. She reached in the car and grabbed the phone, she smiled as she saw Cole's text. She read it and looked at the time. After hitting the reply button she typed, "I'll be there! I need to get the G out again."
After sending it she set the phone down and went back to fueling the car. Once done she got in, driving around remembering the area she once knew.

"See you there!" Cole typed in his phone and walked out to check over his S15 to make sure it was good for the night and bolt on the drift tires.
Later that afternoon, Cole grabbed the keys to the Silvia and wrote a note to Brian since he couldn't find him. He went out the door, hopped in the car, started that wonderful RB26, and drove off. Once he finally got to the event, he found a spot somewhat close to the entry and waited for Bayleigh, leaning of the hood of the S15 and snacking on some doritos while watching drivers and their cars try to outperform each other on the circuit.

BayLeigh cleaned up her G35 some at her friends house while she waited for them to get home. Once they got there she told them where she was going, just incase they needed her and she headed out.
Once there she rolled in slowly, looking around. She was a bit nervous, she loved the scene in Japan, but it had been years since she's been around one with mainly American's there. She tried not to rev her car too much, she didn't want to grab a whole lot of attention just yet. As she was looking around she spotted Cole with a bag of Doritos. She smiled and pulled up next to his car, glad that there was still a spot there.

During his wait, Cole got a few interested onlookers since he had the only S15 there, and S15's were extremely rare in the U.S. Some asked if it was an S14 conversion, and some asked if it was legal, to which he replied no for both. Finally, Bayleigh showed up and neatly backed the G35 parallel to the Silvia. He put down the doritos and slowly walked over to between the two cars. "Long time no see." He smiled.

BayLeigh turned off the car and smiled as she heard Cole's voice. She slid out of the car and looked at him, "Its great to see you again!" She smiled as she looked around checking out the scene. "Have you been here long?" She looked at him.

Manako left the house and jumped into his R34 and headed down to the Airport. When he got there the place was packed. As he looked for a spot to park he was getting a little annoyed, until he found one. He pulled in and parked his car. As he got out of his car he began to look around to see if he knew anyone. He then shrugged his shoulders and sat on the hood of his cars and watched racers drift. The one thing he could tell is that most of the drivers here were good but not great. As he watched, he didn't notice that someone was looking at his car. He turned his head and made eye contact with them. There were about three of them and they were standing near an RX-7 FD3S. Then they began walking toward Manako. When 'the three' walked up to Manako one of them who looked like the leader asked "Hey do you know this is no ordinary street race right?"
Manako then replied in sarcastic tone "Really I thought this was Amateur night at the club." Then the guy looked at him with anger and asked "What's your name, Asshole?" Manako looked at him and said "Manako Sora. what's yours?" then the guy replied "My name is John. Why you here Manako especially racing with a R34 which can't drift." Then Manako looked at him with intensity and said "Has your mother ever told you never judge a book by its cover?" Then John and his buddies started laughing and answered "What you think you can Win with a 4 Wheel Drive. Thats Priceless you must be dumber than you look." "Alright how about 2 grand and you shut your mouth?" Manako asked with a smirk. John looked at Manako and answered "Okay 2 grand it is." Manako then got into his car and drove to the start line where he handed the race director the money. He watched as the same RX-7 pulled up.
Then a Grid girl stands between the two cars and raises both hands. the race director then yells "In 5... 4... 3... 2... 1... GO!" and the girl drops her hands and the RX-7 drives off with Manako behind him. As they come to the first corner the RX-7 slows and begins to drift, Manako eases off the gas and takes the corner at full speed and drifting at the same time. Many of the Spectators see Manako coming at them begin to scatter. As Manako gets through the first corner he is closely behind the RX-7. After a few turns Manako is right on the RX-7's bumper. As they hit the final turn the RX-7 spins out and hits the wall. Manako drifted right past the RX-7 without hitting it. As he passed the finish line, crowds of people came over to congratulate him. The Race Director handed him his winnings.

"Same." Cole nodded. "I've been here a couple weeks, just catching my breathe from our Japan ordeal." He sighed. "What brings you to the U.S? Work?" Cole had to admit, Bayleigh had the best job ever. Being an engineer for Nissan and traveling around to all these countries because of it must've been awesome.
A loud sound of metal connecting with concrete tore Cole's attention away from Bayleigh and to the track. An RX-7 had just backed into the barrier and an R34 whisked by gracefully. It sort of looked like Manako's actually. "Guess drifters here aren't quite as talented as the ones in Japan." He looked at Bayleigh and laughed.

BayLeigh looked on at the race, seeing the RX-7 collide with the barrier. She shook her head, "They sure aren't. I'm here for work, its auto show season soon so I get a little break here till I have to hit some of them. Until then I'm working on a car at the local plant." Bayleigh wanted to race but she knew she shouldn't. She needed to be here first and get the feel of it again before doing anything.

As the crowd of people scatter Manako got back into his car and tries to find a parking spot again. As he is driving he noticed a Silvia (S15) and a spot next to it so he pulls up into the spot and parks it. He sits in his car for a bit before getting out. He opened the door to his car and stepped out.

BqyLeigh watched as the R34 parked next to Coles car. At that moment she wished she brought hers instead of the G. Especially since some familiar faces have looked her way. She decided the G was going to need a new paint job, as much as she loved her custom paint designs. She watched as the gentleman got out of the car. She waited for him to approach them or for Cole to say something.

Once the R34 slide into the slot next to him, Cole's suspicious were confirmed. Not surprising he was a drifter, being from Japan and all. "I met this guy a couple nights ago, he's from Japan. He's good, real good." He whispered over to Bayleigh.
"Back in the home court, Manako?" Cole chuckled a little.

"Oh hey Cole I didn't know you drove a Silvia?" Manako said looking at Cole and his Silvia. "Yeah you could say that. The guy I just raced was more of an amateur compared to racers in Japan. If he raced any one else from Japan besides me and had the same cocky attitude and was beaten. He would've been laughed out of the country." Manako added. Then he noticed a beautiful blonde and asked "Oh hello didn't see you there pardon my rudeness. my name is Manako Sora, and your name is?"

Bayleigh watched Manako closely as he spoke to Cole. She leaned against her car looking around, her attention grabbed when she was spoken to. "I'm Bayleigh," she smiled as she spoke. "You have a nice car there," she nodded towards the R34. She wasn't sure yet how to take to this guy. She reached in her car for a chocolate bar, the wrapper completely in Japanese. She had to bring some of what she called home with her, she couldn't very well call the U.S. her home.

"Thanks, Bayleigh" Manako replied, "We've been through a lot from drift in Japan to being sabotaged by a punk here in the U.S." he smiled looking at his car. Then Manako noticed Bayleigh pulling out a chocolate bar which had Japanese words on the wrapper. "I see you have a Meiji Chocolate bar. You have good taste. I see the flavor is Marble Chocolate, my favorite." Then Manako entered his car and brought out a medium sized packing box that had Japanese writing on it. "My dad sent me two large boxes full of these medium boxes full of Meiji Chocolate with all their flavors." he said smiling. he then asked "You want this box it hasn't been opened?"

Bayleigh smiled, "I haven't seen it before, or I don't remember it. I have one at the place I'm staying," she smiled as she took a bit of her chocolate, her eyes widened a bit as he showed her a box, "I'd love it if you don't mind. This is my last one till my co-worker sends me another package. Have to bring home with me," she smiled. She looked around glad people were leaving them alone. They had some on lookers but that's about it.
