The driver of the second vehicle on the scene was determined not to let the suspects get away. He was seasoned good driver and had a high quota of stopping suspects on the run. His partner radioed the license plate, name and model and waited to get the wrap sheet of the driver. The list the dispatcher was rambling off in his dull, monotone voice left him stunned though. "No wonder he drives like the devil in person." He shouted while trying to get around the first police car because the driver obviously didn't know what he was doing. Once he had accomplished that he was good to get bumper to bumper with Toretto, who was well known in the local driving scene. His ego boosted the old man to new levels and he got pretty darn close through the narrow obstacle course of the docks. "Shoot his tires!" His partner gave him a weird look because he didn't fancy hanging his own head out of the window while racing around corners at this sort of speed. He obeyed the command though and drew his gun. Soon a few bullets hit the buildings nearby, others got pretty darn close and two even broke the back window and put a hole in the bumper.

While they were being chase Mia took a quick look at Brian´s injuries, the way he gasped and groan in pain the moment she helped him get off the ground, there was no doubt he had some broken ribs. "Some broken ribs for sure but I won´t know how deep or how bad his injuries are until I take a closer look at them..." she looked at the rearview mirror she could only see more cops, Dom tried his best to lose them.
"Keep driving one more mile and we´ll be out of here..." her gaze focused on the map in her hands. She started to read the map out loud, it was now up to Dom to choose where they would all go.

The sudden gunshots were unappreciated but predictable. Dom heard some shots hit the bumper and others he presumed hit the ground. They must've been trying for the tires. However, it would be incredibly difficult to hit the tires at this rate of speed unless you were a Navy SEAL sniper. Given that a couple shots went through the back window and street lamps were getting hit, this officer was no sniper. Nonetheless, chances could not be taken, especially when there was nothing to gain.
The mile quickly passed and they were out in open territory again. The charger had a hard time outrunning the well-equipped cop cars....for now. "Brian, there's a nitrous tank mounted in the back, open the valve if you can." Dom took a glance back at the hurting O'Conner. Speeds had reached 130+ mph, Dom made swift but smooth movements around traffic, keeping the car steady. Most of the police cars couldn't hold chase, except a couple good ones. Dom spied a cop with a rifle in the passenger seat of the lead cruiser bravely aim his gun outside towards them. "Shit, hurry Brian."

Dom had barely taken off and shaken him and Mia around in the backseat through some narrow corners when the first shots were fired. Things were getting too ugly for Brian's taste, especially when all he had done was try to help his brother and all Dom and Mia had done was help them. Well, Mia technically had helped kidnap his kids but she had been forced to if she wanted them to live. Brian had no time to think about this or how many layers of skin he had left back on the tarmac because one of the bullets hit the back window making him grab Mia's shoulder and push her down into the gap between the seats. "Stay down, Mia."
The way Dom was manouvering through the narrow passages in between the last containers and warehouses made Brian, who could only see the rooftops fly by from his laying position on the back seat, feel sick. It all became one big blur out there. The way his bloody wet clothes were sticking to his burning skin didn't help either.
Gritting his teeth against the pain he replied. "Behind the back seat?" He hoped that his friend hadn't installed the tank under the seat he was sprawled out on. Pulling down the back rest of the seat he found the tank and twisted the small wheel on top to let the NOS make it's way towards the engine.
"Done." He shouted when he suddenly saw the head lights of the cop car behind them through a newly formed tiny hole in the trunk. "Preferabaly before we get shot."
Instinctively he place his own upper body over Mia's to protect her from the bullets. -- The cop had a new idea to catch the charger. "We need a road block at the end of the docks." He screamed into his microphone.
Just before the suspects reached the open stretch beyond the docks one of the police cars that had been called onto scene as well drove in place to block the road.
As soon as the cop saw that he knew what he had to do. "Once they get close enough to the block I'll stop. We both get out and empty our magazines into those tires. Understood?"
His partner nodded. With bated breath he waited for the right moment, jumped out once the car had come to a halt and aimed with both hands firmly gripping the gun. Now that he was able to stand and hold his breath while firing his aim was much better and hit the target, not only once but twice.
"Stop the engine and come out with your hands above your head." A voice rang loud and clear through the speakers of the police car. -- "Fuck that." Brian muttered. Not too long ago he had used the same line on some random criminal. Now he was on the other end of the bargain. "I'm not going to prison."

*WAAAAAAAAAAAA -pshhh- WWWAAAAAAAAAAAAAA* That was the sound emitted from the charger's exhaust when Dom hit the NOS and shifted to 4th. He truly thought they were home free, the trailing cops had nothing on this 150 shot of NOS adding another 200 horses or so. He thought too soon An LAPD squad car suddenly jolted out in front of them, completely blocking the way. Hitting the car at this speed would mean an end to the pursuit, so Dom skidded his way to a barely controllable stop - but not before he t-boned the police cruiser in the door - thankfully at a rather slow speed. "FUCK!" He hit reverse and quickly got as much distance as he could between the stopped cop car and himself. Trouble was, now the pursuing cops were on their ass. Before Dom could get the car out of there, they drew their guns and unloaded into the charger, several bullets hit the right rear tire, immediately flattening it. Dom had no choice but to keep his foot in it and aim for the rear quarter panel of the blocking squad car. Their only chance was to plow through and hope the car could still function. "Hold on!." He exclaimed right before they crashed through the cop car, moving it just barely enough to scrap their way past. The stunned officers quickly tried to regroup and get back in their cars. It was now or never for Dom. The charger was still alive but already losing water pressure from the massive front impact, not to mention visibility over the hood was moderately decreased. The road opened up beyond the docks and Dom put the gas pedal down and hit the NOS, making his shifts through the gears as quick as possible. That flat right rear angrily reminded Dom of it's presence as it caused the back of the car to toss around and nearly rip itself right out of the Toretto's control. But he managed...somehow, he managed.

Jack surreptitiously touched his side again, somehow hoping it wouldn't feel as bad this time. It was worse. He audibly gasped, suppressing the urge to curse when the pain suddenly turned almost unbearable. His already wet shirt was gradually becoming soaked with his blood, some of it already staining the top of his pants, while he only vaguely realized that the owner of the dog was talking to him now, asking questions he really didn't want to answer.
Just fuck off, guy...
"No. No. Don't need help. Just need the address of your vet," he finally answered through tightly clenched teeth, practically grinding them. His face scrunched with discomfort; every movement he made sent shock waves of pain through him, like a red-hot poker suddenly puncturing his left side over and over again, making it more and more clear that he needed medical attention as soon as possible, or else he wasn't sure this was going to end well for him. Already he was sweating profusely despite the chill his wet clothes provided. And he was trembling.
I swear to God. If I die, someone is gonna get their ass haunted...

White teeth were exposed while a low growl was letting Jack know that the dog did not buy his story. Neither did his owner. This man was obviously wounded and soaking wet. If he was so keen on not getting any help he surely had something to hide.
Of course he wasn't exactly a cop but he still tried to be a good citizen and ensure that people weren't overstepping their boundaries. In this case he could either walk away or 'help' this young man.
"Down he ordered once again in a voice that could make anybody's blood run cold including the dogs. Then he stepped forward and nodded at Jack. "What the heck do you want with a vet in the middle of the night." He reached for his arm to pull him up onto the solid part of the sloping banks. "I'll call an ambulance for you...or should I be calling the cops?" The giant wasn't intimidated by the suspicious drowned rat in front of him in the slightest. If anything this man had to be afraid because he could... Before he could end his thought the dog had already taken a bit out of the fabric of Jacks pants barking like crazy, ducking and growling.
Instantly his owner pulled him back and slapped him over the back, which left the dog growling but laying down again. With his phone in his hand and little remorse he gave Jack a look. "What's it gonna be, boy?"

She heard the cops right behind them and the bullets that fly by them, Mia didn´t protest when Brian decided to shield her using his body the only thing that helped her see a little in all this darkness was the blue and red lights of the police cars giving her an idea of how close they really were to catch them and that´s when she noticed Brian´s light blue shirt stain with a darker color. Blood...
“Brian…” she whispered his name alarmed by what she saw. Something she never paid attention to when she helped him to get inside the car, the way he inhale and exhale, little details that were now starting to be visible and audible.
“Get rid of them fast, Dom….and go straight to a hospital!” she shouted as Dom kept doing his best. “Don´t fall asleep,” she muttered to Brian poking his ribs not too hard but enough for him to get the message.

The shot of NOS didn't get them very far even though the Charger took off like a rocket for a moment it came to a screetching halt all too soon. Brian's shoulder got pressed against the front seat by the sudden loss of velocity. A moment later the car was backing up, which made Brian lift his head despite the bulletts flying all around the car.
"fffffff" The too familiar sound of a tire loosing air gave away that at least one of the bulletts had hit its target. "What are these guys? Gun crazy?" Never once in his time with the LAPD had Brian fired this many shots at unarmed men. Then again the police might not know that none of the people in the car were armed with all the shots that had been fired in the warehouse.
Dom did his best to get them out of there by ramming the car behind them out of the way. For a moment not shots could be heard, only the violent shaking of the vehicle could be felt. Then the Charger picked up speed even though the back tire was flat and the ride rather bumpy.
Brian was trying to figure out a game plan if they had to abandon the charger and at the same time tried to keep all his sore body parts from bumping into the side panels and seat of the car, which was damn near impossible because there were so many of them. Mia tore Brian out of his thoughts with her alarmed voice and words. Taking a slightly deeper breath, that made his ribs ache, he looked into her eyes. Her face showed true concern but she was going a little too far for his taste. "No, Dom, just get us the hell out of here. I'm okay." He looked down at his blood stained shirt and hoped that all of that really just came from the missing skin. "...I hope." There was also blood on Mia's white blouse. For a second Brian's heart sank because he feared she might have been hit. "Are you okay, Mia?"
The sirens behind them and speakers that ordered them to stop or they'd open fire again didn't give him much time to think about their personal well being.
"By now they've run your plates and you're not getting far on the rim. We need to ditch this car." Brian announced through gritted teeth and lifted his head to see where they were going and how close the cops were.
What he saw made him loose all hope at once. Four police cars were so close that he could almost read the drivers badge number.
They only had two options. Dom could throw Mia out at a corner and keep driving, which would most likely result in all of them getting arrested...or drive their car right into the bay and swim.

"What the heck do you want with a vet in the middle of the night. I'll call an ambulance for you... or should I be calling the cops?"
Jack wasn't given any time to respond. Once he was on more solid ground, the man's dog suddenly lunged at him, almost pulling him off his feet while sharp teeth tore at his jeans. He felt the material of his pants rip, but thankfully not his flesh when the animal was immediately pulled back from him again, receiving a scolding from it's owner. Then the man turned to Jack once more while producing a phone from his pocket.
"What's it gonna be, boy?"
Shit... He needed to get away from here, and he needed to get away from here now.
"Neither...," Jack answered, his voice strained and tremulous. He took a few steps back from the dog and it's owner while he drew his gun from the back of his jeans, raising the weapon in a blood-streaked, trembling hand, gritting his teeth when the movement sent more shock waves of pain through him. No matter how much it felt like his side was on fire, stuffed full of sharp barbs that would tear him apart with every single insignificant movement, no matter how much it hurt just to breathe, he wasn't going down either of those roads. Medical staff was bound by law to report any gunshot wounds; going to a hospital would get him caught almost as surely as this man calling the cops would.
"Keep that fucking hellhound away from me and toss me your phone. Now!" he ordered, thumbing off the safety of his gun and positioning the weapon so that even in the darkness, there was no mistake that it was there, aimed at something vital. All the while, Jack prayed silently that the man wouldn't do anything stupid. But if he did, and he had to use the gun, he'd make certain his shot would be sure.

Mia wasn´t exaggerating when she told Dom to go to a hospital, they were in the middle of nowhere and Brian was going to need some medical attention, she was going to help heal his wounds as much as she could…
Her gaze met his. They couldn´t risk go to a hospital and how could they go when the bullets reached one of the tires, the only way for him to be taken to a hospital was to surrender to the police and there was no way in hell she was going to let that happen. “Damn it, Brian! You are not okay,” she shot back and controlled her anger, now it was not the time, it was understandable at one point, she was desperate, same as her brother and Brian too. “Sorry…” she apologized for her little outburst and reassured him she was okay keeping her head down.
Brian took a quick look at the cops and once again started to cover her, she could clearly read his expression, they were all screwed. Until the sound of water returned the little faith she had lost by now, Mia hoped Dom followed Brian´s advice.

Dom was now authentically frustrated. He was out of cards to pull. The car was pretty much done, Brian could barely walk, and yet they still had the LAPD straight on their bumper. If they surrendered, was there a chance that Hobbs would step in? Probably not, especially since they had already racked up enough infractions just in this chase to go to prison for quite awhile.
Since when did the police get so good at pursuits? This used to be easy...
"You can't even walk, Brian. How the hell are you gonna run without a car?" Dom checked back in his mirror only to see the same sight from a few moments ago. "We're gonna need some help, or something." Dom said in between catching the car from spinning out several times.

Only driving on the rim now the cops had it easy to catch up with the Charger plus it became really hard to handle through turns. Once the tail hit a wall and almost brought them to an instant halt. It was clear that they'd only make maybe another 5 minutes, if at all.
All the more Mia's scolding felt out of place. "What does it matter if we're all going to jail?" Brian barked at her. Even her sorry didn't help. With his face contorted in pain he glared at her. There's was different feeling visible on his features as well though. Worry about her. "That means you, too, Mia."
He didn't say any more because Dom's voice sounded just as desperate as his own. "Fuck, I don't know!" He pushed himself up to a sitting position to see where they were. Then he muttered. "You either pull somebody out of your ass, who is no more than three minutes away, or you send this thing off the docks. I doubt they'll follow us."

Hanging on to the car with only three tires on it was becoming ridiculously difficult at these speeds. Not to mention the damage in the rear suspension the tire caused when it flew apart. Something drastic needed to be done, Dom really wasn't sure what, but something.
"Cool it guys!" Dom exclaimed to both of them has he had his hands full with the steering wheel. He didn't need to listen to yet another argument while trying to handle this situation.
Brian's suggestion almost seemed laughable, yet as he looked towards the last few bays and out towards the ocean. It felt like that was the only trick they could pull that would maybe catch the police off guard. "I hope your right about this, O'Conner." The charger suddenly veered off (barely, as the backend once again tried to snap out) to the right back into a smaller outpost that almost looked like some sort of checkpoint for the ships. Somehow they had to hide themselves to make the cops think they went down with the car. Dom aimed the car towards a ship launching area that was about 20 yards out in the ocean from the dock itself. Maybe they could hide underneath that or something.
Getting as much speed as possible before "lift off," the car flew off the edge of the docks and sailed a decent amount of distance in the air before meeting the ocean surface.

Dom´s words to Brian answer all her questions, and when the charger started to gain speed towards the end of the docks she knew what she had to do and braced herself for what was coming up next. The impact from the car hitting the surface of the ocean shook them all a little before the windshield of the car started to crack slowly then faster, in a second the pressure of the water finally broke the glass completely.
Water kept sinking the car; they needed to get out fast if they wanted to survive. Mia trembled as the cold water came in contact with her skin at the same time she had to remind herself not to panic.

Admittedly it had been his stupid idea but Brian was only half serious when he suggested jumping off the docks. That Dom really went through with it only proofed that he was just as much of a daredevil as Brian...and just as stupid.
His heart started racing faster with every inch they got closer to the end of the ramp. His hands wrapped tightly around the headrest in front of him to hold onto something when the car got launched off the docks and hit the surface that seemed to be made of stone for a moment before the Charger started sinking. The impact threw Brian against the seat in front of him.
"You fucking nut!" Brian couldn't help his scream filled with fear and admiration at the same time.
It took only seconds for the car to start sinking. A rush of adrenalin made Brian jump into action pulling at the door handle but opening the damn thing under water with the growing pressure pushing against it proofed to be harder than he thought. Mia had the same troubles when from one second to the next a flood of salt water entered the car through the broken windshield. Suddenly submerged in icy cold water Brian felt his chest tighten with fear. What if they couldn't free themselves form their prison under water quickly enough. His ribs ached under the water pressure, yet he turned around and tried to kick the side window out. It didn't work.
Mia's dark hair was floating all around her so Brian couldn't see whether she was okay or panicking as well. He reached for her hand and pulled her towards the only way out. The broken front windshield. A soft thud gave away that the vehicle had reached the bottom and slowly but surely Brian was running out of air.
The icy liquid that seemed to be entering every damn pore of his body tugged on his like cold fingers that wanted to keep him down there. In the darkness of the ocean he couldn't see much and the stars above didn't provide enough light.
Yet he pushed himself though the front window and pulled Mia with him. It hadn't even been two minutes but he was damn close to suffocating while he struggled like a drowning cat against the underwater current.

She felt Brian´s hand pulling her towards him. They started to swim out of the car and noticed how Brian was having a hard time staying underwater and he wasn´t the only one, her lungs burn demanding some air and she started to panic pulling at Brian´s hand, desperate to get out. She swam as far away from the car as she could, until she had no choice but to let her head out of the water gasping for air and coughing, she looked at Brian for a moment making sure he was out of the water too and inhaling some fresh air.
"Where is Dom?" she took a long look around her, it was so dark underwater she never knew if he was following them or if he got out a lot sooner than they did. She wanted to dive back in, but with all this darkness it was impossible.

OOC: I would've presumed it was implied that we were smart enough to open the damn windows first In not too many other ways could you experience the full force of simple water. They might as well have dive-bombed straight into an asphalt parking lot, that's what it felt like. Dom's body violently hit the steering wheel along with his knees having a forceful meeting with the lower dashboard. Despite the pain, he quickly got into action as the water submerged the car much more quickly than he would've bargained for. The water was almost paralyzingly cold. For a second, it looked like they might have been in real trouble. Annoyingly, Dom found that his foot was stuck in the lower dash from the collision. Talk about a unique but very inconvenient situation. Luckily, Brian was on top of things and dragged Mia out while he struggled with his foot. With a few seconds of wrestling it around, he was finally free, but not until the car was at the bottom. Dom pulled himself out of the car and swam to where he saw daylight. He could not have reached the surface any later than when he finally did. He kept his head in the water and only poked his face out to avoid detection. With a frantic-ness in his movements, his eyes darted around for Brian and Mia. They had to get underneath the launching pad in case the spotlight came out.

The lack of air and pressure on Brian's chest was the worst thing he'd ever felt in his life. Even though he was already swimming towards the surface he thought he'd die any moment. Like a whale he broke through the surface gasping for air, coughing and gasping again. It took a good long moment until his lungs had filled with enough oxygen for him to regain his orientation and become aware that all would be in vain if they didn't dissapear very quickly. The salty water was stinging his broken skin like a yelly fish all the way from his shoulder to his knee and his ribcache angrily protested every stroke he swam. Every two strokes Brian had to pause when suddeny a search light hit the water right behind him. Instantly he took one deep breath and pushed under the surface hoping Mia and Dom would do the same. The light was enough to illuminate the water around him to find his way to the launching pad. Whether it also gave away his outline in the water he didn't know. Pulling as hard as he could he struggled forward against the stinging pain in his chest and knee. Brian barely made it into the shadows of the pad when his strength left him. In the blueish light he spotted Mia and Dom, who had already made it to safety. ""Are you okay?" He huffed. The searchlight followed them to the pad, circled it but then left again. With his hand on a wooden beam Brian looked around. On the other side were a two smaller boats and a large one in about 100 meters distance. ""We need to reach those boats." Brian pointed towards them. His lips were quivering because of the cold of the water. "Fast."

As expected, a searchlight began circling around the water and Dom could only hope that the water had enough gas, oil, and whatever other junk in it to conceal them in the water. With the occasional dunk underneath to avoid the light, he finally got underneath the launching pad and was relieved to see Mia there, soon joined by Brian. "Better than you are, by the looks of it." He observed as Brian was obviously in pain, and should be. Dom took a look at the boats and then looked through the platform boards towards the police stationed on the edge of where they left the ground. "They haven't seen us yet, I say we make them think we went down with the car."
