It was about a week after the impound fiasco now, when Jack found himself leaning against his brother's Skyline, which was parked right outside the Miami police station. His smirk seemed to be permanently etched on to his face, and could be called nothing other than smug as he watched blue suits walk in and out of the building. Of course, he knew better than to present his ass on a golden platter to these pigs, but as it were, he was still a free man. In fact, he hadn't had a single cop show up on his doorstep nor at his work these past couple of days.. He had to admit, this amused him, considering.. yet at the same time it made him.. well, he wouldn't say paranoid, but it did make him a little bit antsy. And so here he was, looking for a little chat with dear old brother. Sure, he could have saved himself some trouble, he could have gone by the boat house again,(assuming Brian hadn't had it moved, could boat houses be moved?, because of his unwanted visits), but he had shown up unexpected there twice now, and it was getting a little old, wasn't it?
He plucked a cigarette from the pack in his pocket as he waited, and placed it loosely between his lips. He lit it, and after taking the first drag, he leaned forward just enough, his head tilting just a bit as he watched the ass of a female cop when she passed by. Oh, wouldn't mind riding her backseat sometime.. Flashed through his mind before his attention got drawn away from the fine view when finally finally Brian came outside, looking all dolled up and pristine, apart from maybe the healing bruises and cuts on his brother's face, just like a real cop.
"She's a beauty, bro. What's she runnin'?" His hand patted the hood of the Skyline behind him gently, his eyes moving over the paintjob for a moment before he looked up at his brother with an instant and full-on grin on his face. "Heard you're pushing pencils now. They put you on desk duty, huh? Can't say I blame them, you always were a shitty cop." His voice sounded good natured, and perhaps even joking, but they both knew better. They both knew he meant every word he'd said.
He took another lung full of smoke before he moved from the Skyline's hood to meet Brian half way. His hand clapped on his brother's shoulder and he brought his face a little closer to Brian's. "You and I, we need to talk, brother." His expression stayed friendly, fooling any bystander, as his hand moved from Brian's shoulder to his brother's neck. But the increase of strength in his grip, and the tone in his voice betrayed his true nature. "Let's take a ride." He growled before he pushed Brian towards the Skyline. He himself had taken the bus here, since the Evo was still at Larry's, and he had to say public transportation was fucking humiliating. He couldn't wait to get his own pride back on the road again...

The last thing Brian needed after a day of following up old cases and sorting old files that never got finished was what he encountered on his car...well, who he encountered there. Good old Jack. Rolling his neck that was stiff from looking at paper files all day long he ignored Jack's questions and insults. He simply waited and crossed his arms in front of his chest before he asked. "You done?" Jack got uncomfortably close and even dared to grab Brian by the neck to push him to his car. That kind of treatment was anything but funny and right now Brian couldn't stand his brother touching him or pulling any of his shit. He was far beyond pissed off. Brian wanted to see Jack go down! Turning away he wriggled his way out of his brothers grip and glared at him. "You touch me again and I'll punch your lights out." There was still an open score, that was now manifesting under Brians eyes as dark circles, that needed to be settled. Add the humiliation and attitude Jack showed, you get one hell of a revenge plan. "Get lost, Jack. Yoiu're in front of a police station in case you didn't notice." A few people were giving them the eye so Brian got into his car and smiled up at Jack. "Have a good rest of your life, 'bro'." OOC: Awe, you're wearing your hair long and dark now, bro?

Jack snorted when he realized he wouldn't get shit out of Brian if he kept up his attitude. He flicked his half finished cigarette away before he shoved both his hands in his pockets to at least look less threatening, as his older brother was clearly still touchy around him. Could he blame Brian for that? Eh.. probably not. As he watched his brother get into the Skyline with every intention to drive away, his brow furrowed. "Oh, come on, Brian. Don't be like this. I'm still me, I'm still little Jackie." Even though he fucking hated it when people, his family, had called him that. He had made sure the nick name, if it even classified as one, had stayed in Barstow though, with the rest of his shitty old life. "I'm sorry for last week, alright? Things got a little.. crazy." And with 'little', he should probably have said 'a lot', as the evidence of 'crazy' was still apparent on Brian's face. Yeah, he had put quite some efforts in to those hits.. He glanced at the cops building for a moment before he shrugged when he looked at Brian once more. Of course he had noticed. He had been sitting out here for, what? fifteen minutes or so, watching how these guys sat around with their thumbs up their asses. No wonder he could do whatever the hell he pleased in this city, though truthfully.. he had a sneaking suspicion that wasn't entirely true... "Look, man. I just want to talk to you, that's all. Five minutes, then I'm out of your hair. I promise." He smiled slightly in an attempt to look friendlier, to look like he meant it all, from the apology to the promise. Did it fucking work...?OOC: Yeah! You're fucking hilarious, man! (What google ain't good for, eh?XD)

Brian wrapped his hands around the wheel but didn't start the engine. 'Here we go again ' he thought. His brother was probably trying to make some more evidence disappear and needed to smooth talk Brian after he fucked up so badly. "You might want to know that I'm not working your case anymore in case you trying to beg me to hide some evidence or something." Then he look at Jack with a smirk on his lips that wasn't even just a pretend one. "You might also want to know that I've told the chief that it was you who stole the cars." Of course he didn't tell Jack who was working his case now. That would give the guy too much satisfaction nor did he tell him that he was seriously pissed off about his new 'assignment' for the same reason.
He than looked away and started the engine. "I don't know who the hell you are these days but you're definetly not little Jackie anymore." 'More like big ole Jackass'.
Without looking at the younger O'Conner he held up one finger. "You have one minute."

Jack raised his eyebrows. The fake smile he had worn was long gone by now. He had one minute to do what? Bash his brother's fucking face in again? Because he sure as hell felt the mood to do just that coming on when he heard Brian had ratted him out, his own flesh and blood, just like that. But it raised another question. If Brian was telling the truth, and was not just yanking his chain, which, he might add, wasn't the smartest thing to do around him nowadays, then why was he still walking around a free man? It could be lack of evidence against him, sure, but he would have still been arrested and questioned for the 24 hours they were allowed to hold him without charge.
He drew his tongue over his lower lip as he leaned both his hands on the open windowsill of the Skyline, and he bent enough to look his brother in the eyes. "So if you are off the case, than who's working it now? And don't think I wont smell the bacon a mile away on whoever they send undercover. I know how you pigs work..." Hell, his old man was a retired one, his brother was one.. He was raised around cops, spoon fed on morals and the rights and wrongs of the world. If anything, it could make one wonder where and how it went wrong with him, but he'd save that for a shrink.
He smiled slightly while his fingers drummed on the sill. "I don't suppose you told your chief about your own involvement last week, huh?" And there the anger in his eyes returned. His smile faded and he gritted his teeth slightly as he grabbed the tie of Brian's police uniform, yanking his brother closer towards him. "But I can tell you this though. If and when I go down, I'll drag your sorry ass down with me. I saw your fucking smile that night, your excitement, and whether you like it or not, you're just as much accountable as I am for what happened at the impound lot, brother." He growled, practically spitting the last word in Brian's face before he let go of the tie.
"Well. I guess my minute is up now.." He smiled a third time, this time a more genuine one as he patted Brian's cheek before he straightened back up. He had said everything he had wanted to, and if he was right and he did get a tail on his ass, he'd deal with that tail in whatever way he felt necessary.

The conclusion that if Brian was off the case somebody else would be on it wasn't the one of a genius. The fact that it was a female rookie could be an advantage because she wasn't your usual cop. Not one that reeks like a cop from miles away anyway. He smirked. "Brace yourself. I'm not going to give you a name but I'm telling you to watch your back carefully. They actually flew this guy in to bust your sorry little ass."
Did he tell his boss about his own involvement? Not in so many words but it was pretty obvious. "I gave my boss some info on my involvement...just the most necessary." Brian wanted to make sure that Jack didn't send his boss a nasty letter about Brians activities.
As soon as Jack layed hands on him Brian reached around his brothers wrist and squeezed tight with his right hand and went for his gun with the left. Through gritted teeth he growled. "I told you not to touch me again."
He ignored Jacks threads even though he believed he had no reason to fear Jack. The explosion were only his doing as well as the shot up car. Brian had to tag along- it was his assignment. So no worries there. It took him a lot to endure Jacks touch and mocking. He couldn't wait to pay his brother back. The visit only confirm his decision to help Mira catch him. Jack needed to learn a lesson. One because he pissed Brian off like nobody else and he simply couldn't understand that his brother didn't know what was right and what was wrong anymore. Sure, he enjoyed the jacking as well but he still knew it was wrong and did it for completely different reasons. What on earth happened to Jack only he knew. Or had his brother always had this dark side inside? The second reason was that he needed to make sure Jack would learn his lessons before somebody simply got rid of him.
While Jack's head was still poking in Brian rolled the window up, gave him a bored looked and the backed away with squeeling tires.
Leaving Jack in the dust gave him a little satisfaction....next stop: Mira.
