"No keep your hands up, lace your fingers behind your head," she said quickly pulling her gun, he could be reaching for a weapon and she couldn't have him shooting her on her first day.
She licked her lips and bit the bottom one as she looked him over once more, there was something about him that she just couldn't place. He almost reminded her of her brother.

The girl was jumpy and that made Brian nervous. So he followed her orders and lifted his hands back up and laced his fingers behind his head. The fact that she was just staring at him and not detaining him right away gave him hope though. "You're new to this, aren't you?" For some strange reason, probably the alcohol he suddenly had to laugh. "I was once like you are now but I would have had the cuffs on the bad guy by now." He dropped his hands to his side and giggled.

Jack tilted his head back after he was turned around, not even bothering to listen to his so called rights as he sniffed against the blood trickling from his nose. A lost cause, but he couldn't exactly use his cuffed hands. He grinned slightly at the cop's next words, causing blood to trickle from his upper lip down to his lower lip and over his chin.
"Check my fucking wallet, you ass. The car ownership papers are in there and on my name." He growled before he was pushed toward the squad car, and of course his head was hit against the frame of the car when he was pushed inside.. If he hadn't already murdered all his brain cells, that would surely help. Wasn't there a law against police brutality? "You're hysterical for a dick." He mumbled as he dropped his head back against the seat. If his brother was doing better than him, he would, with out as much as a doubt, kill the bastard with his own bare hands.

"I need the name of the owner of the vehicle with the following license plate." The cop read Jacks license plate to the woman on the other end of the radio. "It's registered under Jack O'Conner." Of course the man wasn't pleased to hear that the rude son of a bitch in the back was actually telling the truth. "Anything on him."
The man put his radio on the dashboard waiting for the reply and looked back at Jack and his bleeding nose. "Why is your car shot up like that and why are you bleeding?"
A moment later the radio came to life again. "He's still awaiting his trial for...hang on....manslaughter. Out on bail."

"PUT YOUR HANDS BEHIND YOUR HEAD!" she yelled holding the gun higher as she took a step back from him reaching for you plastic ties.
She couldn't take any chances now, if he had been a cop then she was in big trouble even if he was intoxicated.
"I will shoot, I swear I will," she said unable to keep the tremor out of her voice.

For a moment Brian was taken back but then started laughing again. For the third time he lifted his hands up and shook his head. "No, you won't." This woman wouldn't shoot him for no obvious reason. All he had done was steal a car. As soon as she needed both hands to put the zip ties on him he'd grab her gun and teach her a lesson.

Jack snorted half in amusement, half from the blood still flowing free down from his nose. "It's shot up because someone shot at it, and I'm bleeding because you whacked me head first against my car. Which by the way.. thanks for that." He mumbled, knowing damn well that wasn't what the cop was talking about as he closed his eyes. His head was throbbing and not just from the dick's friendly actions.
"You wouldn't happen to have an aspirin or eight on you, would you?" He grumbled, shifting so that he was at least a little more comfortable with his hands cuffed behind his back. Why oh why did he get this stupid idea, and why did he get caught by bad cop, bad cop at a fast food joint of all places.
He cracked on eye open when the radio came back to life, and he silently cursed under his breath. His situation was just getting fancier and fancier, perfect timing to have that bite him in the ass.

"We're not handing out anything to murderers." He growled and turned around.
A moment later they were on the way to the station. On the way there they let dispatch know that they were bringing in the man, they had just detained. A slight grin spread across Dick's face about his 'catch of the day' while he listened to the chase on the radio.
His partner reached into his fries and stated. "Told you it's better to stay out of that chase."
12 minutes later Jack was pushed down on a plastic chair in an empty room, the cuffs tied to the bolted down table and a tissue dropped into his lap.

PLEASE NOTE: JACK's THREAD WILL BE CONTINUED AT DOWNTOWN- POLICE STATION

She bit her lip and grabbed the zip ties holding them as she grabbed one of his hands and placed the gun against his chest as she extended her fingers trying to grab his other wrist.
She didn't know what she was going to do. It wasn't like she knew where she was, not to mention this man had used to be a cop and had a bit of strength on her.
She knew she was supposed to turn him around to get his hands together but there was no way even if he was intoxicated.

It was almost painful to watch this young woman. Any other guy would have already turned the gun around on her and that was exactly what Brian was going to do. He lowered his hands pretending to let her tie him up but when she slipped the plastic around his wrists he grabbed a hold of her gun and twisted it out of her hands. "Man o man, how long have you been a cop?" The weapon was now in his hands and it would have been too easy to put a bullet in her leg to make sure he could walk away without being pursued but Brian knew how much that hurt and he wasn't about to put her through that.

She jolted in panic, he was not only free but he also had her gun, "First night on the job..." She said swallowing.
This was the end, it wasn't even a full 24 hours after she had gotten her badge and she had already damaged her car and he now had her gun. She was done, whether she walked out of the alley alive or not her career was completely over. There was no second chances on this force, there was no backup coming to save her ass either.

Her face clearly reveiled her shock. Brian tried to get his hands back out of the zip tie without dropping the gun without any success. "Where's your partner?" He wondered. "I'm not going to shoot you." He explained to ease her mind. Instead he dropped the magazine to the ground. One bullett was left inside. He turned around and aimed at the driver seat of the stolen car and fired. Then handed her back the gun.
"Now listen carefully. Don't ever go after somebody by yourself again, don't get so close that they can take your gun and don't let them face you."

She swallowed, "They never assigned me one. We're running short on cops in the force," she said wincing as he dropped the magazine and fired the last round into the drivers seat of the RX.
"Why are you trying to help me be a better cop?" she asked taking the gun sliding it back into its holster, "Do you want to get caught? I can always take you over to county now since you won't be getting out of those without help."
She motioned to the zip tie handcuffs as she looked him over, he seemed like he was used to running. Even if running meant driving a stolen vehicle while intoxicated apparently.

"I don't know." Brian admitted. "I guess I'm hoping you'll let me go." His speech was still slightly slurred even though Brian had pretty good grip on himself for the amount of shots he had consumed. He looked down the alley to see whether they'd have any company but it didn't look that way.
"I've been in your shoes. You have to watch your back though. Being a cop is dangerous."
He held out his hands to her. "How about letting me go? I won't tell." Brian used all his charms to play with her mind- an encouraging smile on his lips.

She shook her head, "No. Your still intoxicated and if I let you go your just going to get picked up else where. Not to mention the car you stole isn't exactly running any more and your prints are all over it."
She looked at him with a look caught between worry and concern. He wasn't as bad as he had been which meant that he was sobering up as they talked. Not to mention that he was trying to look after her as an old cop, but he should know better then to steal a car and drive under the influence.
"Why did you quit?" she asked looking at him, "I might let you go... But I have to be sure your no longer intoxicated and that your not going to try and drive this car anymore since you pretty much totaled it."

Brian almost laughed out loud. This was probably the tenth mistake she was about to make...let somebody go. Somebody she didn't even know. Even Brian had not been this bad of a cop when he was young. Almost he suggested that being a cop might not be the best profession for her but he held his tongue.
She had a point about the prints though. "Good point." he answered and thought about how he could wipe the prints off or with what. He couldn't ask her for a rag, could he? Maybe she could do it for him. Now he really had to laugh. Quickly he pulled the shirt over his head, which didn't go further than his tied hands, so he climbed in the car and started wiping the wheel, stick, hand brake, blinkers and dashboard, then the door handle on the in and outside.
"I have the wrong friends." Was his explanation why he quit. He came to stand very close in her personal space. As close as only drunk people would come or very good friends. "Just tell them you tried to stop me, even shot at me but I threatened you, so you had to call for backup. At least you retreived the stolen car." "I'll just walk...iif you let me."

She watched him wipe the car clean as she bent and picked up the magazine slipping it into the gun with a click as she shoved him backwards when he got too close.
She held the gun at chest level and backed away slightly so that she was out of grabbing range as she cocked the gun, "Don't move a muscle! I can't let you walk out of this alley, and I don't feel like loosing my badge on my first day."
Keeping the gun locked on his chest she used her walkie, "Dispatch I need backup on my location. I have the suspect cuffed but uncontained."
The voice chirped to life and several units responded to the call, heading to her location. She looked at him with a stoney expression.
"I'm sorry but I can't let you go."

Brian would have smacked himself upside the head if the plastic ties would have allowed him to when he looked down the barrel of her gun once again. How could he be so drunk or stupid to leave the magazine on the ground?
"What?!" He exclaimed. "Seriously? I could have shot you."
What made him really nervous was when she called for backup. It would be a matter of minutes until the place was filled with eager cops.
Brian gave her a long, sad, dissapointed look. "You won't loose your badge. How many times do suspects get away?" Slowly he walked around her lifting his hands. "I'm going to walk down that alley now and you're not going to shoot me in the back because ..." His pale blue eyes found hers ."You're not a killer." Suddenly he moved forward, this time not grabbing her gun but placing a kiss on her lips, that lastet just long enough to leave an impression. Then he turned his back on her and walked away.

"But you didn't shoot me," She said holding the gun tighter as he come close to her again, "Back up will be here in a matter of minutes. I'm not going to let you walk away. I have to prove that I can do this job." She jerked as he kissed her, she had noticed that he had a ring on his finger, meaning he was a married man. A married man, who had drank too much, stole a car and took it for a joy ride around the town. She followed him as he walked down the alley, "Stop! I will shoot!" When he didn't stop she fired once, the bullet striking him in the shoulder, before she was running after him.

Something bit him in the shoulder and pushed him forward so it wasn't hard to put two and two together. Brian had gotten her totally wrong. She had pulled the trigger on him. As Brian stumbled against the large trash container in front of him he winced in pain. Even as drunk as he was it hurt like a bitch and when he turned around he saw her running towards him. With his hands tied he pushed himself away from the metal, ran around it and found an old building with a broken door behind it that he ran into. If he stayed out in the alley she might just shoot him again.
