The words almost blew Brian#s mind. he couldn't imagine it. When he asked Mia to marry him he was in prison and needed nothing more than her. Maybe he wouldn't have survived if she'd done the same thing. Shaking his head he mumbled. "That sucks. You think you'd do the right thing and bam....I'm sorry." He reached for the bottle and took a drink directly from it. Drinking seemed like a good idea with Braga on his ass and the baby whining constantly since he'd been sick.

Dom nodded, "I guess nothing was meant to be with Letty... but I can't think of anyone one else like her..." he mumbled grabbing the bottle from Brian as he tipped it back ignoring the burn of the liquid.
He could feel the buzz and didn't quite care, somewhere in his mind he knew drinking wouldn't do anything but make him regret it in the morning. But then again he could deal with that in the morning when he had a hangover and didn't make it out of bed until well after noon.
"You think there is another girl like Letty out there Brian? One that won't run off on me?" Dom asked his words slurring slightly as he set the near empty bottle down once more, "You have it good you know... a wife, a kid, a family of your own..."

"I know, bro, I know." He smiled. "It's awesome. That's why it's so precious. Worth protecting...by any means." He grabbed the bottle once more downing the last two big gulp. His eyes watered up because of the stinging sensation in his mouth and throat. It felt good. Made his worries fade away into a cotton like easiness. "I don't know about a chick for you. There's a lot of cool girls out there that would dig you...but are they like her? Nope. Different can be good though." Wondering where this spill of philosophical words came from he shook his head. "We need more booz."

Dom nodded numbly, "More booze it is," he said placing both hands on the table to steady himself before he headed back to the cabinet and grabbed another bottle of Tequila, "Race chasers... Skirts... no chick that doesn't mind a little engine grease. Is that so hard to find in a chick? One that knows cars inside and out?" he asked as he gestured with the full bottle in his hand.
Shaking his head he twisted the cap off and took a deep drink from it. Dom walked back to the table and sat heavily in the chair, "At least Mia's asleep..." he mumbled looking at the clock, having to blink to get the clock back into focus.

Brian smirked at his friend. It ahd been a while since they had drunk together and Brian barely remembered ever seeing him drunk. "Yeah, good for her. She hasn't gotten much lately. Plus she doesn't need to see you throwing up on her kitchen floor!" His hand wrapped around the bottle eager to taste another burning in his mouth. He could clearly feel the effects of the Tequila when he leaned back in his chair and folded his arms behind his head. "It's not that hard, you just have to be read for it."

"My kitchen floor," Dom said shaking his head, "I've been waiting for Letty so she can tell me what the fuck happened after I gave her the ring, obviously I missed something because we were good before then... But since she doesn't seem to be coming back... Maybe the races will have some girls part angel part devil, live and breathe cars," Dom said mumbling as he rubbed his head tiredly.
He took the bottle back and looked at it almost hopefully, before he took another long drink from it. The buzz was already flooding through him, after he had almost finished the first bottle of tequila by himself and the second was already a third of the way gone. Dom would be lucky if he even remembered what he and Brian had talked about when ever he woke up.

"My floor now, buddy, My kids puked on it, I made love to your sister on it...my floor." He joked as the alcohol numbed his brain. Laening on his elbows he added. "You just need to race. If the chicks see who you are you'll have free choice!" brian knew from experience that the girls at the races were all over the winners.
Upstairs they heard a soft cry which subsided soon. Brian got up to close the door swaying slightly and grabbed the bottle back on his way. "Give me that..."

Dom stood and followed Brian, "I know, but I don't want a race chaser..." he said, "Why do you need my booze?"
Dom had chose to ignore the 'made love to his sister' comment, he promised his sister he would try to get along with her husband. That obviously meant get shit faced with him and have a 'man' talk about stuff. If Dom knew if he himself would wake up without a hangover, he would make breakfast.

"For two reasons." the blonde pointed at him. "One: If you keep going at this pace we'll be out of booze in no time. Two: I want some as well." he smirked and placed his lips on the bottle neck before tipping his head back and swallowing twice. Drinking the strong alcohol like water made him cough involuntarily. "Holy smokes...how do you do it?"

"Do what?" Dom asked grabbing the bottle back, "This isn't the last bottle I have stashed... Letty and I fought a lot," he said his words slurring slightly together as he followed Brian up the stairs to where the baby was.
He tipped the bottle back once more, the burn numbing his throat as he thought about Letty, she was gone and she wasn't coming back to him anytime soon.

It hardly ever happened that Tyler settled down without a bottle or anything like that but today the pacifier did it's trick. Carefully Brian closed the door behind him and sighed. His gaze fell into their bedroom where he could see Mia sleeping peacefully stretched out across the whole bed. A smile spread on his face. he nudged Dom. "Let's go back down before we wake her up. The way down the stairs was almost difficult because the alcohol spread in his system. He almost tripped but caught himself just before he stumbled down the bottom stairs. Then he looked back up at Dom and laughed without apparent reason. being more drunk than he would admit he pulled him in a hug and admitted. "I'm glad you#re here...and I'm glad we busted you out that prison bus...prison sucks!"

Dom laughed softly, "Why do you think I didn't want to go back anytime soon?" Dom said as he kept on hand on the wall and the other gripping the bottle neck.
He had missed being this drunk when he fought with Letty, because the makeup sex was amazing. But, there was no makeup sex... no yelling and swearing... no cold shoulder for hitting on other girls... there was nothing. It was just him and the bottle, well there was his extended family... but there wasn't his... his girl.
Dom looked at Brian and leaned against the wall in the front hall, "Why did you come back? Why did you come back as a fed? You let me go, and then came back to take me in again, why?"

Brian rolled his eyes and crossed his arms in front of his chest. "I never came back for you. You know that. It was all about Letty."
He remembered the time when he pointed his gun and Dom's back vividly. Dom had simply let the guy fall, that he was holding outside the window. If Brian hadn't caught him he might be dead.
"I tried to cut you a deal. Not my fault that the Feds didn't stick to it." They all went down because of it.

"It's always about Letty," Dom growled out as he made his way back into the living room, "Told her to leave, she staid. Asked her to marry me and she ran off. Then find out she got herself in trouble because she was trying to clear the name I gave to myself so I could keep my family off the rocks."
Dom tipped the bottle back and drank heavily from the bottle, he didn't care if he was going to be suffering in the morning for everything. Right now all he wanted to do was forget.

Obviously Dom was about to drink his sorrows away. So Brian decided to come along for the ride. He followed him and when Dom had drank quarter of the bottle he reached for it. "Share, buddy," He nodded towards the bottle in his hand which had already given him a nice buzz. Then he followed Dom's example...not quite as agressively but still taking three gulps of the burning stuff. he felt the water shoot in his eyes and cherished the feeling the alcohol gave him. A warm numbness mixed with a bit of tingling. "Forget about her...at least for tonight. Let me tell you about your sister and nephew. They are so awesome." He slurred. Mia's the best mother you can imagine. She'd cut her own leg off but she doesn't have to cause the whole mother thing comes to her so naturally. She damn sexy at it, too...I don't get that." Then he smiled broadly. "And the little fella...he's going to be a big charmer. He's got the cutest smile."

Dom smiled softly, "Mia's always been the mom... She's cleaned me up every time I got hurt protecting her. Best family I got, not saying much at the moment... she, you, Tyler, and your bro are family now but it used to be just me and her."
He looked away there had been a time where this house would have been filled with people, laughing and partying just to run out the rush of the races. But now it was him and Brian sitting on a couch drinking Tequila right from the bottle, with Mia and his tiny little nephew sleeping upstairs. He missed it, well he missed a lot of things, he missed his old crew too, Vince, Leon, Jesse, Han, and Tego. They were gone... one dead, one missing, two out of country, and one who probably never wanted to see him again.
"I miss the old days... where it was just the racing. Where I could come home to house full of people partying and having a good time, I miss it."

At Dom's remark about family Brian stuck his finger in his ear and wiggled it. "Huh? Did I just hear that right? You called me and Jack family?" A shit eating grin spread on his face. if he wanted to admit it or not he had longed for this moment for 7 years. Lifting the bottle he nodded. "To our family." Another swig completed his buzz. A little slurred he listened to Dom reminiscing about old times. Slowly he walked to the window where an old picture of the crew was framed on the wall. He handed it to Dom almost tripping over his own feet and fell onto the big old arm chair. "To good old times." He grabbed the bottle once again. He'd definetly pay for this in the morning. His eyelids were already getting a little heavy.

Dom took the photo as Brian collapsed into the arm chair, "You and Jack are family because you married my sister. I'm just stuck for the ride."
He shook his head and snatched the bottle back, "Yeah to the good old times," he said softly looking at Jesse's half grin captured in the frame, "I wish I had moved faster Jess... Then you coulda been here drinkin' with me," Dom's voice was barely at a whispered as he tipped the bottle back once more.
He glanced at the bottle blinking hard to bring it back into focus, "Your cut off Buster... the rest of the bottle is mine," Dom said shaking his head trying to clear the memories from it.

Brian briefly closed his eyes trying to remember how many more bottles he had stashed somewhere. His head started spinning and he decided that opening his eyes would be a good move.
He caught a glimpse of Dom staring at the picture. They all hated the fact how Jesse died. each single one of them would have liked to change that. Brian's face turned to stone. He half blamed himself for not being any faster. "I got the bastard back." He frowned. Nobody had ever pressed charges against him shooting Tran in the back. technically it probably qualified as self defense.
When Dom tried to cut him off he snarled. "Fine!" And got on all fours crossing the room to a low cupboard and pulled out an unopened bottle of Crown Royal. "The good stuff's for me then. my dad gave this to me a while back." He twisted the cap off and took a drink. The liquid burnt at first but then the taste of old oak barrells remained smoothe and silky in his mouth. "Hm. That's the stuff. You know we're going to pay for this in the morning." he laughed.

Dom let out a deep chested laugh, "No your gonna pay for it in the morning... You married my sister," Dom's head dropped back against the couch as he laughed, for some reason he couldn't stop himself from laughing.
He now was fully aware of how gone he was, when the non stop laughing started he had to stop drinking. Of course he never listened to that extra sense he had as pulled himself together enough to lift the bottle to his lips and drink once more, the burn having long since numbed his throat.
"I'm surprised we haven't woken my sister yet..."
