It took Brian a moment to put two and two together but then he felt anger rising deep inside. "You had the babies all this time and didn't say a word? Do you have any idea of what I went through since they've gone missing? I thought they might be dead! I thought I'd never see them again! That I would never get to know my own kids!" Brian got louder and louder his anger threatening to spill out in the form of spit, bloodshot eyes and angry screaming. "Why you?" He practically spat at her? "Are you working with this prick?" It was hard to comprehend that the woman he once loved was now working with the enemy. He couldn't really wrap his mind around the fact that it was Mia, who was standing in front of him.

"I wasn´t allowed to say a word, Brian..." her chest rise and fall rapidly with each breath. She took two steps forward but his voice just started to rise each second.
"I am sorry...I-" she look up at him when he mention if he was working for Sam. "I am not working for Sam, damn it!" she was starting to get frustrated, and her own voice started to match his.
"I didn´t know why Sam decided to gave me your kids, but even if I wanted to call you... he said not to do it or they were going to pay, same as you and Jack. You have to believe me!" her emotions were all over the place and it didn´t help he was screaming at her, he was going to loose it any minute.

Brian could sense that Mia was getting angry, too. Yet his own anger was getting to a point where it was hard to controll it. "You could have given me some sort of sign so I'm not going crazy! Damnit, Mia! You saw me!" He hammer his flat hand agains the car she was standing in front of not minding the fact that Dom was there. The loud bang of his hand against the metal made them jump and the babies cry. So he bent down to pick them up and with shaking voice muttered to them. "I'm sorry." As gently as he could with his unsteady hand he caressed his sons cheek and bent down to kiss them both and caress swallowing his anger against Mia and remembering that it was all about them. With tears that suddenly shot in his eyes he whispered. "I'm so sorry. Shhh, I love you."

She jumped when the quick movement of his hands hit the car. "I couldn´t... not even Dom knew where I was... I couldn´t place your children in more danger... I hope you understand..." the babies woke up from their sleep, she was going to bend down to help him but stopped herself.
She´d understand if he didn´t want her near his children again. She looked at Dom for a second and her gaze drop to the ground. Ashamed of what she´d done. All that matter now was what was in front of her and that was seeing those twins reunited with their father, but at what cost?

Dom was about as shocked as Brian was as Mia unraveled her story. It was quite something that Sam would even think to hand the children to Mia, one so closely affiliated with his target. That told Dom that Sam (and whoever else) must've believed that they had instilled deep fear in the O'Conner's and even Mia and he. That falsehood they believed in was in the process of leading them to their demise.
Dom believed Mia all the way, how could he not. She did a damn good job of concealing this for god knows how long, that would explain why she was out of the house so much though. Though he was close to reprimanding his sister himself. He took a second to think as Brian took it upon himself to let his feelings be known. She did the absolute best thing for them all. The twins were safe in her care as long as Sam trusted she wouldn't let the cat out of the bag, that was the most important thing by far. Was their any other course of action she could've taken that wouldn't have put all their lives on the line? No, and for that, he was a pretty proud brother. What she did was, in fact, brave.
"She did all of us a favor Brian, this was the best thing that could've happened for the twins, and we're all still breathing, cool it." Dom said in his casual but stern tone, wrapping a reassuring arm around his sister's shoulders.

Dom's words made sense and helped him see things from a different perspective. Even if Mia did this on her free will she would never hurt his children and he started to realize that she probably had no other choice. Why Sam would choose her, he had no clue. Did he know about her family relation to Stephano?
Taking a few long breaths and the soothing of his babies made him calm down somewhat but when Dom mentioned 'we're all still breathing' it dawned on him that this might not be true for exactly everyone. Suddenly his focus was back on his brother as he stood and mumbled. "Jack. Sam's still got him."
For a moment he contemplated whether he really trusted Mia enough to hand her his kids again but he simply didn't have another choice. Brian was aware that everybody hated Jack at this point but that didn't mean he could simply leave him to his fate. "I gotta help him. Mia, please take them and hide." Briefly their eyes met when he held the baby seats out to her again, even though the little ones were still complaining. Then he reached for the car keys in her hand and dashed to her car. "Call Mira and the cops." He yelled on his way.
Moments later long dark lines of rubber were the only thing left on the spot where it had been parked.

“Thanks,” she whispered to Dom as she lean on him feeling not so bad after all, and it was all confirm when she felt Dom´s arm wrapped around her shoulder. She looked at Brian who seemed to process Dom´s words.
But, he also had a point. Jack still was with Sam… he hesitated for a moment taking a quick look at his children. His voice brought her gaze toward his and she nodded taking the babies with her. She didn´t stop him when he took the key of her car out of her hands.
He left yelling something for her to do. Calling the cops was going to be the easy part, calling Mira..not so easy… but she was the mother of those twins. She turned to Dom. “Call Mira… I´ll call the cops,” pulling out her cell phone dialing the 911 emergency number looking for a place to hide taking the babies with her.

Rina's orange Aston Martin vanquest pulled into the docks. When her dad wanted something done, she was the one called. Now she had to clean up a mess.
The brunette stepped out of her car, brown eyes scaning for Sam. Her hand rested on her glock pistol and a kevlar vest hid under her jacket. She was ready for just about anything.

At Sam's words, Jack's eyes moved to the clock in the dashboard of the van. According to it, he still had some time left to retrieve his fingers before they'd be a lost cause, meaning the son of a bitch did have a point since dead men told no tales.
"Then maybe I won't kill you just yet," Jack snarled, and in that instant, he removed the gun's muzzle from Sam's temple to press it harshly against Sam's upper leg. From pressed up this close, Sam's flesh would act as a sort of silencer, which meant there would be no gun report attracting any unwanted attention. Possible screaming would be a different story, of course, but that all depended on this so-called tough guy's pain threshold, didn't it? Jack could care less though, because at this point, all he wanted was to hear Sam scream.
"I'm going to make you tell me one way or another, Sam. And if not..."
Jack was about to pull the trigger when sounds of a roaring engine and squealing tires tore through the silence of the night. A sleek, black Mercedes was heading their way at high speed, it's headlights' bright glare reflecting in the rear-view mirror.
One of Stephano's men, no doubt. Fuck...
"Drive," Jack barked. "Now! or we're both dead." His gun was still aimed on Sam and ready to do its master's bidding, only wavering slightly when he climbed from the backseat into the passengers' seat. If he'd had to, he'd take the pot shot and take the wheel himself; his fingers be damned. After all, who needed fingers when they were fucking dead?! Not him. That was for damn sure.

Dom watched with a sigh as Brian sped off in their car. He would've have normally approved Brian throwing himself into what was probably going to be a standoff, but this was his brother at stake, and regardless of children in his care, Dom knew he'd do the same.
His attention now was on Mia and the twins, they needed to be as far away from whatever was about to happen as possible. He nodded as he pulled his phone at and dug around for Mira's contact, not even really sure how he ever got her number. "Mira, it's Dominic Toretto. Your children are in our hands. They're safe, you need to come here, pick them up, and get them the hell out of here." Dom continued as he gave the location of the docks and the hung up.
With that taken care of, he looked for a place to lay back a little until Mira arrived. He wanted to follow after Brian and see to it himself that everything would work out in their favor, but he couldn't leave Mia, not now at least. Seeing an open crate a dozen yards away or so, he nodded in the direction of it and glances towards his sister. "Lets jump in there for a bit, I wouldn't bet that the kids are out of the woods yet."

She entered the crate with Dom right behind her and hoped Mira would hurry and pick up her children, this was dangerous, you could feel it... she place the baby seats on the floor rocking them gently, one of them was asleep within seconds, it was the baby girl who started to fuss.
"Okey-dokey," she whispered picking up the wailing girl gently in her arms, she was probably hungry but she didn´t have any bottle with her to feed the baby. Mia continued her rocking back and forth making the baby relax and stop her cries.
She smiled at the little girl and sighed looking at Dom. "I hope Mira doesn´t take too long," she started to make small conversation noticing how her brother wanted to run after Brian and help him and Jack with Sam but instead stayed with her.

At least Jack was sensible enough to change his aim to a less lethal part of Sams body, which made the hired killer relax somewhat. When the barrell of the gun was suddenly on his thigh instead the man knew he was in for it. After what he had done to Jack and his family he surely wouldn't hesitate to inflict some pain.
Yet Sam knew that the lights of the car, that was approaching at rapid speed belonged to no other than Rina, who was most likely on his site.
Risking being shot in the leg, however, wasn't an option he fancied so he turned the key in the ignition and made the engine roar to life. Carefull he stepped on the gas. He didn't plan to really loose Rina because that would be a stupid thing to do now, wouldn't it. Gritting his teeth he made the old van speed along the docks towards the area where Mia was most likely exchanging the babies with Brian now. Oh what he would give to see the guys face!
Sure enough he spotted a second car coming towards him. The passage between the warehouse and docks was so narrow that two cars could barely fit through.
His hands tightened around the wheel when he steered straight for the narrow area.
He could feel an incredible adrenalin rush when both cars coming towards each other didn't slow down and their sides connected on impact because there wasn't enough space. Metal ground against metal producing mind numbing noise and sent both cars slightly off the track. While Brian's car zoomed towards the nearest ship, the old van ran into a container next to warehouse and came to a sudden stop, that sent both Jack and Sam against the dash board.

With both hands firmly on the wheel Brian was determined to do whatever it took to help Jack no matter how stupid his brother was. His children were safe and that was all he needed to know.
He saw the trucks lights turn on and a moment later it was speeding in his direction. If he was lucky Jack was till alive.
The truck and Brian's car neared a narrow part and for a brief moment before they scraped against each other he could see his brothers blonde hair. He was alive.
Brian didn't have a whole lot of time because the van diverted his path towards the ship to his right. Turning his wheel Brian managed to only let the tail end connect with the massive tall side of the ship. Yet the impact threw him all over the place in the car making it hard to keep control. Brian's head connected with the side window but he kept his foot on the gas just to pull the e-brake and swing the car around 180 degrees so he was facing into the direction of the van again, that had run into one of the containers on the side and was smoking already.

Playing chicken in such a narrow passage was never a good idea...
"What the hell are you doing?!" Jack shouted, but it was already too late. He braced himself in the seat as the side of the van and the car scraped against each other, sending both vehicles in uncontrolled directions; their van heading for a large container, the car god-knows-where. Moments later, he feels the impact full force when the van crashes head on against the container, sending both him and Sam forward to smack their head against the dashboard before his world faded to black...
...It was the smell of oil that brought Jack back to consciousness. He tried to open his eyes, but decided to be patient for a moment. His senses were slowly firing up and registering pain. He brought a hand to his head, feeling the slickness of blood. With a groan he opened his eyes, and stared out, taking a moment to figure out what had happened to him.
Car crash... Sam...
One look beside him told him that Sam still seemed to be out. Exhaling a breath, Jack willed himself to think more clearly. His right arm felt numb, though probably not broken. Carefully, with his left hand he felt around for the gun he'd dropped during the crash, pushing the van's door open as soon as he found it and stumbling less than gracefully out of the crashed van. God dammit, Stephano's goon would be on them soon and he could hardly move a muscle without it hurting. Still, he had to get out of here; everything else be damned.
Using the walls of the warehouse for support, and leaving bloody hand-prints all over it in the process, Jack began to move away from the wreckage, which was smoking so badly it looked like it could blow any second. Fuck, he could only hope it blew with Sam still in it; the son of a bitch deserved everything he had coming, and at least that way, Jack's hands remained blood-free (apart from his own blood, that was).

Having sat with her mismatched eyes on her phone and when it went off she had it in her hands before the second ring. "Ill be right there." She all but ran to her Charger, her boots making a clicking sound as she ran. Her tires screamed as she pulled out of the hotel. Her mind was racing. Were her little ones okay? Thenthough of soon seeing them made her press her charger to its max.
Her blue and black charger raced threw the docks, until she found Mia and Dom. The momentshe saw her children relief washed over her like rain. She stepped out of her car and over to her children. Then she scooped her little boy Jason into her arms and stroked the cheek of her little girl Laura.

Anything was better than a bullet in the temple according to Sam. The uncontrolled crash into the container was a little more fierce than expected though and knocked him out from one second to the next when his head connected with the steering wheel of the old van. Of course the rusty vehicle wasn't equipped with such fancy life savers as air bags. The blackness engulfed Sam only for a short while though until he could hear some sounds through the blackness and the biting smoke entered his lungs and made him cough. Before he even opened his eyes again he remembered what had happened and felt the movement next to him. Jack! With his face still pressed against the steering wheel Sam fished for Jack with his right hand but only grabbed air. Opening his eye one glimpse he saw the open door, which served as the right wake up call to jump into action. The steering wheel had not only left his face bruised and bloody but knocked the wind right out of his lungs. Pushing himself away from it he noticed how hard sitting up and breathing was. Still he didn't waist any more time. Loosing the shipment and Jack would be a double death sentence for him. There was not enough time to unload the shipment before the van might explode so he at least would make Jack pay. Struggling out of the busted up vehicle he took a moment to stand still, breath and collect himself. Then he reached down to the bottom of his leg where a hunting knife, that he couldn't access under Jack's watchful eyes, was still secured. With shaking fingers he reached for it but had to stop because of the pain in his chest, which was most likely coming from one or two broken ribs. Behind him the car that had run him off the tarmac was now approaching rapidly. Where Rina was he didn't know but most likely she wasn't far behind. This was enough to make him start running and although he had to favor his one leg he was fast to enter the warehouse. Dark red fingerprints on the wall and droplets on the floor gave away Jack's path as far as the outside street lights allowed him to see. With his hunting knife in his fist Sam silently tip toed further into the building always ready for Jack's possible attack. The further he went the less visible the blood was so he stopped and listened closely while holding his own breath.

From a distance Brian could see his brother limp away from the car, then shorty after Sam. By the time he arrived there with squeeling tires both men had dissapeared into the warehouse while dark, grey smoke was blowing away from the vans front. Brian parked far enough away to be safe from a possible explosion and didn't bother about the vans contents. All that matter right now was his brothers life and with a hired mafia killer after him his life expectency wasn't the greatest. Unfortunately Brian wasn't armed. All he could count on were his near combat skills and taking the weapon from Sam. Quickly he followed them into the warehouse with his back against the side wall. Like a cat he made his way into the building where he could spot one mans shadow in the doorway to a second hall.

The sound of tires broke the silence, Mia held the baby tighter to her taking a peak and noticed Mira looking for them. Mia placed her hand up in the air, heavy footsteps approach them and finally mother and cildren were reunite. Mia braced herself, what was going through Mira´s mind? What was she going to do? She looked down and froze for a moment with the baby girl in her arms already asleep.
To her surprise there was no yelling, fighting or anyhting...was she still in shock? Mira didn´t interrogate them, didn´t ask Mia why the hell she had her daughter. The only thing she did was scoop up her son in her arms and caress her daughter cheek while in Mia´s arms. "Mira," she touched her arm. "You have get out of here and take them with you. Now!"
*** The sound of the sirens was starting to get closer to the docks, as the police car and its blue and red lights faded away from where Mia and Dom were. The two cops got out with their guns drawn ready to shoot if they had to.
A van was wrecked sending their senses to high alert, one of the officers looked inside to see if there was anyone that might need medical attention, broken glass covered the wooden floor and blood drops revealed a trail.
The second officer went back to the police car and asked for back up just in time to hear some footsteps inside the warehouse not far from where the men in uniform were. Sharing a quick glance to one another they approached slowly not knowing what they were going to encounter.

Dom concluded that either Mira was a woman of few words or was in complete shock, maybe both. An immense sense of relief came over him when the kids were finally in the right hands. No longer did they have to keep that in the back of their minds. "Go Mira, get them as far from here as possible." He said in agreement with Mia.
Now his attention was directed back on that crash he heard just moments ago. He could make a bet that it was that van he saw coming off the ship and Brian (in Mia's car, no less). Who else would be slamming into each other in the docks of all places? With the kids out of the way, it was time to investigate himself. "I'm going to see what's what." He stated as he stepped out of the container and took a look around, leaving Mia to her free will. Whether that would be to join him or dig around herself, he knew she was plenty capable of holding her own.
Around them the area was calm, and now the area where he heard the crash was ominously calm as well. Soon though, the sound of sirens broke the air as he watched a cop car flying to the heart of the dock, and then to what looked like the crash scene. Dom hustled up to some of the nearby crates and stayed a few crates away from of the crash. Nobody was there except the cops, that probably meant there was a game of hide and seek being played around here. He moved within the space of the different crates and kept an eye out for any signs of Jack, Brian, or the mob.

After hearing the soft, yet still pretty distinct sounds of Sam entering the warehouse, Jack moved more quickly and quietly through the large building, though he wasn't sure if stealth really mattered that much when his hand was bleeding quite badly again, leaving a nice and neat little trail of dark, red drops for Sam or anyone else to follow. Still, he felt the odds were more in his favor. After all, he was the one carrying the gun... not to mention, Sam had been pretty banged up by the crash, too.
Jack rounded the corner of a large crate... and ducked back instinctively when he saw Sam's shadow move not too far away from him. With his back against the crate, he took a glance, a glint of light drawing his eyes to Sam's hand, where the blade of what looked to be a hunting knife was visible in the gloom. So the son of a bitch wasn't as unarmed as he'd initially thought. Didn't matter though. All that mattered was that this little game was going to end tonight, one way or another, and that he'd get his fingers back...
...one way or another.
One deep breath was taken before he made his move.
"Hey, Sam. Anyone ever tell you you're a shitty driver?" His voice was low, dangerous as Jack stepped out into the gloom in front of Sam, gun cocked and aimed, a flippant smile crossing his lips. His expression then turned into a sneer just before he pulled the trigger, the bullet tearing through Sam's shoulder, sending him stumbling backwards into a wall. Jack stepped forward as the man slid down to the floor, kicking the dropped knife just out of reach before kneeling down in front of a shocked Sam, leveling the gun at Sam's head at point blank range.
"I'm giving you one last chance to tell me where my fingers are. Or maybe I should just grab that hunting knife and take yours," Jack growled, pushing the back of Sam's head against the wall with the barrel of the man's own Beretta.
Meanwhile, while Sam was slowly bleeding out, the wails of approaching sirens could be heard outside, and it didn't take long before tires were screeching to a stop outside; blue and red light flashed through the high windows of the warehouse, but Jack stayed where he was for the time being. After all, he wasn't the bad guy here (though the cops might think otherwise when they'd walk in on this scene), Sam was, damn it!
