The day had arrived. A day that some of them were looking forward to and some were dreading or both. The day of the prison break. the only one who didn't know anything about it was the prisoner: Dom.
A day after the trial Brian had used his computer at the FBI to search for the date when Dom would be transfered from the prison in LA to Lompoc since it seemed their best chance at springing Dom. With his heart beating in his neck he had to sit there all day long listening to Chase and Trinh flirting while all he wanted to do was dash home and tell the others.
Preparations had been made. Lots of plotting and gathering material in the days before:
"So how are we going to do this? If we don't want to end up on the run or in the joint we'd better take good care that nobody recognises us or can pull our prints of that bus. Shave your heads if you have to so you leave no hair that they can use to identify you." With a glance at Mia he added. "Not you, please!"

Chase looked up from his desk, noticing Brian from across the room with a frown. His partner had been fidgety all day long, more so than he normally was. And that was saying something, because honestly he thought Brian twitched like he was on crack normally.
"Excuse me for a second, would ya, sweetheart?" He grinned beautifully at Trinh, watching her blush like he had planned. Only a few more days and he'd be having a lot more fun with Trinh than a few conversations in the office. The thought kept him grinning the entire walk across the floor to Brian.
"Brian. Brian." Chase rolled his eyes to the sky when his partner didn't answer him and just stared ahead like he was in a trance. "Brian!" He finally got Brian's attention and frowned. "What are you doing?"

Brian closed the application when his partner approached him and quickly opened his report that he was working on. He stretched his arms above his head trying to look bored. "Nothing, just typing this boring report." He shifted his gaze to Chase. "And you? Trying to seduce our poor colleague?"

"Always." Chase answered truthfully, noticing his partner's quick movements. He knew better than to call him on anything, but something wasn't right about mister goody-two shoes today.
"I thought you would shove the paperwork off on me. Espically, since you know..." He smirked, remembering Stasiak's comments in the coffee room earlier that morning. The man was an ass- even moreso than Chase, but Chase wouldn't admit that outloud. He dropped his voice and leaned in closer to his partner. "...your girl's brother didn't get out like planned."

Brian kept his eyes on the report and wondered who was dishing out information like this. "Yeah. I don't know where you heard that but our jurisdiction sucks." He shrugged. "Unfortunately there's nothing I can do about it." With a frown he looked at Chase. "Shouldn't you mind your own business?" With that he got up to get himself a coffee. Chase made him nervous as hell and he had a hard time not to let it show. He'd be very glad when this day was over. So as soon as his shift was over he grabbed his suitjacket and headed out of the office.

Letty was lazing around Brian's house. Waiting for him to come back from work, anxious and worried. Today they'll finally discuss how to get Dom out of this crappy situation, and not in a legal way. She tried to sit on the cound and calm down infront of the TV but her eyes weren't even processing what she saw, the show wasn't interesting and all she could see on the screen were Dom's agonized face.
Letty let out a sigh of desperation, feeling restless and fighting the urge to dial Brian's cell and ask him what was taking so long. When she heard his car pulling infront of the house she got up and walked to the hall, her patience was expiring.

Out back, Jack was slumped down in one of the old chairs throwing a ball at Buster while he dangled a half empty beer bottle in his free hand. He was bored out of his mind with Letty pacing nervously around the living room over something. He couldn't stand it which was why he was sitting outside in the first place. Asking her what was wrong had only given him a blank stare followed by a 'nothing' so he figured he'd just leave her to it. He wasn't very good at problem solving anyway. Causing them was more up his ally.
He groaned when the dog seemed to have enough of their game and laid down in the grass. "Are you crapping out on me too, boy?" He shook his head when the dog gave him a look as if to say 'Yeah, so what?'. "Mans best friend my ass." He mumbled before he gulped down the last of the beer.
Inside the house he could hear Letty move towards the hall in a fast pace when Brian's car pulled up. Since when was she so eager to see him come home? Something was up, but Jack had no clue as to what. It made him curious, but not yet curious enough to make him get of off his lazy ass and check it out.

Brian hurried into the house taking two steps at a time. The whole day he'd been waiting to tell Letty that Dom would be transfered in three days. So when he spotted her in the hall way he held out his hand and showed her three fingers. "Three days...let's get to work!" Quickly he shot a glance past her eager face to see where Jack was. He wanted to keep his brother out of trouble for once.

Vince pulled up outside Brian's place, adreneline pumping through his veins. Brian had called, telling him they were working on something to help Dom, and that if he was in he should come 'round.
He'd tried to live straight. It was what he wanted. But this was Dom, and he wasn't going to let him rot. The key was not to get caught in the first place.
But still...it was a huge risk, and he felt the familiar thrill...the same feeling he'd had when he'd been on the hood of those trucks.
Stopping at the front door, he took a deep breath before pounding on the door.

The loud knocking on the door behind him almost made Brian jump. He was too wired and already had a bad conscience so he cursed and turned around. He showed Letty to be quiet and stepped to the door. Through the door spy he could see a familiar face. He opened the door and more or less pulled Vince inside. "Good. Just in time." Then he showed V his three fingers as well. "We don't have a lot of time. Mia's at work. She'll join us later. Let's do some planning!"

Letty thought she had heard a familiar voice speaking out loudly and gruffly as Brian reached for the door. She knew that voice too well.
"Hey, buddy!" Letty said and stormed into the hallway, jumping on Vince and wrapping her thin legs around his waist. Everything about him was so familiar, like home. It was almost as if everything went back to normal. The only missing piece was Dom. She inhaled his familiar man perfume and scratched his scalp with a huge smile on her face.
Landing on her feet, she stood erect and looked up to meet his good eyes. "Missed ya." She said, trying not to sound as emotional as she really was.

Since the dog wasn't much for entertainment anymore, Jack had to find something else to entertain himself with and judging by the commotion in the hall, that was the place to be right now. He leaned against the door post of the kitchen while he cleared his throat to make his presence known. "Planning for what?" He'd only heard that part and glanced between the three tensed faces with raised eyebrows. Apparently it wasn't just Letty who acted weird today. They all did. The only question now was why. "What's going on here? Is this a private party I wasn't invited to?"

Brian had opened the door once more and let Dani in but got interrupted by Jack's question. He turned around to see him leaning against the doorframe. "Shit." He muttered underneath his breath to himself. He thought Jack had gone job scouting but aparently he was wrong. "In fact, yes!" He replied and looked him straight in the face. Brian needed Jack to stay out of this. The kid was a trouble magnet as it was anyway. He simply couldn't be part of springing Dom. Brian had promised himself to make sure Jack would get his life in line. "This has nothing to do with you. Sorry, bro."

Dani walked into the door closing the door behind her as she listened to Brian talk to Jack about how he was a magnet and didn't want him to help out. Dani whispered to Brian "Ill take care of Jack and makes sure he stays out of it."
She had this feeling for Jack but didn't really want to show it to much. Then she muttered to Brian "Besides you need the pro's to take are of Dom. And well I aint a pro." Dani took off her jacket and placed it on the hook. When she was about to walk toward Jack buster came up to her. She started to pet him.

If it was one thing Jack hated, it was being left out of things like he was just some snot nosed kid and a simple 'sorry no can't do' was not going to cut it. "Since when do I give a shit on whether it has something to do with me or not?" If they didn't want him involved in whatever they were planning, they should've gone elsewhere. Now they were stuck with him... Unless ofcourse it was something that didn't hold his interest what so ever. Then he'd bail faster than the speed of light like he usually did in those situations.
A smile crept up his face at Dani's suggestion. The thoughts and images flashing in his head were more than enough to distract him, but no. He had to focus on the other thing first. He shook his head to get rid of his happy thoughts and gave Brian a firm look. "What is so important that I can't know about it huh?" He shook his head again, but this time more out of anger. "I'm not a fucking kid anymore."

Vince nodded at Brian, happy to get down to business straight off. He took two steps inside and suddenly had his hands full of woman. He automatically shifted to support her weight, wrapping his arms around her tightly.
"Hey Letty," he replied, more than happy to see her alive and well. She'd been like a sister to him for so many years, it had felt like his guts had been ripped out when he heard she was dead.
He set her down, but pulled her into a tight hug. "Better not scare us like that again, girl or I'll kick your ass," he growled before letting her go and ruffling her hair.
He looked over as his sister followed him in. He wasn't happy that she was there, but he knew he couldn't have stopped her without starting World War Three, and he figured at least if he was there, he could keep her ass out of trouble.
"Alright," he said, clapping his hands together. "What've we got so far?"

Brian showed Vince to wait a minute and then turned to Jack. With all the people showing up at his place at once it was impossible to keep their meeting secret. "You sure behave like one sometimes!" He scowled. "I don"t want you to get caught up in more trouble than you already are!" He said in a fatherly manner referring to the gang involvement. "Plus this is involves work and we all know how much you love to work." There had to be a way to keep Jack away. Work would do the trick Brian was sure.

Dani could see that Vince wasn't happy that she was there. She went up to him to hug him. "It was either fallow you here, or go out with April and get wasted. You know what happened last time I went out to a bar with her." She said looking up at him. "Ill be good I promise. But Its up to Brian if I can stay, if not ill go find something to do." she grinned.
Dani wanted to help out with breaking out Dom, he was like a brother to her.

Jack snorted at the small outburst and not necessarily because he was amused by it. He didn't have the best track record when it came to working but if something was worth it he'd do it no questions asked. Even if it meant getting into trouble. "Are you finished? You shouldn't get so worked up, bro. Makes you age faster." He didn't even know why he was still wasting his breath. It was clear this was going nowhere and Brian wouldn't spill the beans no matter what he'd say. So instead of launching another protest he simply shrugged and said with a hint of sarcasm. "Well, if there is work involved I might aswell bail right?"
