She was trembling, the swim to the surface didn´t make the water warm, but was at ease when she noticed Dom reunited with her and Brian. She took a quick look at Brian. "We should be asking that question," he look really bad.
She agreed to Dom´s words. "We need to get out of here," the cops were still adamant to find them searching with their flashlight around the area where the car went down as if they were all going to surrender to them.
OOC: Sorry about the short posts. I´ll try to make them longer.

Brian pulled himself as close to the wooden beam as he could and clung to it so he could stop kicking his feet and give his beaten body a rest.
Of course Dom was right. They needed to make people believe that they had drowned until the police could send a team of divers down to the car wreck. Unfortunately the police wasn't stupid and most likely suspected them to be hiding somewhere. The closest point to where the Charger broke the surface of the water was the launching pad they were under right now. "They'll be here any moment." Brian voice his fear and looked up to the gaps in the wood through which he could see the moonlight. Just as easily the cops would be able to spot the three underneath.
"Those boats over there. We have to reach them undetected before they bring their search light onto the pad." He wasn't sure whether he could actually swim that far fast enough without being detected. "Let's split up. So they don't catch us all at once. Don't even try to argue." It was a brave decision, some might call it stupid, and most likely his friends would object. "I don't Mia to get caught." He added in a softer tone.
Without waiting for an answer he pushed himself off the beam and started swimming in the general direction of the boats but kept closer to the docks so he could reach solid ground if he got in trouble. This way he was also far enough away from the others to not give away their position.

In Dom's mind, the boats were a huge risk. There was no guarantee they'd be able to start them for one. He knew how to hotwire a car, not a boat. Not to mention, the second they set off cops would be all over them. He was starting to wonder in the back of his mind if there really was anyway out of handcoffs. The only hope was that it would take the police a long enough time to get down to the ocean. It wasn't like they would be able to just hop down to the dock after all.
Dom actually agreed that splitting up was the best way to go. They had a better chance as a group that way. There were only so many path's to the boats though, and they were all in the same vicinity really. He noticed Brian taking a route that basically just followed the docks. "I'll go straight across." He turned towards Mia. It was a chance but he felt like his lungs were in solid enough shape to keep himself concealed in the water for the vast majority of time. "You go opposite of Brian. They'll look in the ocean before they look around the perimeter." He said before pushing himself off the wooden beam and sinking himself into the waters, only briefly sticking his face out for a breath.

Brian didn´t give her a chance to react to his words, she was going say something but he was swimming away from her. They were surrounded by boats but it was a matter of minutes before the cops started to search each and every boat, and find them. It looked like splitting would be the best way for them to get out of this situation.
She nodded to Dom´s words “Be careful,” was the last thing she said as she let go of the wooden beam too and drop to the water, she shivered feeling the coldness started to take control of her body immobilizing her for a second. Taking a quick look at where she was supposed to go and a good amount of air into her lungs, Mia dive into the water wanting nothing more than to be away from the cops, wanting for all of this to be over.

Every stroke hurt his rbis and made him want to give up. The knowlegde what would happen in prison kept him going though. Whatever other inmates would do to a cop was surely ten times worse. Clenching his teeth Brian kept paddling towards the edge of the water to follow it. Every now and then he had to pause and when he briefly turned his head to see where Mia and Dom were both had dissapeared. Brian was on his own. Right now he was the weakest link and it was only fair that they split.
The cold water helped his deal with the pain a little but he still didn't get enough air into his lungs to dive because his ribs hurt too much.
The cops were now carrying the large searchlight to the nearst point on the launching pad. A moment later it came on again, illuminating a large round area on the dark ripples.
Taking as deep of a breath Brian dove under the surface and tried to swim as far away as he could. The pressure was almost unbearable and made him resurface way too early. Luckily the search light was pointed towards the boats now though. Did they spot somebody? Mia? Dom? Once again he dove just to repeat the sorry game of swimming he was putting on display.
Out of the blue a small boat was drawing a half circle along the docks. It had no siren or lights but the upper deck and appliances of a fish cutter.
The small boat didn't get close neough for Brian to try and get on it, it did serve it's purpose though because suddenly the focus was ión it.
"LAPD. Direct your vessel over here and stop your engine!" The cops ordered through a megaphone.

Dom's spirit sunk a little further when he saw the police spotlight focus on the docked boats that were their escape haven. Although you could only expect that the cops would be keeping an eye on those for any movement. It felt like the harder he swam, the slower he was going to those boats. The icy water was taking it's toll on his energy as well. It felt like it would be an eternity before he would finally lay his hands on them. As he ducked his face out for a quick breath, he suddenly heard a loud megaphone. His first thought was that they were spotted, though after hearing some of the words, an immense relief filled him. Not only were they undetected, but now they had a distraction. His strokes became more swift as the window of opportunity opened. It was now or probably never. Even though only a couple minutes felt like a couple hours, Dom finally reached the vessel that was first in line and swam to the side opposite of what was facing the police. Though not as gracefully as he would've liked, he pulled himself onto the small deck at the back of the boat, making sure he was still hidden.
Now where were Brian and Mia?

She swam to the surface and tried to look around but of course it was impossible with all of this darkness. The search light gave little visibility to her to see where she was exactly and she nearly jumped when she heard a man´s voice demanding for a vessel to stop but relaxed realizing it wasn´t Dom or Brian who were in danger.
Where could she hide? The only thing she saw were boats, she was tired of swimming and didn´t have enough energy to pull herself up and into one of those boats, plus she´d give away her position to the cops by either creating ripples in the water with her movements or splash a lot of water trying to get inside one of the boats.
She could get out of the water but the moment she set foot out of the water she was going to draw their attention in a second, whether the ground had pebbles or sand, she could step onto those small pebbles, or leave her footprints in the sand, even the water dripping from her clothes and long hair, every way she looked at it had a high percentage of risk.
At the last minute she decided to stay hidden between the boats… if they came looking her way she had to stay underwater and hold her breath as much as she could.

With every stroke Brian lost more energy and was close to giving up because he was sure he'd drown if he tried to make it all the way across to the boats. What would be an easy distance on a normal day proofed almost impossible after being thrown off a bucking car.
Brian already swam as close to the edge of the water as he could but he needed to feel sand under his feet to be safe. Briefly he cast a glance over at the boats where he figured dom and Mia were when his foot finally touched the ground.
For a moment Brian just sat in the icy water to regain some energy and take a few longer breaths. Over at the launching pad the small fishing vessel was now docking. Soon the cops would be searching it and find out that only the captain was on board unless they got really lucky.
Since that wasn't likely Brian pushed himself off again and kept swiming. The side that had hit the tarmac was so tense and useless by now that he had to do all the work with one arm.
It surely took him 10 minutes to actually get within reach of the boats. By now the captain and one man of the smal fishing baot had been arrested and were seated in the police car, the cops kept searching though and were now walking along the shorline in the direction of the boats.
In as low of a voice as possible Brian called his friends. "Dom. Mia." All the salt water he inhaled and swallowed wasn't helping. Struggling to find a grip with his hand to hold on to something he kept sliding off. Brian had nothing left. If Dom wasn't around he'd become fish food.

Mia froze when the ripples in the water became stronger. She started to get nervous; there were no search lights around her or even near. There was someone in the water with her, who was it? her brother? A cop? Just when she was about to dive into the water she heard her name, barely a whisper. She poked her head out between the two small boats.
“Brian?” she said as low as he did, relaxing a little approaching to his side, taking a hold of one of the small boats and with her other hand she grabbed his arm, so he would stop struggling with the little energy he looked he had.

at this very moment the warm touch of her hand was like a wonder. It felt soothing in the cold water that had both of them shivering. Most likely they should get out of the cold water as soon as they could. "You made it..." He pull on her arm to get closer to her. Then he wrapped his one arm around her, the other one reached up to hold on to the boat. Her body felt nice and warm against his giving some of the lost body heat back. "You have to get out of the water." Brian's teeth were clattering when he told her. "Can you get up there if I help you?" He wondered and reached for the back of her jeans. He'd have to push her up that way and hold on with one hand. "Maybe we can just lay low in that boat until they give up."
Behind them the police was still searching the water with a spot light but Brian and Mia were on the other side of the boat and therefore hard to spot. "They'll call the coast guard. I'm surprised they aren't here yet."

"Thank god you´re okay," she kept shivering as she wrapped her arms around his neck. She didn´t move away from him right away until she heard his words and looked at him. "We have to get out , I am not the only one freezing in here" she tried to control the clattering of her teeth but it was hard to.
She shook her head when he reached for the back of her jeans. "Let me see what I can do, the last thing I want to do is cause more pain to whatever type of injury you got from falling off the roof of the car," She pulled her body out of the water, swinging her right leg inside the boat, then her left leg, the moment she set foot in the boat, water started dripping from her long and dark hair and soaking wet clothes. "That wasn´t so hard,"
"Your turn, come on" chills ran down her spine feeling the warm wind of the night turn into cold as it made contact with her skin.

With one hand he pushed Mia up not. Right now it didn't matter whether he was touching her butt or not. As soon as she was inside he looked around to make sure nobody was watching them and then placed both hands on the edge of the boat with his arms stretched out. What had been easy for Mia would be a hard task for the former cop. Bracing himself for the soon to come pain he pulled as hard as he could while his feet were kicking at the water. His hands were so cold and arms numb that he only made it to the edge with his chin before his arms gave in and he slipped back into the water. This wasn't only embarassing but made his head go under water once again. If he wasn't drowning tonight he was lucky. Once he resurfaced he reached up again. "You gotta help me." One more time he pulled himself up to his china and then reached out for Mia's hand with one arm. Slipping over the hard egde was cruel and made him curl into a cold, shivering ball once he was inside. Despite that a small laugh escaped him. "Thanks."

Mia took his arm and pulled him into the boat. "You´re welcome," she said to him as she rubbed her arms in an attempt to replace the cold with warmth. "That was fun," looking around where cops were still far away and searching for them. "How are you feeling, besides being cold?" Brian was lucky he didn´t get caught, even though she hadn´t seen how bad his injuries might be, she could see it in the way he struggled to get on the boat. She sat down making sure the search lights weren´t near where they were hiding and drew her knees to her chest.

"Just give me a whiskey and I'll be fine." He joked even though he really wasn't in the mood. The situation was calling for desperate messures. Brian was hurting but wasn't about to start whining. There was plenty of time later for that. "I'm too cold to feel anything." He simply stated. Dom was still somewhere in the water and who knew what had happened to Jack. Inevitably Brian had to think about his brother. 'I just hope the cops didn't get Jack...or shoot him." His voice was low, almost as if he could provoke anything with his words.
He saw how Mia was pulling her knees to her chest. Her lips were blue and she had goose bumps all along her bare arms. "Come here." Brian pulled her down towards the bottom of the boat. "Keep your head down." Then he wrapped his arms around her trying to warm her with his own body. It worked in the other direction too. Hypthermia wasn't really the best state at the moment.
While he was lying on his side trying to get some sort of warmth he heard a few splashes in the water nearby. "Dom?"

To have that closeness was necessary at how they both were shivering and had to keep warm to survive in a way and yet it felt strange? different? She didn´t know, but kept her head down bringing her hands to her lips as she tried to blow some warm air to her hands that were shaking too.
The swimming, the adrenaline, the coldness and tiredness was starting to take its toll on her. She frowned and look at Brian, that person splashing in the water better be Dom, if not they were going to be in big trouble...

Dom did his best to swiftly pull himself up on the boat, though he toned it down a bit when he realized how much commotion in the water he was creating. As his drenched and freezing body muscled its way onto the boat, he took an abrupt pause we he saw the figures of two people huddled up on the deck. Realizing it was Brian and Mia, he inwardly relaxed and crawled his way to them. "Just think, a couple weeks ago you two were at the farthest of ends." Dom said with a joking grin. His demeanor went back to a serious form though as he looked over the wandering boat that now had cops swarming around it. He knew that now was the time to do something, the question was, what? "What's your plan now, O'Conner?"

Sure enough the boat suddenly rocked to it's side when two large arms pulled on it and no other than Dom pulled himself on board. For the big guy it was the easiest task to gracefully pull and swing himself onto the vessel.
Brian breathed a sigh of relief that none of them had been caught or drowned even though Dom must have been searching for them since he was much faster.
Dom's words were so true when he mentioned how much Mia and Brian's situation had been changing over the past weeks or days. They had gotten much closer again, not only physically. Mia wasn't pushing him so far away anymore. He looked into Dom's sisters face and smiled a bit but didn't say a word.
The nice feeling didn't last long because they need a game plan. Lifting his head Brian looked around for some paddles but couldn't find any. "The only thing that comes to mind is slowly moving this boat towards the shore, away from where the cops are. Or we could swim further down but.." He let out a small pained groan. "I doubt I'll make that." Brian wasn't one to admit his weaknesses but right now he didn't have a different choice. He pushed himself to his knees and started searching for paddles. At the very back of the boat he found them together with a few life jackets. "Bingo."

She felt better when Dom pulled himself into the boat but never expected him to say those words, not that she felt offended by them because it was nothing but the truth, but she couldn´t help to look down for a second to her hands feeling herself blush like a little teenager. She was more than thankful it was dark although the full moon above them gave them some light that was enough for her to look up and find Brian staring at her. A small smile crept into her lips but quickly vanish as Brian started explaining what they could do next.
She had to agree when Brian e mentioned he wouldn´t be able to swim… she didn´t want to jump into the cold water, she knelt down helping him to pull out the paddles and the life jackets. Hopefully, they wouldn´t have to jump and swim again. “I am more than ready to get out of here,” taking one of the paddles and a life jacket giving it to Dom.

Even just pulling the paddles out from underneath a stack of life jackets and a box hurt enough for Brian to curl his arm around his own body and hand the paddle over to Dom. "Keep you heads as low as possible and go super slow. They mustn't see that the boat is moving." He then undid the knot that tie the boat to a nearby boye.
Brian took it upon himself to keep an eye out for the cops, who were busy transporting the fisherman and his right hand away, then search the edge of the water and finally under the ramp.
Once they got further way and closer to the shore Brian spotted the lights of the coast guard approaching at a rapid speed from the other side of the docks. "You have maybe three minutes. Pull harder." He whispered. It would be shame to make it this far but get cought a moment away from safety.

There was nothing better than to feel the freedom when the rope that kept the boat to the buoy was not preventing them from sailing away anymore. She kept her head down, everything was going smoothly. Almost close to the shore, the lights kept going around not giving up on their search to find the three of them in the water.
Dom picked up the pace with the paddling barely making it to the shore, the water rippled with the paddle entering and exiting in attempt to move the boat faster, just as in cue a fish or was it a frog? Jumped out of the water creating a new ripple covering the boat trail and still the light kept going around but by now the cops wouldn´t be able to catch them.
