What's the point of being an outlaw when you've got responsibilities?

Jack nodded in response to his brother. "Yeah, don't worry." He said it but didn't quite believe it. There was still plenty to worry about. But atleast he wouldn't be running his mouth, Angel had made sure of that. He still couldn't quite shake the images out of his head. In silence he got out of the car and checked out the entrance of the clubhouse. He had no idea what the hell to expect in there and that made him even more uncomfortable than he already was. One thing was sure though. He was never borrowing money from that Amira chick again.

The clubhouse wasn't much. It had been passed down from generation to generation. It consisted of a 3 story house with a basement converted into extra bedrooms. The top floor of the house was for high ranking members only, while the rest was up for grabs.
They had a cleaning lady that came every so often, but other than that they were on their own. And so the house was messy and completely falling apart, but for some reason as he pushed open the front door he felt embarrassed.
He lead the blondes into the house, nodding towards some other members of the crew that were scattered around the house. "They're cool," he said, motioning to Jack and Brian behind him.

Brian walked into the old house with all his senses on high alert. His eyes scanned the rooms, people, weapons, possible exits as he walked by. Unfortunately he still couldn't hear properly, which made him slightly uneasy. Slightly? No, he was close to freaking out. Despite all training and previous police work he had never have to deal with a gang. Brian made sure that he was close to Jack. His hand fumbled for his cell phone in his pocket making sure it was switched off.

Angel waited until Jack and Brian were inside the house, before shutting the steel enforced door behind them and locking in the deadbolt. "Busquen al doctor y lo suben a mi cuarto," he ordered one of the crew members in Spanish. They needed a doctor and he needed to think in silence, without the blaring music and television from the living room.
He climbed up to the top floor of the house, motioning for Brian and Jack to follow him. As they hit the top floor, they passed by a door. Angel couldn't stop himself from putting his hand on the door knob, but as he begun to open the door, he stopped. He shut it quickly and continued to head down the hall, to his room.
Angel unlocked the door, removing the 3 locks that were on it. He pushed the heavy steel door and allowed the blondes to enter.

The door to the left was closed before Brian could get a glimpse inside, which left him curious. He really wondered whether Amira had anything to do with all that had gone down that night. She couldn't possibly. She was too nice, too mellow. Brian bit back a remark about the three locks on the door. Maybe from now on he needed to have three locks as well. When he stepped inside he found an empty wooden chair near the wall. He understood a bit of Spanish and the last thing he wanted was to be patched up by some gang doctor. He still had the stitches from the vet in his side so he had his share of 'off the book treatment'. Everything that popped into his head he could say seemed to cheeky, to clever so he simply asked. "Is this your place?"

Jack glanced over at his brother. He'd never seen him so uneasy. Usually Brian kept a pretty straight head, even when Jack ran his mouth at the worst possible times. Then he just couldn't help but roll his eyes at the question. Was that really all he had to say about this shithole? He opened his mouth ready to say something. Anything really. How could he not? But then he quickly changed his mind and shook his head to himself clenching his jaws back together. None of it was really worth having to stare down the barrel of a gun again. He'd done that enough times today and he really wasn't planning on making a hobby out of it. So instead he watched Angel and wondered why he'd bothered to take them up here just to get cleaned up. He had to be up to something else for taking such a risk.

Unlike the other high ranking members in the gang, Angel's room was bare. He only kept the bare necessities on hand. There was no need for him to keep his things in the clubhouse. He lived nearby and knew where to go if he ever needed to hide out. Angel only used his room at the clubhouse for girls and to stash things.
He walked over to a desk in the corner, opening the drawer and grabbing two stacks of money. He placed the twenty thousand on the top of the desk and stood aside, leaning against it. "Ten gs a piece," he said, zipping down his hoodie and pulling it off.
He glanced between Brian and Jack, hoping that the money would be enough to get them off his back for now.

Brian watched Angel while he leaned against the wall close to Jack. Underneath his hoddie Angel wore a vest, who would have guessed, which had marks from previous bullet hits. Being behind enemy lines made the cop very nervous but he tried his best not to show it.
When Angel pulled out the money and placed it on the table for them Brian went over to him and grabbed his share. "Now You're talking." He smiled a fake smile. This money was as dirty as it gets. He wouldn't keep it even if he had nothing left.
Trying to come off as cool and relaxed he sat down on the simple bed and nodded at Angel with the money in his hand. He decided to make a blunt move. "This will do for now. Is there more in it for us?" Then he looked around as if he was checking out the room. "You have a lot of say here. Do you run this...show?" Purposely he didn't use the word gang.

Jack stared at the money. He'd never seen that much together, let alone own it, which wasn't that weird considering that he couldn't keep a job to save his life.
He stepped towards the desk, grabbed the remaining 10 grand and while he flipped through it with his finger, he glanced at Brian. He wondered whether he'd be able to keep it or if he had to hand it in after this was over since it was drug money. Personally he couldn't care less how dirty it was. This night had been fucked up enough and he could damn well use it.
When Brian asked if there was more in it for them, Jack almost dropped the money out of surprise. Did he really hear him ask that? He threw a glance at Angel and judging from his reaction, he did hear it right. He cleared his throat and mumbled. "Yeah, I love almost getting my ass shot. Really makes you feel you're alive." So much for him and keeping his mouth shut.

Angel couldn't help but smirk. It was true, Jack probably wouldn't be able to keep his mouth shut even if it depended on it, but he sorta liked it. It meant that Jack was somewhat honest and could be depended on to keep the situation lively.
He thought about how that would go over with the rest of the crew. Two gringos who were definitely not from this side of town had no business on their streets. He would catch a lot of heat.... but he could always work around it.
Keeping the blondes around would mean that things would go easier. Their rivals didn't know them and wouldn't be expecting two blue eyed blondes to be after them. Just as long as Angel kept paying them out of his cut there shouldn't be any problems.
But then there was Amira.... how would he manage to keep the blondes away from her? If she got wind of anything that went down tonight..... he might as well kill himself because it would be just a matter of time before she did. Angel sometimes underestimated the bond between Amira and him, but he didn't wanna chance it.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a business card. "Call this number whenever you wanna make some extra cash. Leave a message and a call back number," he said, handing the card to Brian.

Brian looked at the card in his hand in disbeleive. "You have a business card?" Then he shoved it into his pocket. He was ready to leave. Everything he wanted to acchieve was done. He had earned the guys trust, seen where the safehouse was and gotten Jack off the hook. The sad downside of the medal was that he had to shoot somebody, who would hopefully be alive, and watch somebody being shot without being able to react. It was time to get out of there before worse would happen. Brian exchanged a glance with his brother. "I think I'm going to take my brother home now." With a gesture towards his pocket he got up and added. "I'm going to give you a call."

Angel cocked his head to the side and nodded at the blondes. "Just so we're on the same page," he said, a slick smile on his face,"you guys know what'll happen to both of you if anything about tonight falls onto the wrong ears."
He walked over to the door, pulling it open and motioning to the stairs. He hoped he was getting his point across. He didn't want them confusing his smile with friendliness. It was as evil as they came... just like him.
"Be safe," he said, sarcastically. --
